Jean was a delight to work with and one of my favorite vendors. I found The Write Place through a friend, who was married in New Hampshire, though I live and am planning a wedding in another city. We worked together over email, and Jean made it SO easy to create the invitation suite of my dreams. She searched for the exact script I wanted and always returned all of my emails quickly. Jean was great to work with! I have worked with her twice for invitations for my daughter's birthday party - which was specifically themed. Jean came up with the design and the wording for the invitations as well as matching thank you notes. She even addressed the envelopes for me (for both the invitations and the thank yous!). Okay, so the need did arise, and I am glad Jean was there for me. We were planning a good-sized (housewarming) party for this past weekend. From the beginning, I was nervous that everyone we were going to invite would have other plans, so I worked with Jean to make up some "Save the Date" cards. Jean and I took care of this part of the project completely by email: we selected the card (she has a great selection), we selected the font(s), and Jean had the cards printed, THEN she addressed the envelopes, stuffed them, applied postage, and got them to the post office! Fabulous...while Jean was doing all that I could focus on fretting about wording for the actual invitations. Jean helped me select just the right invite (many, many people raved about how much they loved them!!!), she helped me tweak the wording, then we got them printed up. Once again, Jean took that project from start to finish (even though she was on vacation for part of the time!!!). The RSVPs started flowing in, the party date came and went, and I was unflustered and feeling good about the quality of what we did. Now we are working on a set of thank you notes to send to our guests. We will again handle this through email because I was right in having the confidence in Jean from the beginning! I was looking for high-quality gift paper, and a friend recommended The Write Place. While Jean no longer sells it in her store due to low demand, she chatted with me for a while helping me try to find a solution at another venue, and then offered to sell me the three new rolls she had at her house from back when she did carry it. She took pictures that evening and emailed them to me, and could not have been more kind and helpful. The prints of the paper unfortunately did not work with our corporate theme (they are for fake Christmas presents in our office), but I wanted to pass on how genuinely lovely Jean was to me. I don't have experience with her printing, but we may use her if we can in the future, simply because it's so rare to find someone so willing to help these days. I can imagine if you are stressed planning a wedding or event, Jean would be exactly the kind of person you'd want to be working with! read more

Jean was absolutely fabulous to work with! Wedding planning can be stressful, but she was great to provide my fiance and I with all our options based on our likes and was very willing to accommodate our schedules since we were coming out of state.
