Went on Yelp to find a local balloon/flower shop to send my beautiful granddaughter something for her birthday. Called Jacques place. Lady was super nice. She put together a nice balloon and stuffed bunny package and delivered it today. Price of this delivery was great (half of what it would cost in California). She loved it. They will be my go to place for both of my granddaughter's birthdays from here forward. Highly recommend!!!!

Ive ordered flowers from many different places over the years for different occasions. But the 1 that gives me pleasure is the Patriotic Arrangement from Jacques Flower Shop. This year I debated on sending another order for my sensitive feelings on my days birthday. I mentioned the disappointment last year. Jacques did an amazing job this year. I am overwhelmed with my special order of flower arrangement. Feb 22nd is a special day to me. A day of memories attack my heart and sole. Thank you Jacques Flower Shop in giving me this day with this order to experience such an abundance of life memories

My girlfriend ordered a small bouquet for a funeral, and we were very disappointed with the quality. She paid $55, and I picked the arrangement up the same day it was ordered, yet the flowers were already wilted when I arrived. For the price, we expected something fresh and presentable, especially for such an important occasion. read more

Adam was friendly and efficient on the phone when ordering a bouquet to be delivered next day. Jacques came through with a super fresh and beautiful bouquet of large white lily buds, exotic greenery, and gorgeous white roses. The receiving family is very pleased. I truly appreciate the people at Jacques. I called on a Saturday afternoon wanting a special delivery to the the hospital. They embellished my original idea to make it outstanding. Their courier was out on service so one of the people in the shop delivered it personally to the hospital. I was so pleased to find that that level of service that goes above and beyond. Long-standing local business. I called in hoping for a same day delivery for a birthday bouquet and they were able to accommodate. I told them my budget was $50 for the arrangement and they produced an impressive presentation! Jacques is by far a top-notch business with world-class customer service. I called today to place an order to be delivered to my girlfriend at work since she was feeling under the weather. I was able to find Jacque's various arrangements quick and easy via their website. Once i selected what i wanted to order, i called and started the process. The lady on the phone was very upbeat, positive, knowledgeable and helpful. She made me feel very comfortable with this process. She was able to quickly and correctly get my message across. She was more than helpful in completing my order. Later today, the flowers will be delivered to my girlfriend at her work just as i had planned. This experience was incredible to me because not once did i step foot into the facility, yet they made me a customer for life. Through an efficient website, world-class customer service and an easy ordering process Jacque's was able to assist me in achieving the result i was looking for: making my girlfriend smile from ear to ear. (Without Jacque's combination of internet and delivery options i would not be able to achieve such a goal, as i currently do not have a license and live out of town. They are a family owned and operated flower and gift shop, and they will make up anything that you like that have been beautiful arraignments for us at a reasonable price. We had 2 consultations with them, to go over what we wanted and what was possible, pricing, decor, etc. They were also informative and excited to create what we wanted. Specialties

Jacques Flower Shop, Inc. has been a family-run business since its inception in 1910. For over 100 years the Jacques/Lagasse family, and currently the Godbout/Lindh family, have provided the Greater Manchester, NH Area with beautiful fresh flowers, plants and more. Jacques was founded as a greenhouse operation in 1910 by O. Roaul Jacques and his daughter, Colombe. Colombe wanted to add a floral shop to their business, so with her father's permission, she rode the train to Boston each day to attend floral design school. She was certainly a pioneer of her time. She put off marriage and family to dedicate her time and energy to making her flower shop a success - even making deliveries on her bicycle during the Great Depression. Eventually, Colombe married, and she and her husband moved the flower shop to its landmark location at the Amoskeag Rotary. It was she who operated the business for nearly 50 years. In 1974, after the birth of their second child, Paul Godbout went to Jacques to buy flowers for his wife, Nancy. Upon learning the shop was for sale, he and Nancy decided to purchase the small but promising business. Over the years, they have worked very hard to make Jacques the success that it is today. Their children, Aimee, Paul III, and Adam have grown up working in the business, Aimee becoming the corporate president in 1991...

History

Established in 1910.

Jacques flower shop was started in Manchester, NH, on Lowell St, just above Corey square in 1910 by O Raoul Jacques. His daughter, Colombe Jacques, entered the business in 1924 . She married Larry Lagasse in 1951 and moved the business to the Amoskeag traffic circle. In 1974, Paul and Nancy Godbout bought the business and expanded it nearly 20 fold over the next 40 years. They bought 7 other local florists and consolidated their operations under the Jacques name. They now operate under one large roof at 712 Mast Rd in a 7500 sq ft building. Jacques is the largest FTD flower shop in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. They are also in the top 5 of all New England flower shops. Currently, their children, Aimee and Adam are now also involved, as they prepare to run the flower shop in 2015 and beyond.

Meet the Business Owner: Paul G.

Paul Godbout and Nancy were born in Manchester, NH, educated locally, and live locally. They are a true family business by any definition, with their son and daughter, Adam and Aimee and 3 granddaughters all working together to bring beautiful flowers to our community. They all love the flower business and hope that Jacques will operate for the next 100 years !

They told us they had all the flowers we had requested, however they called the next day saying they actually don't have the white roses we wanted. This is not the main reason I am writing this review. The main reason is their attitude and disrespect when I spoke to them on the phone. They know we just lost a loved one and treated as if they are doing us a favor. I could have picked a place like Chalifour's whose customer service is 10x times better. DO NOT choose them for any of your events. There are multiple places in the area that are better. Unfortunately we didn't have another choice given our time crunch..

I have worked with Jacques Flower Shop for about 10 years, ever since moving to New England. As someone who has given my wife, high-dollar custom bouquets for 20 years now, in places as diverse as Omaha, Seattle and Salt Lake City - I can tell you Jacques is the absolute best! It is gratifying to be greeted by name when I walk into the shop and walk out with personalized, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements. The staff is attentive and helpful as I describe the arrangement I have in mind and then completely brilliant in the execution of that idea. Definitely a Flower Shop that loves what they are doing and cares deeply. I'm out of state, found this shop and after a phone conversation with Adam I was sure this was the right place. Not going to go into all the details but Adam and Eric went above and beyond their duty to me to get my flower order delivered! We had many obstacles that by no means were their fault, totally my fault yet they bent over backwards to deliver. A family-owned flower shop who'll bring you fresh flowers for any occasion. Bought a beautiful garden hanger for my office and it's just lovely. I was even advised on how I should take care of the flowers so it lasts longer. Jacques Flower Shop is very easy to transact with. And they make sure that what you wanted is what you'll definitely get. I find it even more special how they take really great care of each customer's option for flowers and flower arrangements. I used Jacques for my daughter's wedding in Maine. Prior to the wedding they went to the venue to get a better idea of what they could do to create the look and feel we wanted. They created an absolutely magical look from the woodland chapel, flowers for the tables, the tent and the brides and bridal party bouquets. To our surprise they added a extra beautiful touch with a water feature in the tent that brought it all together. I could not be happier with results. read more

I ordered two floral arrangements for my father's memorial service in July. One was the Leaf and Petals basket, and the other was a custom arrangement featuring tropical-looking flowers. I asked the designers at Jacques to make sure the two baskets would complement one another, since they would be sitting at opposite ends of a table. The arrangements looked great!
