Nichole was sweet and mindful of the pace of each course and dish that came out. Hidden gem alert! This place actually lives up to the "hype." The owners are super nice humble people. They own the wonders next door and are very hospitable. We made a reservation for girls night and it was the perfect spot for it. I brought a bottle of wine and the corkage fee is $15. This is very reasonable. We got the poutine, paella, and risotto. All dishes were well seasoned and the portions were enough to share. The ambiance was relaxing and not too bar like. I def recommend this place for a date night or just a good time with friends. It's dark and has intimate ambiance overall inside. Plays classy music which is good for date night. I wasn't a fan of their paella but I am super picky with food in general and in particular paella. Came down to Vintner's for a casual dinner with friends. I had higher expectations for this place. I would come here for drinks and an appetizer, but not necessarily to come hungry and eat! The prices of their food were a bit steeper than usual $$, and happy hour is only $2 off drinks (cocktails + beer). I ordered their Vintner's burger and Caesar salad. Both were good, but nothing too crazy to rave about. I did order a mezcal cocktail as well, and again okay (I've had better mixed drinks). Service was great and efficient. 1st time here since we were exploring Chino Hills for the day. Lovely restaurant with friendly service. The only minor complaint was that even though we were the first customers as soon as they opened on Saturday, and a couple more tables were occupied about 1/2 hour later, our food came out very slowly. Knocked off a star for that and the prices were a bit on the expensive side for typical dishes. Food was delicious. We ordered the herb Caesar salad $14 to start (9/10); jambalaya $35 (8/10- rice seemed like it sat a bit too long that the ball of rice stuck together so it was not hot & fluffy upon arrival); candied bacon burger $26 + $3 fries upgrade (10/10- ordered w/o bun, as lettuce wrapped; meat perfectly cooked, spread had a nice spicy kick and some red pepper flakes were sprinkled on the candied bacon for some more spicy heat which was good but unexpected; upgraded to garlic parm fries and they were so yummy!). Hubby ordered stick business cocktail $16 ($2 off during HH) & he liked it (sweet & refreshing). Was looking for a meet up spot between Corona and Glendora to meet up with friends for dinner and this place was almost perfectly in the middle and close to the freeway. Reviews were also really good, so we made the reservation. The dishes we ordered were all good to pretty good, but we agreed there wasn't a dish that "wow'd" us. Prices did seem a little high compared to portions, like the $6 bread, $22 bone marrow with very little actual marrow (although the broth that came with it was really good - just wish I had a soup spoon haha), $14 for a pretty basic Caesar salad, $28 for a vegetarian Shrimp Bucatini (no shrimp, same price?), etc. Steak and frittes were pretty good taste and portion wise, although my GF thought the steak was a bit under cooked. A nice char on the steak would have made a big difference. My buddy also said the jambalaya was tasty but missed the spiciness he was used too. They did have happy hour on well drinks from 6-8pm and service was really pretty good, so definitely plan to return for future meet ups, but at least we know how to customize our orders for the next time! read more

Great spot just outside of the busy shopping areas of chino hills (which is probably why I've never seen it). Food was great, servers were EXTREMELY friendly and the ambiance was impressive. The only reason it got 4 from me was that the service was slow, especially for our drinks. Our last round came after we were done with our meal. They were very busy, but considering it was a Friday night, they might have benefited from more than one bartender especially since all the craft cocktails were very unique and well done. The husband and I were looking for somewhere new to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our neighbors suggested The Vintners Tavern and this place did NOT disappoint! First we walked in to an awesome vibe. The bar manager greeted us and sat us. Super friendly guy! Our waitress, Nichole, was amazing! Chef Rich is an awesome talented man! My husband ordered a Jade dragon. A spicier Mezcal cocktail. It was delicious. I ordered a Torii Gimlet that was phenomenal! For starters we had the garlic Parmesan fries with truffle oil and croquettes with chicken and prosciutto. Both amazing and somehow just "disappeared"! Weird! Haha for dinner I ordered the Bourbon Salmon and my husband got the candied bacon burger. Portions were amazing. I'm kind of sad I filled up on appetizers because that salmon was AMAZING! However, now I'm looking forward to leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I also went "old school" and ordered a Bees Knees for my cocktail to accompany my dinner. The service was very friendly and professional. The ambiance minimal and pro date for sure. I adored the wine selection and had two cocktails: good Thang & Cuban missle crisis. Both were very well made and yummy. However, I ordered the pork belly as an appetizer. I had to ask for a steak knife and fought to saw through the first couple of layers. The top crust was particularly hard to even stab with my fork. I had to shred it with my knife and fork. The meat itself was dry. The flavor was definitely there, especially in the glaze and toppings. I hope this