I got the grilled cheese and unfortunately it was very bland. My man got the BLT with fried zucchini. He said it was ok. The zucchini were long sticks. They were ok. But our friends had a chicken sandwich and get this - a chili pastrami burrito, wet! It was amazing! It had all that inside and was covered in red sauce and cheese! OMG! In the area for work and trying to find a place to eat I came across this place right off the highway. Ordered the double cheeseburger with only cheese and onion. They sautéed the purple onion to perfection and the burger patties were seasoned nice and cooked perfectly and super juicy with every bite. They didn't skimp out on the buns and went with the sesame seed bun which every burger should come with. Service through drive through was exactly what you expect and super efficient. Fries were actually cooked like fries should be with that thick country cold ranch dressing that will keep you coming back for more. On our way back home from Trona we stopped by this diner. If you're looking for a breakfast spot with large plates this is it. I am a big breakfast fan and I typically can devour my plate but I left so full and didn't finish my plate. Definitely recommend to share if you're not a big eater...and the prices are amazing! Very Very tasty food! Everyone in our party was please with the taste of the food. We've passed by several times and decided to give this place a chance. GLAD we did. Between the Workz Best, Patty Melt, wings, and tacos everyone enjoyed their meals. The burgers were absolutely delicious. I've always pass this place going to/from Mammoth and decided to stop here on the way back. There's not a lot of parking and there's also Tesla charging stations in the back. So it's a great place to charge up. The restrooms are located outside and you need a code to be able to get in. It was clean and not stinky when I went. We ordered the Worz burger and a carne asada burrito. Food probably took a good 10 minutes. My burger was overcooked and a little on the dry side. The bacon was probably cooked in the morning as it no longer was crispy. Not a great burger, but not a bad burger. Just meh. The onion rings were pretty good though. I like the batter and it comes with 2 ranch dressing. That pretty much saved my meal. The carne asada burrito wasn't great either. It did not have the traditional asada taste when I eat a burrito. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, just not what I was hoping for. It was a pretty big burrito though. Would I come back here, depends on the situation. Despite how good looking the food was, it was rather flavorless. I ordered the Jr Bacon Cheeseburger $10 Super Box Deal as advertised on the outside of the restaurant for myself. The french fries were awesome, no improvements needed there. Perfectly salted and were really yummy on their own or with the ranch that the meal came with. Now the burger is where it all started to go wrong. It was bland. The beef patty tasted real though so for meat lovers, I guess that's a plus. For me, I was not impressed. There was an onion ring in it but I couldn't taste it or sense its texture. I thought there'd be at least some lettuce in it based on the picture advertising it outside but there was not a hint of any veggie in sight. For being called a bacon cheeseburger, there definitely was not enough bacon. I didn't get any bacon until the very last two bites. The strip was small and pushed to the very back of the sandwich for some reason. It was the same case in my brother's burger. The bacon was salty and flavorful. It was the only part of the burger that had any savory nice enjoyable flavor. Otherwise, I had to dip the burger in the ranch or free ketchup they had to get any flavor. There was some kind of red sauce which I assume was bbq sauce in it but there wasn't enough to actually taste it. The last part of my meal was the chicken strips which I saved for last because I was looking forward to them but they were just as underwhelming as the burger. The chicken was dry and tough, very overcooked. The batter on the outside had some flavor to it but was very greasy and for some reason, it flaked off the chicken very easily. It wasn't bad for what I paid. The entire deal felt like something I'd get for a school lunch. I'd reckon that a school lunch might even have more flavor in its variety. The carne asada quesadilla was what you'd expect from it. Most of the flavor came from the cheese and it was a tad bit too salty but bearable. The carne asada had no flavor to it. My sister split it with her friend and they couldn't even finish the whole plate. It also came with a green salsa which was a little bland but had a nice tang to it. The mexican rice was pretty good but there were some stale hard bits in it that made my teeth hurt to chew. The beans were typical beans with a bit of melted cheese on it. The carne asada taco plate also had the same rice, beans and salsa but had three tacos instead of a quesadilla. My parents said it needed lime or some sort of additional sourness to make it more enjoyable. The workz best burger was alright. It was also kind of bland but it had vegetables which was a plus. Supposedly, it has thousand islands dressing in it but I couldn't taste it. The double patty was a little overkill in terms of meat. It didn't taste like it was worth finishing but we finished it. The food ordering worked like a fast food place where you place your order at the register and then pick up your food on your own and bring it to your table. The cashier's service wasn't anything really special. He just put in our order, took our payment and we were on our way; no small talk or anything. I showed him a picture of what I wanted since the super box $10 deal didn't seem to be on the menu and he input the right thing so that was nice. I wasn't entirely sure if he got what I was saying while ordering but he got the order right so I have no complaints. When we came to pick up our food, it was just as fast paced as an InNOut. Although, they didn't really even look at us or confirm that our receipt matched the order. My dad asked for a fork and got it right away though so even if they're not looking at you, they are attentive. On the downside, the utensils were all plastic. On the upside, all the plates were reusable, being made of hard plastic or metal. We had to clean up our tables on our own, bringing the dishes to a bin above the trash can. It felt especially nasty to look at the trash cans but I kept it out of sight and out of mind. The exterior was nice. It was clean. Once I got in, it didn't feel dirty or anything, especially considering it was just in a small town we stopped in on our way to Mammoth. There was plenty of seating and a plentiful amount of booth seating too which is my favorite kind of seating. There were two restrooms outside that required a simple four number code from the cashier to get into but if others are using it, you could always just catch the door. I was afraid it'd be smelly but it was actually quite clean, not beautiful smelling but more of a neutral scent. There was soap and paper towels too. Even the toilet looked nice. No graffiti or a ton of engravings. Towards the end of our dining experience, the sun started to shine really brightly through the windows and was cooking us in the booth table that we sat in. I just wanna say that the food was great and everything, and I always pass through here every now and then, and I've always got great customer service, but there was just something about this morning that was kind of off, and when I looked over, I noticed it was a younger female. She seemed to be new at the cash register, and I figured, you know, she probably just got hired, they're training her, because I saw a gentleman next to her, and he seemed to be like he was the manager and he was in charge. And He just seemed to, just looking from the outside in, as a business owner, I know that his employees would work well and they would be trained well if he wasn't on their back and always moving around so fast and realizing that, you know, you got to make sure that you're on a level with your employees, especially your new ones when you're training them, because if you're doing something that's making them uncomfortable or nervous because you're moving so fast, expecting them to know like you or even stepping in and doing their job for them, like counting the change for the customers, you know, right in front of the customers, making them feel like they're stupid. I mean, just imagine what's going through that person's mind when they're really trying to learn their job and they feel retarded because their manager's over there counting the change for the customer and like stepping in to do your job for you. I feel like if whoever that man was, he had to have been a trainer of some sort, a manager or something, would just step back and realize, like, how he would feel if somebody was up on him like that, how, just put himself in their shoes and treat people how you would want to be treated, how you were trained. I mean, even if you were trained poorly, I mean, you would think you would want to do better, so that way, you know, your employees do a great job, because if they're feeling under pressure, then that means there's gonna be some stuff going on inside the workplace, because now they feel some type of way because the manager made them feel uncomfortable, you know? So just being an owner looking from the outside in, um, that's my opinion and that was my experience today, and I felt sorry for the woman. The thick chicken strips were cut from breast meat with a nice breading, though the meat was a bit tough. My guest had the BLT and reported it as being very good, toasted but not overly so.
