My imitation of the shark
BabaBooey C.

This was so bad I didn't even take pictures. The only reason I give this place stars at all is because of the service. Food was terrible, I would even say inedible. I got some chicken and fries, Monterey Jack chicken on the menu, and it was dry, tough, burnt cheese. My friend got the oiliest quesadilla on this side of the Atlantic Ocean, looked like a god damn oil spill Ambience was questionable... the fish on the walls being removed from their natural habitat and forced to watch this monstrosity of a restaurant run directly below this big shark that was staring right at my table like a security camera the whole time violates my constitutional rights The service though... pretty good. The waitress was a very nice lady checking on us frequently and making sure that everything was smooth. Nothing bad for her, I just feel bad that she has to work with these fish on the walls and that she has to hear the food complaints. The kitchen would be better off serving the fake fish off the wall. This is real.

Great pie. Sauce has a little kick, nothing spicy, but enough to differentiate it and make it stand out. Good sauce. Good cheese. Decent value. Friendly people.

Food was pretty good. Price point ok. A ceiling tile fell on a waitress when we were leaving though. That wasn't ideal.

Do not waste your time. Terrible food with even worse service. The food tasted old. Very disappointed.

This time I asked for it well done and I got pepperoni and mushrooms on it. I showed up early, the place is super cute inside. A small amount of tables in the front, some are right in the window, perfect for people watching in the summertime. As I waited, the servers were updating me every few minutes to let me know the status of the pizza. I was early, so I appreciate that they were letting me know even though I wasn't supposed to be there yet. I just like to take my pizza as soon as it's ready! As soon as it was cut, they placed it in my hands to take away. You didn't often see good takeout service at a sit down place so that was really nice When I got back to my grandmother's, we dug in. The crust was nice and crispy but not too crunchy where it hurts your teeth. The sauce was great, kind of jammy but not too sweet. My grandmother loved it, she couldn't stop saying how much she liked it. She said the best pizza in Bristol, in her opinion! So that automatically gets a 10/10 in my book. Needless to say, we will be back soon enough to have more Leo's pizza, once she finishes the leftovers!

Soaring through the…read morestreets of Warren and Swansea, flanked by woods and water, were just the beginning of a magical experience. Then came the destination: at first, I doubted myself because I thought I was just looking at a bakery. When I pulled into the parking lot and opened the front door, I finally began to understand what "hole-in-the-wall" truly meant. Not only was the family ownership and honest-to-goodness service in place the minute I entered, but the sampling of lightly-seasoned bread with olive oil was the definitive way to begin dinner. When I came here last weekend with my stepbrother and his gf, I had finished a workout earlier that day, so the idea of a chicken parm dished mixed with bolognese sauce sounded killer; all of us had ordered that exact dish! Boy, was my hunch trustworthy. A comforting mix of seasonings, a breading with a well-done crispness around the edges, and a quality of meat that felt wholesome without being overbearing were the elements that comprised a hearty serving of cheese-stuffed ravioli. The following Saturday, my mother and stepfather were more than happy to reserve seating (when you're a small restaurant with a penchant for legendary cooking, even the weekdays are bound to be packed). While my mother gorged on a plain chicken parm and my old man was enthused with his seafood platter, I dove into creamy pink vodka sauce and smoky sweet Italian sausage. The bacon-y flavor of the sausage complemented the sharp cheesiness of the broth, culminating in a spectacle of flavors that never stopped short of excellence. While the Nutella-filled egg dessert I had on the first day was nice, I was told that most of the offerings provided in the bakery were crafted by a Boston-based confectioner. What was homemade, however, was a fruity pie carefully designed and baked by the proprietor's wife. The crostata, as it was called, tasted just as scrumptious as the description of apples and raspberries and gooey gelato that I had been provided. One of the reasons I support small is because there's no conglomerate overreach to corrupt the flavors a competitive small-town scene can offer, which Spaghetti Lane perfectly embodied. When Mike the founder had been so uplifted by vocal enthusiasm for his business, he was generous to provide me with a Spaghetti Lane-branded shirt. I told him he truly did not have to offer such a generous gift, but I thanked him nonetheless afterward. I must also point out the ambience of the restaurant. The place was comprised of two dining rooms: one of which leaned into the elegance of Italian spirits stacked neatly on shelves and the hypersonic drift of Italo Disco filling the air, the other was a contemporary-style cafe setting with a dessert cashier and a giant cabinet lined with cannoli, cheesecake, and whoopie pies. For some reason, my soul lit up when I heard the Umberto Tozzi version of "Gloria" as I was chomping on my penne. Now that's a vibe. That's my TED Talk. Thank you, everyone!