was a fluke because there are so many great reviews about the food. I haven't been many places at all since the COVID outbreak, but decided to go back to my happy place, Vintner's Tavern last night after running errands. It was so great to see everyone again! They've really set up the outside area so nicely, and I felt like I was at a comfortable distance from other diners. The menu is a little more scaled down (understandably), but there is still a good variety of items to choose from. I had the Pasture Raised Chicken, which was fantastic! Started with delicious empanadas that melted in your mouth, but they omitted an aioli, chimichurri, and salsa verde sauce that would have helped bring out the flavor fully. Yesterday was the 36th birthday of my love. I decided to surprise her at this elegant restaurant. Only open from 11am to 3pm. Thr ambiance was nice, very cozy. And intimate. I reached out to her dad a few weeks ago. To see how many ppl could come and celebrate. The service was good, they held a table in the back for us, and the food was really delicious took a while for it to come out but other than that everything was good. To see everyone enjoying everyone and my mother even came to support. I have more pics but it was a lot to post. I picked this place because ashley likes wine and I did my research and found out this was the best in her town in chino or chino hills. I have now been here twice. And can't wait to come back. The ambience, tables and bar are just on point! A bit hard to find in google. If you are facing the building from the Main Street, it's along the RIGHT side. Lots of parking. So I have had the following: 1. Wagyu burger - bomb 2. Lobster Crostinis - bomb 3. Scallop pasta - good The chef I'm told loves to bring back throwback dishes and I love that! They have specials so definitely ask about those! Came by for dinner the other night and it was a tasty experience. Parking was plentiful in the deserted strip mall. After taking a couple laps around the plaza, this venue seems to be the only one where there were actually patrons... Made a reservation via OpenTable and our table was ready upon arrival. Our waiter was phenomenal in providing us suggestions and it felt safe as our waiter wore a mask covering the mouth and nose. In addition, he would change out his gloves from clear vinyl to black gloves throughout the evening. Started off with the mussels that were fantastic! The mussels were fresh, the broth was fragrant and the garlic bread was excellent! Moved on to the pork belly and it was a couple bites of super tender and flavorful bites of pork belly! The bruschetta was also tasty, topped with tons of tomatoes and strawberries! Definitely a huge appetizer! For the entree, ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was a good pick. Marbling was decent on the Angus ribeye and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The bed of vegetables complemented this perfectly! Ended off the meal with the creme brulee which was a not too sweet way to end the meal! $85/head after tax and gratuity for dinner. read more

What a gem!!!! Decided to take my fam to a new place tonight so I scrolled my saved places and chose The Vintner's Tavern. Located in Chino, it's a small quaint spot way from the shops and hustle and bustle of shoppers. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with dim lighting and comfy chairs. Their menu is leather bound and classy, and the ambiance is quite inviting. We ordered a few cocktails an Old fashioned, a margarita, a paradise lane and an electric ryelaxation. The drinks were amazing. Only complaint is they were a bartender short so it took a bit to get the drinks. We ordered a few appetizers to start, the empanadas, the baguette with their homemade garlic butter and the bone marrow. Empanadas were delicious and crispy with pork, apples and onions inside. The bread was hot and crispy and the butter was divine! My absolute favorite was the bone marrow. It's a little pricey but well worth it. The bones had a large amount of marrow in them and the broth they brought the bones in was phenomenal!!! It has garlic and diced mushroom pieces and is excellent for dipping your bread in! Wow can't get over how delicious it was For dinner my daughter ordered the jambalaya which was good but she said it fell just a little flat in flavor. My husband and son in law got the steak and Pom frites. The steak was good pretty tender for a NY steak but it was definitely way too high priced for a steak and fries. It also included veggies but they said it was very plain and needed a little seasoning. I ordered the chefs special which was a boneless beef short rib with roasted potatoes, and charred broccolini. It was so tender and flavorful! Loved that they put a nice amount of Demi glaze on it made it savory and delicious. For desert we ordered the sticky toffee cake and it was good but portion was way too small and it was a little dry. All in all it was a very good meal and we had a really great experience. My girlfriends and I had a wonderful experience at Vintner's Tavern. Excellent service, cocktail and food recommendations by our server, everything we had was absolutely delicious. We all shared small bites and an entree (the scallop pasta which I forgot to take a pic of) as well as a chopped salad. We enjoyed our conversations and evening over some tasty cocktails and ended the night with the tres leches bread pudding. This is such a great place to have a date or like we did, a dinner among friends. It's small and cozy but also can be intimate I think.
