I went to Over the Rainbow to look for a wedding dress in May of 2009. I like to comb through…read moredressed myself rather than have someone who just met me pick my dream dress, so this was the right place for me. The owner was busy with another bride who was ordering invitations, so my mom and I went into the (small) back room where the dresses were and we pulled anything that may have caught our eye in a range of sizes. I found about 10 dresses to try on, a few of which were the exact same dresses that I had tried on (new) at other shops. 1or 2 of them fit okay, but none of them were "the one". I have a tough body to fit because I'm quite tall, so most of the problems had to do with length. The dresses are priced at half of what the original purchase price and the brands range from David's Bridal to Vera Wang. If you're lucky, you could end up with a beautiful designer gown at 50% off. Most of the dresses already have a bustle ready to go. The owner said that their stock is constantly changing and that many brides find their dress on the 2nd or 3rd visit. The owner was helpful while I was trying on dresses, but the dressing room was also the room where all the dresses were and it was cramped. Also, beware that they don't take credit/debit cards, so bring a checkbook in case you find "the dress". I may head back there to find a veil (they have a lot of head pieces) since I think it's ridiculous to spend hundreds on a veil.

A huge shoutout to Pam, the owner of Tin Bucket, for her absolutely wonderful customer service. I…read moream writing this review because Pam went above and beyond when helping me with an important framed print for my daughter Sarah's rehearsal dinner. The framed print was purchased by Sarah's future mother-in-law to display at the event. She initially asked me to do the lettering--the wedding couple's names and title--on the matte, giving me less than two weeks to complete it. (I must admit, she initially thought I could do it by hand, but I didn't feel comfortable with the task.) While searching The Tin Bucket website, I saw the beautiful work Pam could do with lettering transfers. I reached out and asked if she could possibly take on this project. With a smile on her cheery face, Pam went right to work, providing possible different lettering choices within just three days! Once the lettering was agreed upon, Pam took apart the frame only to find the matte was glued to the frame itself. This is the remarkable part, especially with the rehearsal dinner just a few days away: Pam actually bought another frame and matte herself and finished the lettering! It was all done within the needed timeframe, even with the unexpected matte issue. I cannot thank Pam enough; she was professional, delightful, and truly committed to helping me. I believe this level of service is extraordinary these days, and it is so important to know we have Pam and The Tin Bucket in our town. I am so pleased I thought of Pam and chose to support a local Reading business owner. Many thanks again, Pam!

I was going to use one of the templates on google or theknot, but I heard about Affinity Creations through someone I knew and I decided to go for it. And boy, was I happy with the result! There were so many awesome templates to choose from and it was easy to add content. I had a primary person whom I worked with and he was helpful and responsive when I had questions. It was also easy to customize my page to meet my needs. I loved how our template was designed to display well on screens large & small and it was easy to navigate. On the practical side, I really liked how I could provide individualized RSVP forms. For example, when my family logged in to RSVP, they could respond to both the rehearsal dinner & the wedding. Whereas other guests would only have the response for the wedding. It was also handy that I could organized my guests & their responses based on different criteria (e.g. meals, which events they are attending, respond dates etc) and then export all my results as an excel file. We used photos from our engagement shoot for the website and we launched it when we sent out our save the dates. SO many of my guests actually took the time to tell us in email or in person how cool our website looked!! Overall, I was very satisfied with the design & function of my website and I was pleased with the service Affinity Creations provided. I highly recommend their service for any engaged couple!

Some things I loved in no particular order: 1. Wendy was helpful and responsive during the planning/booking process. 2. She was professional, prepared, and on time. 3. The lesson and materials were of high quality. Wendy demonstrated value with her advice and recommendations, offering us insights into how we could make our own candles without the professional equipment, on a lower budget, or just getting creative with different vessels etc. All the scents she brought with her (there were soooo many and she'd have even more if we went into the studio!) smelled AMAZING and true to what they were supposed to smell like. 4. The display and attention to detail were just phenomenal. Check out the pictures! We decorated the space for the party of course and the setup really enhanced the vibe we were going for! So beautiful and classy! 5. Wendy is just a really cool person! It was a pleasure working with her as well as just chatting and laughing with her during the craft. The whole group (8 of us) had nothing but praise afterwards. The highest recommendations for this wonderful local business! I definitely want to visit the studio and will be using Create & Escape again for future events, and you should too!
