It's kind of sad, really, but that is the trend. But they did have the Chanca Piedra I was looking for, since nobody else seems to stock it, and there are times when I need a product now and don't have time to wait for shipping. Prices are not competitive with food and nutrition bars, being about double grocery store prices--SOME bars, not all of them, but Super Supplements also has bigger bars that Safeway or Fred Meyer doesn't have. About $2 to $3 each, or $17 to $30 for a box of 12 bars. Very good selection of Nature's Way and Nature's Bounty lineups, as well as Herb Pharm products and a few, more expensive products along the same lines. Depends on how long you want to wait. Good parking, turning right off of Aurora at 135th, or southbound there as well.

Here's what to know: --The mercantile is an easy walk from Pike Place Market--basically just a few blocks up the hill. --It's beautiful, with exposed brick walls, rambling rooms, and gorgeous displays. --The prices seemed roughly equivalent to what I'm used to paying online, which I really appreciated. --There's a huge selection of spices, teas, herbs, essential oils, gifties, bottles, jars, and other packaging supplies. (If I hadn't been on foot, I would have bought approximately five million jars and bottles.) --Speaking of the packaging supplies: assuming the ones I bought here are the same ones I've been mail-ordering from Mountain Rose for years, they are SO GOOD. Thick amber glass, excellent droppers, nice lids--just noticeably higher quality than most of what you find elsewhere. Highly recommended. --The staff were really helpful and kind, but never hovered while I browsed. Perfect. Can't wait to go back--preferably with a car nearby next time, so I can purchase said 5 million jars.

What a great surprise Super Supplements was when I walked through their doors!…read more I honestly didn't know what to expect from their store. I had driven by it many times and just thought it was a small store with not much inventory, not thinking much about it. However, when my wife needed a hard-to-find supplement straightaway I googled where we could find it in a store, knowing that ordering would take longer through the mail. Super Supplements came up at the top of the search and said it was in stock and I could order/pre-pay online. I did, and went to pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and saw the large store, the many shelves and inventory, and wide variety of selections! They had everything! So impressed! Supplements, foods, beverages, everything! What it reminded me of, was Swanson's back in Fargo (for those of you that know what I'm talking about, Super Supplements is very close to what Swanson's offers ... for those that don't know what I'm talking about, that's a positive comparison to be linked to Swanson's). :-) They had friendly, knowledgeable staff and let me just wonder the isles, looking at what they had without continually asking if I needed help or made me feel like I should hurry up and leave. Highly recommend Supper Supplements and will definitely return!
