I visited this store looking for a specific womens supplement which I have purchase on several occasions from this Salinas Vitamin Shoppe location (for years). I asked for the women's section of supplements, which I didn't see at first and I discovered it had been moved to the furthest back corner of the store . I was shown a tiny 3 foot wide section with only three shelves and with almost no merchandise on them. I asked what had happened to the size and inventory for women's supplements section and why the section had been moved to the back of the store. I was told that this section has always been located there and has always been that size. What a load of b.s.! Not true! Note that the Men's supplement section is at least 3 times larger than the women's and easily seen from the front door. So then I inquired about the product I was specifically there to purchase because I didn't see it in the pathetically small selection of women's products. The guy said "are you sure you bought it here?" I told him that of course I was sure! He then looked up my account and said he didn't see the product on my register of things which I've purchased there over the last 6 month's. I told him it had been longer than 6 months since I last bought the item. I asked when the store would get more of the product I was looking for and he " guessed" probably a couple of weeks and suggested I come back in a couple of weeks. I told this guy the reason I bothered to come to the store was that I wanted to get the item today. I asked if he could please make sure of when it would be back in stock. He looked it up and told me that they wouldn't be getting the item in anymore at all. What the ???! Now, keep in mind that the item I was looking for is a nationally sold and a very popular product, yet Salinas Vitamin Shoppe has decided they aren't going to carry it any longer. The guy helping me said that I could always go to another location, out of town, to get the item. Needless to say I won't be back to this place again! So, all Salinas ladies out there who are looking for a pathetically small selection of women's vitamin products, and a whole lot of condesention and "mansplaining", go here! Once again they process an order and the order is nowhere to be found. Totally u acceptable , zero business ethics. You better off buying anywhere else. I JUST WANT WHAT I PAY FOR IS THAT SO HARD. I have to give this place five stars for a single transaction. I'm not big on returns and honestly I get a little embarrassed, but it is my money and I feel consumers should have the right to return items that do not work out for them. Anyhow, I gathered my courage and returned five items that I purchased over the past 4 months, that were nearly full and did not work out for me. Five items, because I did not know I could return them until I was in the store earlier today and thought to ask. Thankfully I saved the items that did not work out for me! So, I walked back in the store today and I was able to return my items without a problem, they even did a refund for the item I purchased today and allowed me to use the store credit from my previous items. I know I did not like to do returns when I worked in retail, and I would guess the person who helped me today feels the same way... Luckily this lady right here feels deep gratitude and is super appreciative for the return! Thank you tall, male, I think Manager who helped me!! I will definitely share my experience with those who ask and I will highly recommend this store. I will also be back to buy more items!
