When I went on The Laundry Spot's website I saw that they offered this service so figured I'd give them a try. I had a few questions so I called the number listed on the home page of the website, and the woman who answered referred me to another number for the pick up and delivery service which turned out is also listed if you click on the "delivery" link. I got an answering service and left my contact info and within minutes, James the owner called back and answered my questions and walked me through the process of setting up an account so that I could do the online scheduling myself. There were 3 convenient windows of times to select from for both pick up and delivery so I scheduled pick up between 8am-11am on Tuesday and delivery during that same timeframe the next day. I got a text a minute or so prior to them arriving both times and they were both within the scheduled timeframes. Since the home was unoccupied those days, I was able to text them the temporary door code I set up remotely and allow them to pick up and drop off inside in the entry way. The laundry consisted of two full sets of bedding, several towels dish towels, etc. All came back perfectly clean and nicely folded. Online I was able to select the type of soap (or even provide my own if desired), optional softeners, and add any specific instructions such as cold water, gentle cycle etc. I am so thrilled to have found this service! Since I'm a big fan of USEFUL technology, I'm very happy that I can do all of the scheduling from my smart phone, including paying the invoice. I was initially apprehensive about providing my credit card info and wanted to be sure the info was encrypted and secure. The owner, James, patiently explained to me that he's partnered with a few different technology platforms in order to make it possible to do all of this online, so it's all very secure and tested. One thing to note: because of the way the various platforms are linked, you see different URLs when you schedule versus looking at your account versus payment, but after it's set up it's a piece of cake. And best of all, the laundry comes back beautifully clean and nicely folded without me having to do a thing (I have back problems) so this is a wonderful solution for me. And the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend trying this laundry service and supporting a great local Austin business!

But, in those two trips I thought why in the world would I wash clothes any other way now? With a huge king blanket, sheets, lots of clothes and towels each week it takes about 2 to 2.5 hours there of washing, drying and folding as opposed to....,probably 8 to 9 hours of being stuck at home over the weekend waiting on the one washer and dryer to finish. Not only that, but most of the time we're in a drought situation and with a well, we have to be more conservative with water use. It has now been over two years that I've been going there. Depending on which day I'm there I can always count on seeing the same really sweet and helpful people. It's easy to go in, load the card given to you with $ and start washing. Love the oversized washers and dryers available too.

I dropped off 1 load on Tuesday and was told it would be ready on Wednesday. I left 2 voicemails Wednesday and didn't hear back from anyone. Went back in person on Thursday, 12/14/23 and the inside office was locked. I called the different number that's listed on the inside office window and spoke to Brenda with Cozi Vacation Rentals. She was unable to resolve the issue immediately, and took my info to call me back once she knew what time someone could meet me there to unlock the office. I went to lunch and after an hour, hadn't heard back from anyone. I went back to see if the office was open and it was still locked, I asked one of the people doing laundry inside if anyone worked there, her response was, "No, but maybe they'll be here tomorrow." I turned around to leave and someone else flagged me down and was able to unlock the office. My laundry basket was there, clothes still dirty. We are RVing from out of town and I'm soaking my clothes in the kitchen sink as I type this. I've done drop-off service before in different cities and did not have this issue before. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement.