Rest in Peace Parella's. First indicator as a near empty parking lot on a Friday night…read more Reservations ? Our friends got there before we did and they were sandwiched into a corner. Mind you the place was near empty except to some people at the bar that we walked by and maybe two tables in the dining room. Our making it three. Our host - waitress and floor show for the night rode in on her broom as we dining area to a gruff - they're over then. Up against a wall and jammed into a corner. We had to move. So we slide over one table took our waters and menus and moved one table over - like I said our floor show took it as a personal affront and you'd think we committed a capital offense. What do you want to drink ? Do you have a drink menu ? Eyes rolling - 4 drinks two glasses of wine and two beers. Didn't seem too complicated. She went to the bad came back and spread the drinks - first put the glass of wine in front of me and then the whoops - I forgot your beer. Ok it happens. So what do you think of the chicken or veal parm ? You can get that anywhere. Can we get some bread please. Harumph. She goes and comes back with bread that's been in the refrigerator. This is an Italian restaurant. That's sacrilege. We go back and forth - what do you think - only thing she would recommend was the veal and peas. Ok - I like veal and peas. What kind of pasta comes with it ? bucatini, papidelle , ziti, spaghetti or whatever other pasta she chipped about. She said - 'I'd go with the bucatini " then ok let's go with the bucatini. She takes our order my wife asks if the kitchen can just make her a dish of pasta olio - mushrooms and olives. Sure we can. My friend is a salad guy and he ordered a house side salad. We're waiting and waiting and the food comes out. She forgot the salad. Of course she did she didn't write anything down when she took our order and then she turned into a magician and poof disappeared.. She had to spend 20 minutes at one of the other two tables having a great old time for herself with the husband and wife that were driving a marked town car. Good for them. The kisses and hugs - take out bags. They go and still no checking in with us. So screw the salad. Screw another round. And basically screw you until and get this - the bill comes - we split everything down the middle have been going out on Friday nights with this same couple, for 20 years.my friend says we all got up charged for the pasta ? What ? Ya for the bucatini $2.50 each - $10 bucks for pasta ? What else would it have come with ? It said pasta ! She said try the bucatini !! So a deeper dive and we got charge $11 for a $9 menus price wine. And now the big finale - Can we ask a question ? Sure - we think the wines off on the charge and there's an up charge for Pasta ?? Her - Listen - I don't work at Olive Garden and I don't bring up any up charges. I don't want to insult you. Wicked nasty and way out of line and she keeps going. She gets back on her broom - goes and comes back it's a corrected bill on just the wine. The pasta is still on the bill. It's freaking pasta what difference does it make that you wouldn't have said something ? Anything. We bring it up again.. I'll just eat it. It will come out of my pay. Do what you want. How dare you talk to us like that. No wonder the place is empty. An East Bay institution driven into the rocks by this awful person. We paid the bill still left her 15% - god knows why and said NEVER AGAIN. Good luck and good night. Don't forget to turn out the lights when you're going out the door.

The woman at pickup said it would be out shortly. There were other people waiting at the time. After 45 min of waiting for my pickup, I asked how much longer... and it looks like online orders hadn't been fired. Twenty minutes later, I finally got my pizza only for it to not be the correct order (no Detroit style). The woman took my name and said they would reach out to me to "make it right" but no one ever did, which is why I waited a week to review. I was really excited for the pizza, the New York style was good but that pie was for my fiancée. We ended up with two New York styles and I was so hungry I ended up eating it. If all went well with my experience, I would give a 4.5 because the pizza was pretty good and reheated well the next day. But the lack of communication and over an hour wait past the original pickup time for an online order is crazy. It seems people that called their order in had less of a wait, so I would recommend doing that.
