Steve's delivered quality and professional repairs on many cars for my parents and our family over the years. I would wager our family has spent tens of thousands of dollars over the decades at Steve's. As of today, we are all done and want to warn others. My nephew was overcharged and had mystery charges that Jeff, the new "general manager" refused to clarify. Jeff is rude, unprofessional in demeanor and presentation, and not at all general manager material. He is the stereotypical dishonest mechanic. I suspect he's strong arming Charles in a bid to either tank or take over the business. A small mechanic shop does not need a "general manager." All it takes is one bad apple to ruin a business, and that bad apple is, without a doubt, Jeff. Buyer beware. Jeff does not give a toss about this staple Longmont business, nor its customers. This general manager only cares about lining his pocket by hook or crook. There are some veteran owned mechanic shops in town. I will be encouraging my parents and our family to seek those businesses out. I wish Charles the best, but until he gets rid of Jeff Steve's is cooked.

Bill Meining informed me they would clean the grease off and that I could come back to get it. About a week later I returned to Meining to retrieve the skid plate and the tech had put it out to dry by the scrap pile. The scrap guy came by and hauled it off. To this day I have not received a single phone call, text message, or email from Bill Meining or anyone else associated with Meining about this issue. I have personally visited the shop a half a dozen times to request an update on the status. Always being told that they are working on it and will contact me when they have the part. LIES! Meining Automotive lost a part to my vehicle and has made zero attempts to make it right. At this point I would consider a cash payment if the part is really that difficult to locate. But given the utter and complete radio silence, it has become impossible to reach a resolution with them. Avoid this place, they do NOT do right by their customers. You are a simply a number, not a relationship, and completely expendable to them.

They do all my adjustments for my daily driver as well as my SCCA Solo F-Prepared MINI Cooper S. All the guys there know who I am and don't treat me different because I am a woman; most of them know me by first name on the phone, what cars I own, etc. The owner has some of the best mechanics around and is always there to help, give advice and feedback, guide us in the right direction, troubleshoot, etc. It is great to see other people who are passionate about motorsports and racing. The fact I trust these guys with my car means I would easily trust them with my life. The owner once told me he took over this place because he couldn't trust a garage and decided the best way to remedy that was to run his own. You can't argue with that! For racers (SCCA Time Trials, Time Attack, Club Racing, Solo) they offer every service possible: Corner balancing, full race support, performance parts and installation, advice, troubleshooting, ECU upgrades, and they also rent race cars as well as offer driver services. For the everyday driver they offer basic services like fluid changes, tire mount and balance, mechanical work, etc. These guys have never lied to me or steered me astray or stretched the truth to make a sale. Their shop prices for parts and labor are very reasonable and they don't round their time up or attempt things they don't know how to do (which I haven't found yet).
