Awesome local tavern with great south shore style bar pizza. Has the typical Irish pub style menu, decent bar size and with tables around it. Great place to watch a game or just hang out. Place gets busy but they have a ton of staff and get the orders out quick. We had the bar pizza's, nachos and wings. All of it was delicious!! Can't wait to get back.

Came here while on vacation and I was very happy. Waitress was nice, just didn't check in on us much. But the food was outstanding. Best spinach and artichoke dip I've ever had! Would go back to this restaurant if I'm in the area again!

My omelette was dry and disappointing as it was over cooked. Wait staff were accommodating.

I had one of my favs.. ahi tuna minus the seaweed and 2 extra crispy wontons. He had his fav steak tips .. medium and he changed the mashed to French fries because they make some of the best fries around! We sat at the bar and Barbara was on and she took good care of us. She is seasoned in the restaurant business and always does a great job! All in all it was wonderful as it always is. I so hope I sway people to go and enjoy this fabulous restaurant.. especially now that the weather is getting better and one can sit on the deck with the big beautiful ocean right in front of you!

I visited the Fairview yesterday with my girlfriend. It was my first time, but she had been there…read moremany times in the eight years she's lived nearby. When we entered, she introduced me to the young woman who greeted us and another woman, a waitress, who was standing beside her. My girlfriend introduced this waitress by telling us "she called me the n-word to my face". I was surprised and did not know how to react. This woman responded with "that was a joke". No apology, but an acknowledgement that she did actually say it. There is no context in which it is ok for her to use that word. There is no situation in which it is ok for her to say that to a woman of color DINING AND SPENDING MONEY IN YOUR RESTAURANT. There are many ways that a person can address the fact that they've said bad things in the past. "That was a joke"is not one of them. It's certainly not how it should be handled at work. There was no dispute that she said it. "You are a n*****." When called out, she said it was a joke. She did not say "I'm so sorry, I still feel awful", or "I'm so sorry I upset you", or even "I would never say that". Instead, she defended herself and her words by claiming it was a joke. It's not a joke and it never was. By saying that, she was letting me know that, while at work, there ARE acceptable uses for the n word. There are not. Do I need to say that I don't want to eat at a place where I might hear racial slurs? The waitress did not deny that she said it and she did not apologize. She defended herself and justified it. Saying it is disgusting and justifying it is disgusting. I have no suggestion for how to resolve this. Your waitress could have simply acknowledged that it is always wrong. Instead she chose to blame my girlfriend for taking it personally and not "getting the joke". Please clarify your position on when it is, and is not, ok for your staff to use racial slurs. If you think "it was a joke" makes it ok to look right at someone say "you're a n*****", you are wrong. It is indefensible. Allowing and defending this behavior is disgusting. Please take some action to show you understand.

The first three of us got drinks promptly, but the waitress just left the whole tray sitting on our table saying she'd "be right back"....10 minutes later she came for the tray. she was ready to take our order, but we were still waiting for our 4th, so we asked to wait a few. Our last member (a full time waitress elsewhere herself, nonetheless) arrived and we then waited 29 minutes to order food and her drink. She got that margarita with her food 50 minutes later. It was so bad (think sour mix over ice with a teaspoon of Jose) that she sent it back, receiving a noticeable eye roll for the request. Our waitress never even asked how our food as, I am assuming she probably knew. When she *did* come back to clear and ask if we wanted dessert, I told "I know it's absolutely no fault of yours, but please inform the cook that our 'medium' burgers were really overcooked." She came back telling us she spoke to the owner, yet not even a comped soda (not really surprising). She also proceeded to drop the bill with us, and chatted us up for the FIRST time since we arrived. Yeah, a little too late to make nice considering we barely saw you. The building is nice, but odd. It looks like a country club clubhouse behind a grocery store, with a temporary sign just saying "tavern". In retrospect, we should have just gotten ice cream and sandwiches in the place next door.

I'd like to give it a 2.5...but I can't…read more Food: The food was average at best and a few things were just...off. I ordered the bisque but a bisque I did not get. Bisque: "a smooth, creamy, highly-seasoned soup of French origin, classically based on a strained broth (coulis) of crustaceans"* What I got instead was a a mediocre, barely seasoned chowder. The breadsticks were tepid at best in temperature and felt like day old bread. The bread in the french onion soup had the same odd consistency as well. Our lamb was largely fat and oddly seasoned. Can you tell the theme of the meal overall was, "odd?" I got the lazy man's lobster and it was sitting in a puddle of butter rather than being lightly kissed by it. Atmosphere: Akin to a function hall, the pictures were obviously store bought rather than ones related to the people who own it. This is nowhere near being an Irish joint. Those have plenty of personality. Service: This was the highlight actually. Our bartender and waitress were very attentive and the front desk staff was friendly. With some tweaks to the menu and overall look, this place could be pretty good. *thanks wikiepedia

Winsor is Wonderful!…read more I see that Yelpers do not love Winsor due to the low ratings and reviews but I have to ask why. What I will say is if you read these bad reviews you might be surprised at what people complain about. But, on a more positive note, this will be my 3rd time dining here and everytime has been wonderful (hence my title). The food, ambiance, drinks, etc. you really can't go wrong with any of them. And, the drive there is also stunning. Duxbury as you know is a beautiful beach and golf city with million dollar homes along the way. Cha-Ching! I arrived a little early while I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant was not overly crowded which was good for a Friday evening. We sat right near the fireplace which was super nice. When my friend arrived we started with some drinks. Then we were so torn as to what to order so we started with their Tuna Crudo. My favorite since it was super fresh, melt in your mouth sashimi. Yummy! Then we shared a salad which was just ok. For entrees, she ordered the Linquine Vongole which looked good but a huge portion. I ordered Fluke for the first time and although it wasn't what I am used to, I still enjoyed it. We passed on dessert and had coffee with amaro; they have some nice after dinner drinks. All I have to say is go see for yourself that this gorgeous, south shore spot is perfect for any occassion. Or even if you want to grab a glass of wine/drink and sit at the bar, that sounds good too! Cheers~!

A consistently good experience has been the oysters and starters. Fortunately, it's easy to cross the street and eat at the ICO raw bar or bring some oysters home to shuck. That will continue. Cocktails are usually good. But Winnie entrees have been consistently under seasoned and underwhelming these last visits. On our last visit, one dish was so bad that much was inedible (and even what was consumed was mediocre). Vibes are good, so maybe just come for a drink and apps at the bar.
