I am honestly appalled by the way I was treated today. I received a call saying I had missed my appointment, even though I had tried multiple times through both text messages and phone calls to cancel it beforehand. The very first thing said to me when I answered was, "You missed your appointment," in an incredibly rude and condescending tone. I wasn't even given the opportunity to explain the situation before being interrupted and argued with. What makes this even more frustrating is that if the receptionist had simply been kind and professionally explained the cancellation policy, or stated that they had not received any indication that I was canceling, I would have completely understood and comfortably obliged. I am not someone who argues policies -- I understand that when you sign up for something, you agree to those terms. However, it was the rude, disgusting, "mean girl" tone from the very beginning that completely set the narrative for the entire conversation. The behavior and attitude I experienced were unbelievably unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile toward someone who was once a prospective client. I will also be attaching screenshots showing my attempts to cancel the appointment through text, along with the multiple phone calls I made beforehand. I went into work the next day and my coworker took a photo of how crooked my hair, when I called the salon to ask for someone new to fix it, I was told she was the only one that could do it otherwise I'd be charged. I have been seeing Katie haggard for years from when she first got licensed and had worked for other salons and she has always been the best color specialist I've ever worked with and the only one I have ever preffered, she is super good with conversations, accommodates anything you need, she can do absolutely any color, style, hair type ever made! She books far out but it's sooo worth it, I've also had color done by other stylists there when needed short notice and even they do it perfectly and focused. I would be very careful going here with your extension. Maddie was recommended to me by my color girl who works there. So I took her word and messaged her on instagram to schedule an appointment and ask to drop my extensions off early. I dropped them off 3 weeks prior to have them dyed and washed to not only make my appointment shorter but make sure they were colored properly. A couple days before my appointment Maddie messages me asking if I could come in early, which of course I can. When I arrived my hair was not dyed nor washed! (I should've known then) she begins to put them in and creates huge bundles causes bumps in my head, so they are super noticeable. Then she hands me off to my girl to dye (nothing against her dye) and says she will blend when I am done. Well she then leaves and is no where to be found once I need the blend. She expected me to walk around with them totally noticeable for days. Thank god I didn't have her blend them though because when I got home they were put in so wrong that beads where not attached and to much hair was in so many different places.. The kicker to this story is when I sent pictures and called I have been ignored by management. They aren't taking accountability for their employees and their work. I had my shoulder-length hair cut by Lauren Meister at the Wild Hare yesterday. I showed her two pictures of what I wanted and a third one for the cut I plan to grow it into. She argued with me about what I wanted and even brought the stylist next to us in on the conversation. She then proceeded to give me the worst haircut of my life. My hair is super fine and I do not have much of it. Then she takes thinning shears all over it. The result is now I have super short spots on both sides of my forehead, and the hair in the crown is too short to cover a thin spot. I asked to leave my ears covered, now I have spots behind both ears where there is no hair leaving my ears sticking out. My hair is too short to have it recut. Whatever you do - do not let this child cut your hair. She doesn't listen and does not have a clue what she is doing. She stops in the middle of drying the hair to cut more off! I'm so angry that I'm shaking. REPEAT - Do not let Lauren Meister touch your hair!!! read more

The first thing I noticed from her, she was on time. Second thing I noticed she asked what I wanted but, she sat next to me to go over my options. My hair is long, very fine and curly. If you like a small, boutique salon, you'll love The Wild Hare Salon. It's in a cute little house located in Loveland/Montgomery area (Why do I always to go salons so far from where I live!?). There are several reasons why I love it: Everyone at the salon is great! They are very friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. They use a lot of organic and other natural products. They are one of the few (only?) salons in Cincinnati that carry the Intelligent Nutrients line of USDA Organic skin care and they also have Butter London nail products which are "3 free" meaning they don't have all of the worst chemicals. They also have "Fake Bake" spray tan for an exceptional price! Whatever is in it works naturally with your skin so the color looks natural... not orange. Plus, it's sprayed by hand so you never have that whole Ross-on-Friends experience! Tracy does all the skin and nails and she is fabulous! My husband bought me a Mother's Day Package from Wild Hare Salon ( My first Mother's Day ) that consisted of a 30 minute facial, spa manicure, spa pedicure, and an eye brow wax. This was going to be my first experience with this salon so when I research there website I was expecting to be going to a luxurious spa. I'm afraid that was far from the case. Prior to my appointment I received an email reminding me of my appointment and asked that I arrive at least 5 minutes early. I arrived 15 minutes early to be on the safe side. My appointment was suppose to be at 2 pm. They did not take me back until 2:30 pm to start. At the beginning of my 30 minute wait I was asked if I would like something to drink. I asked for water. What I received was room temperature tap water and was then left in the front waiting area by myself until I was called back. The eyebrow wax was okay. It could have been better. As far as the facial goes it was great. But then again this was my first one so I have nothing to compare it to. One of my major complaints about this salon is the fact that all of there towels are stained up. I'm sure it's from hair dye but it's not something I want used as warm towels for my face and such. The girl who did my " spa manicure and spa pedicure" was very nice but could use more training. Hence my quotations ^. She did not give me the spa manicure or pedicure. What I received was just the basic manicure & pedicure. I think she was in a rush to leave. Needless to say I will not be returning. They were over priced for the service I received. I wanted to give the owner, Holly, the chance to make this right with me and she had the independant hair stylist call me directly. Melissa was very rude on the phone and let me know that she is very busy and that she is worth 43.% more than the other colorists in the Cincinnati market. I wish I would have known that before; what I thought would be a 50$ visit turned into an 85$ visit not to mention the 10$ tip that I gave Melissa . I wanted to tell you how amazing Tori is. I called her Saturday morning asking if there was someone there that could do a Brazilian Blowout on me and my daughter that day! Crazy I know but we are leaving for vacation and didn't have much time. Well she completely accommodated us. She only had one opening left and stayed later to do both of us! Not only did she stay for us, she was so polite and friendly and down to earth. She made us feel completely comfortable in this "so dang cute" salon! I was looking for a reasonably priced haircut in short notice. Katie was able to get me in quickly. Everyone was pleasant, and the salon is lovely. Unfortunately, my haircut was not the greatest (I've had better at Great Clips.) I went from long to a shoulder length bob. She added no layers which made my fine hair look sharp and poorly cut at the ends. I asked her to add layers, andbshe thinned my already very thin hair everywhere but the ends. I suppose maybe she's just not very experienced with thin hair? Of course, it looked cute after she curled it, but I won't do that at home. Why do hairstylists never believe you when you say you want a low maintenance haircut? I guess I've learned my lesson and I really do have to spend $50 to get my hair cut. I guess that's what I will be doing to find someone to fix it. Perhaps you would have better luck with a different stylist or a different hair type. read more
