Not worth a special trip. Whole Foods will have most of what this shop carries, and you can get the rest of your shopping done at the same time. CONS: 1. No product depth. 2. Poor customer service. 3. Pushy "club" membership. Went to this Vitamin Shoppe specifically for some bougie soap and vitamins. I've been to Vitamin Shoppes in the past for these items, so it should've been a surgical strike. I was 50% successful, with some effort. The layout is different from other Vitamin Shoppes, so even "old pros" need to hunt around. The soap shelf was stripped bare, a clear indication of some poor managerial stock planning. Having labels on the shelf is one thing: managing stock levels is another. The one associate present (a dark-haired woman, Associate #048729) was overwhelmed by three customers in the store at once. She even left the register -- and the floor -- for five minutes at one point. When she returned, she immediately insisted on my phone number for the transaction, without asking if I was actually a member. When I refused, she became even more agitated by the encounter. I'll support a small business whenever I can. But the flip side of that arrangement is that the small business needs to not suck on every level. read more

Typical vitamin and supplement shop. Found certain items I needed out of stock and had been out of stock for a while. Also, when one calls the business, seems the number is always busy. But I can report they are open and still in operation. Since Fort Ord closed many years ago, many local business have struggled to recover and this business appears to be no exception. read more

I'm giving it a three not because of the products but of the advise of an employee who didn't seem to know what she was talking about on protein drinks. She thinks whey can also come from grass. I to,d her it meant the cows were grass fed as it said on the container. She kept insisting it also came from plants. She also isolate digested better that concentrate. I had such low expectations with the name "Vitamin SHOPPE." BUT, this place is spacious, clean, and has a GREAT selection. The prices were comparable to most places, and they carried a TON of brands I only ever see at high end health food stores (Staff of Life, Whole Foods, Pharmica) I could have browsed for hours!
