It did also have a sort of weird layout where it looked like the ovens were maybe up some stairs in the back but that is not really anything that the customers need to know. After looking over the cupcakes in the display case my wife and I decided to split the lemon and blueberry cupcake which had a blueberry filling and also the salted caramel one. We ended up taking these home and then eating them later in the night. They were both decent cupcakes but the opinions of my wife and myself differed as to which one was better. I preferred the salted caramel as it had a nice strong caramel taste while she preferred the lemon and blueberry which I thought needed to be stronger. In the end though we were satisfied and happy to have been able to try more than one flavor. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Buying the cupcakes was a breeze and the flavors of them were pretty good as well.

We had the cheese and bacon scone and felt quite impressed with how much it tasted like bacon and cheddar cheese while maintaining the texture of a scone. It was the first time ever that I tried a savory rather than sweet scone and it offered something I didn't expect along with the comforting expectation you get with a scone. The people who work here are super friendly and welcoming and let us sample something they didn't even have on display. They were eager to talk about the history of their bakery and inspiration behind their baked goods and that makes you feel good about supporting their business! I have been here quite a few times and found the wait staff to be friendly and helpful and my salads were fresh and delicious and coffee and pastry items were all good. What I can't quite figure out is the flow of the place. The way you order, receive your food, and move through the restaurant just feels awkward and oddly unwelcoming.
