I love this store and what they do. The owner is always incredibly helpful. He knows a TON about supplements and is willing to share and I learn something new every time I go in. Whether you're new to fitness or a longtime expert this place definitely has something for you. Definitely an awesome addition. I've been to their location in Santa Cruz as well and the experience is the same, great staff and will help you conquer your needs. Wish more nutrition store were like this, max muscle has supplements and proteins to meet the needs of ALL (plant based, vegan and those looking to "bulk" or "cut") they NEVER try to sell you stuff that you don't need, which I appreciate. I'm very happy a store like this exists, and I will be going here for all my vitamin and supplement needs for now on! I've already recommended this place to several people at my gym. Thank you for the hospitality! read more

Well, to start, I was greeted warmly and kindly from the District Manager, Weston! Very knowledgeable individual who knows his stuff. Not only did he know all his products, he listened to my needs and met them head on. I was set up with a 30 day cleansing and body transformation formula. As it is confusing, he took the time to write it down for me. Much appreciated. Do yourself a favor and get into one of his stores pronto!! Today is the day to take the first step... read more

Honestly LOVE this place & the staff!!! Everyone is so sweet & they are so knowledgeable. I've been working out at the gym for a year now & I used to order all my products from an online brand but I switched to now purchasing from Max Muscle Gilroy because the staff always have great suggestions and I really appreciate how they educate me on products and things I can either cut or include to achieve my goals. I have been a long time client of this location to the previous owner, only to come back realize is being ran by someone else that is actively trying to rip people off with the prices on the product. I will no longer come here to buy my workout items, I am beyond disappointed With the customer service and how the so called new "owner " treated me at his establishment. Tip to the new owner. You never let a client walk. I am a business owner here in Gilroy and trust me when I tell you, I will not send any of my guys over ! read more

I always leave feeling more knowledgeable about my own personal fitness regimen. The staff and owner are very knowledgeable and always have good recommendations on what I describe I'm looking for. Matt was amazing! Very knowledgeable employee. I went in looking for a pre-workout. I originally wanted bucked up because I had seen some good reviews on it, after stopping by I quickly realized that they didn't have what I was looking for, but Matt ask me some qualifying questions and found out what my fitness goals were and recommended a pre workout for me and my fiancé & I must say it's been working amazing! The pump I get is out of this world & the focus and drive that it gives me is like Nothing I've used before. Definitely stop by and see him read more

I was greeted by Mehdi and the customer service was awesome. I came in looking for some zero sugar stuff for my mom who is diabetic and Mehdi helped me out. He also gave me so much good advice about gaining muscle, getting shredded while fasting and doing Brazilian Jiu jitsu, weight training and cardio. Such a cool dude, you can tell he's passionate because he sounded excited talking to me about it. Thank you. read more

Fantastic assortment of quality supplements, apparel & gear. Knowledgeable staff like Weston provides great customer service in person and online via regular Instagram stories and posts on nutrition, supplements, and general fitness. Recently held demos at local well known gym franchise and offered samples there and in store. Gave me great personalized service. Answer my entry level questions without making me feel uncomfortable.

Every time I go into this place it's always hello welcome in and instead of them going back to their phones they always just go straight to you and ask questions. Great people, great products, great prices (Triple GP Threat) Mat or Matt (however you spell it, sorry dude) is great at everything and is insanely knowledgeable with products in the store, you guys have to check it out, don't just take my word for it, ask people you know! Overall great experience every time I walk in there, writing this as I currently take my pre workout that I bought from them. Great job guys, keep it up! read more

I stumbled into the Gilroy location about a year ago when an athletic trainer suggested incorporating BCAAs into my regimen. Upon being greeted in a friendly manner, I had questions. The staff is incredibly helpful and advises their customers' needs promptly. Today I bought a powdered drink supplement. I was thoughtfully warned to not leave it in the heat because heat will destroy the product. Oh! Good tip from the expert. In a past visit they asked what my goals were and even more inquiry about my usual workout times when it came to lifting to ensure that the 180 mg of caffeinated pre-workout drink might be the best fit for my needs. Everyone is different when it comes to caffeine tolerance. Some people don't even know the differences between all those supplements. Many are hyped up and are backed by major advertising, but the ingredients are not of the best quality. I love the Gilroy store!!! Additionally, a variety of pre-made meals taste great and are priced to sell fast. I bought my elderly Gma some steak, ground beef, and ground turkey so she wouldn't need to cook as often. I love the chicken with brown rice and whole wheat pasta served with a reasonably small-sized portion of steamed vegetables. Some examples are cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, and stems of asparagus. Give this independently owned business a chance to feed your brain and or body with supplemental knowledge as well as nutrients!!! read more

Sarah is great. Knows the sups well, and offers excellent advise. Except for fresh vegetables, all the products are available here for any fitness goal, and athletic performance. I have no reservation sending friends to Max Muscle. read more

They answer any questions I have and give me fantastic advice. They always give me recommendations based on my needs and never try to sell me more just to make money. They really care about their customer's goals. I've been to other locations and their incredible assortment is second to none and will meet anyone's fitness goals not matter what they are. read more
