We didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat us after a few minutes. The hostess mentioned that service would be faster if we chose the buffet since we told her we were going to the concert. We arrived at 5:30 and the concert was at 7:00 so we thought we had plenty of time. We ordered cocktails and our food at the same time. I opted for the buffet, which I could access immediately, and my friend chose a Caesar salad and a cup of soup. We waited about 20 minutes for the drinks to come and thought maybe they'd bring her food at the same time. But that didn't arrive until 6:20. For a cup of soup that they scooped out of a pot and a simple salad. Unfortunately the salad was inedible when it came because the romaine was limp and drenched in dressing. To their credit, when my friend pointed out that she couldn't eat it, the server immediately offered to take it off the check. We eventually got out of the restaurant at 6:45 with enough time for our 5 minute walk to the venue. The buffet was okay, nothing stellar. I knew going in that buffets aren't going to be as good as off the menu items, but I took a look at it before I ordered and thought it would be ok. It was only $17, so it was not a expensive gamble. Nice salad greens tossed with Cucumber, tomato and red onions plus some pickled red cabbage as a topper. Hot foods were mashed potatoes and gravy, fried chicken , Swedish Meatballs, and mixed sautéed vegetables. It was all good tasting and I was satisfied with it, just not wowed. My friend thought the soup was more French Onion than French mushroom. But she liked the ooey gooey cheese on top. Our cocktails were from the seasonal menu and were probably the best part of our meals. I had a Harvest Star and she had a Pilgrims Punch. Mine was bourbon based and hers, tequila. And for $7.00 very well priced. Because of the lag in service and the poor quality of the Caesar salad, I am rating this a 3 star experience. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable. The decor was typical hotel restaurant, low lighting and spacious seating areas.

My sister and I brought my mother for a sit down tea room experience. I shared a finger food tier with my mother. It was lacking in appearance, taste, and quality. Just a bunch of random mundane things you'd find in a dollar general and not fresh. There was basically no wait for our order. It was very quick. Waitress brought one plate for two people lol. And I had to ask for the tea list. Young girl seemed put out the moment we came in. But tried to be more polite towards the end. She never asked how we were. We stayed for about 35m. They use HT tea which I'm not a fan of and they use only one tea bag for a shared 16-24oz tea pot. My mug was a little dirty and stained. We had to ask for sugar. My sister said her Ruben sandwich was great and her ice tea was fine. Disclosure: we're all from a large city and maybe this is high quality for this little town. One of the biggest off putting part was seeing the naked hairy arm pits of a large man while trying to enjoy a special semi eloquent daughter/mother date. We dressed up a little and are not loud people. There really should be a certain dress code and volume control (large man was part of a large loud party) for a "tea room". I would not return or recommend.

If you follow my reviews, you know I'm a fan of old-school diners, the classics, and honest home-cooked food. Summit hits all three marks, serving straightforward and delicious American standards since the 1960s. The three-egg omelet loaded with veggies and sausage was exactly the pre-ski power-up I needed. My son stuck with his go-to breakfast burrito, and my daughter went with the classic two eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Everything was spot on. The staff has just the right level of "WWA"--Waitresses With Attitude. They are perfectly polite, but they hold the line on proper behavior and will quickly put anyone in their place if they step out of line. It keeps the environment grounded and authentic. A few tips for your visit: * Seating: Expect to wait for a table in the lobby or outside during peak hours. * Payment: Bring your wallet--this is a cash-only establishment.
