Been using this place for over a decade now. They have worked on anything from trucks and cars to a simple lawn mower. They are always busy due to demand but I can respect that because I know they do great work and how much people need there services. I have been going to the Wrench for around 15 years. Started when they were at the old place by O'Reilly's. They have always been great and the price matches or less than what repair pal would say it costs. If I need a ride, I get a ride. If they get something wrong, they make sure they get it right (I had to replace an under carriage panel that is difficult to find with Audi). Finding a mechanic is easy. There are plenty of them around. But finding a good auto mechanic, ASE-certified master technician that comes with a really good reputation? Well, that is a little harder to locate. I purchased a truck that I knew needed some major work. It was a great deal and I'm good with that. Being new to Greeley, I asked around if anyone knew of a good auto repair shop. Hands down, The Wrench was the first choice by everyone. Seriously, I mean everyone. So I drank the Kook-Aid and dropped in to schedule a service time for my truck repair. I mentioned the clutch was going out and a rebuilt transmission was more than likely needed. Not being too familiar with transmission work, I was a little nervous and I'm sure it showed on my face. James and Matt up front were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. This set my mind at ease for the time being. After they took a look, I was pleased to find a complete transmission rebuild was not needed. James took me downstairs and with the transmission taken apart, walked me through what was needed and also gave me my options. Replacing the clutch and top plate were recommended and that's what I went with. They completed the work on time and the truck runs solid. It's not every day you find a team of auto mechanics that are honest and proud of their work. This is exactly why they guarantee it. Since then, The Wrench is my first and only choice for any auto repair. I recommend them to everyone I know, and even people I overhear talking about car issues. A whole lot has happened in the weeks since my first review and if it wasn't for The Wrench's owner, Darren, getting involved, my update would be even more disappointed and angry than my first review. On March 1, Mick, who is the manager over there, CALLED MY DAD (who, because of an employee who no longer works there for Reasons, was in their system OUR car's owner even though we'd asked several times for it to be fixed; my dad is a Wrench customer and referred us there in November) to complain about my initial review. He also tried to get my dad to pressure me to edit the review or take it down. Our whole experience with Mick was nothing but one moral/legal mess after another, ending in him telling my spouse that he refused to give us a loaner car unless I took down my review. His reaction to my review prompted us to seek legal advice about what they can/can't expect us to change because we were afraid he was going to continue to deteriorate communication and relations and we might have to seek legal action. Working with Mick was a complete nightmare and I am very reserved about returning if he'll be involved in the process at all. And that's where I would've left my review update if Darren hadn't gotten involved. However, on Friday (March 17th), Darren saw my review and apparently had no idea any of this was happening. He called my spouse, apologized for how long it was taking, and got us a loaner car that day - he even had someone come pick my spouse up to get to the shop in order to get the loaner. Darren had someone come in over the weekend, when they're usually closed, because he felt it had taken too long and didn't like how we'd been treated and how unhappy we were. He said he wanted to sit down and discuss our side of matters and find out what could be done to make our experience better. He texted on Sunday to let us know our car was ready but we'd had an exhausting weekend and responded we'd pick it up yesterday (which we did). Darren also made sure the information about ownership of our car was correct in their records. Car runs great. Better than it did before when we initially got it back at the end of November/early December. And my spouse met with Darren today (March 21st) to discuss how we were treated. Darren apologized all over himself and has offered some things (such as a couple oil changes or some such on the house) to help us feel better. I would recommend The Wrench if you can deal with Darren or Matt. I'd avoid if you're dealing with Mick. read more

My husband and II have used The Wrench for many years and we refer all our friends, family and co-workers there, especially women. I have had auto shops try to take advantage of me because I am a female and they think I do not know about autos, they are wrong. Thankfully I found The Wrench. Disappointment thy name is The Wrench.. Terrible customer service , short on info relative to mechanical issues with my car. Took my car in for part replacement, with just one issue, they replaced the part, but now I have another problem showing up on the diagnostics which did not show up on the first diagnostics. More money, and more of my time. Did they accidentally mess up my Fuel Rail Sensor while fixing the original issue which was the TPS? The original diagnostic showed the TPS code only, but after they fixed the TPS, this other code showed up on the diagnostic, which I had done the day after the TPS was fixed, because the "check engine light," came back on. I now have to spend more money to fix this other issue, I don't understand why they didn't tell me since it showed up on their work sheet which they gave me at time of payment for their services. I later read the comments and it showed that they had cleared the codes, including the Fuel Rail Sensor code. Hmmm..., now they want me to bring the car back, for what? I didn't have the Fuel Rail Sensor problem prior to their fixing my TPS, so should I trust them? Stay Away! read more

Took my truck in to get fixed, they broke parts in the process and truck is no longer driveable. Owner takes no responsibility. Charged $550 and told me to sign a liability form. Red flag... Owner came out, dumped trash in my hood right in front of me and walked off. read more

While getting an oil change I had an issue, and the owner Darren went above and beyond to make sure I left with a positive experience. I have to say that after several years now that I am so glad that I took the advice from a friend to go to the wrench for my auto repair needs. Yes, I am like anyone else, hating to need to spend hard earned money on car repairs but must say that when the time comes where car repairs are needed, at least I feel that with the Wrench, I am getting an honest appraisal of needed repairs and getting the most for my money spent. Mick and Matt take the time to explain things to you and answer questions the best they can. I have also talked to mechanics in their shop and they are the same way. Helping me to understand better what the issue is or was. Much appreciated! When the check engine light comes on, and throws a code, I learned that it is not necessarily pointing to one specific component as the problem but identifies an entire system such as (emissions) for example, where there can be numerous points of possible causes for throwing the code. That's where the the Wrench go to work to isolate the faulty part. They know their business! HEADS UP: When they ask, "say, Mr. or Mrs. customer, can you try and make the sound for us that best describes the sound your car is making? So you start in with your best imitations of that sound, then you notice that there are several mechanics, some office staff as well , Matt and Mick, standing around listening to your odd noises and watching contorted facial expressions, doing their best to keep a straight face, acting like they are really seriously listening , then they start grinning, you realize, you have just been played at your expense to be sure.
