When asked if it could be removed (I was willing to dispose of it) customer service on the website refused, acting as if it was some sort of environmental threat to leave the windshield in my possession, its just glass. If the fee is mandatory it needs to be included in the quote for service.

This happened on Saturday, and I was told the warranty department was closed until Monday. That meant I had to go two days without being able to safely drive my car. When I called on Monday, the representative explained that the warranty is "lifetime" as long as you own the car and that it covers things like rain damage, faulty glass, and installation errors, etc. Based on that conversation, it sounded like the issue would likely be covered. However, they couldn't send someone out until Tuesday leaving me without my car for four days. When the technicians finally came out on Tuesday, they took photos and said their manager would review everything and call me back. I was still left with a vehicle I couldn't safely drive. A few hours later the manager called and claimed the issue was caused by "external damage," even though no external damage occurred. As a mom with kids who need to get to school and activities, being left without a safe vehicle for days was extremely stressful and inconvenient. I used to highly recommend Safelite to my friends and family, but after this experience I absolutely will not be doing that anymore. Being left without a drivable vehicle for days and then having a legitimate issue dismissed like this is extremely frustrating. Extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled.

Sad, they've all had to seek jobs elsewhere, because of the dumb owner, was greedy, spend spends spends, and owed a lot to a lot, because he doesn't pay his bills, or employees right either. The ultra touch has been like a historic car wash, the former owner, had sold it. The newest owner ruined it, the employees would do everything they could to get it up and running great again, and it seemed like the newer owner was on purposely sobitashing it. Maybe because the Jacksons, or the Walmart ,next to it didn't like the competition, so they had someone pretend to buy it, to ruin it, now a great carwash, gas station, detailed shop, store inside is abandoned after owner, ruined it, failed to pay bills on it, bankrupt and ran to hide. Hopefully some much better owners can go buy it, and save it again. It's too great of a historic carwash to be abandoned like this. Both of my sons had worked there from the former owner since highschool and again when the newer owner took over it, reopened it. It was going excellent for a couple years then because of this newer owner got greedy failed to pay bills, the employees had a difficult time getting their paychecks cashed, because checks bounced. The main gal hired to be the supervisor, even had a difficult time getting the main newer owner pay the bills, she and all the employees did everything they could to keep the carwash wash going but still the greedy newer owner spent money, not pay bills, and now the wonderful historic carwash again abandoned closed, left empty again. Think the Jackson's, Chevron, AM whatever are the same, and again seems to be them who some how helped it become closed. Can't be at the competition but it ruin it.
