Lamb Vindaloo - more like Indian spiced pot roast.
    Kimberly M.

Upscale prices in a cute restaurant with good service. Was the Lamb Vindaloo ($44) authentic? No. But it was tasty on a cool night. The Duck Wantons ($22) were rich and yummy. The wine was a very light pour for $11, but expected from a place that calls itself the Vineyard. Paper menus and other details that you expect for these prices would cause me to pause about going back. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, and she admitted to being tired after working doubles all week. We had an overall good experience.

We came in for the wine education class but decided to grab some dinner and wine first. I ordered the salmon entrée, and while the fish itself was tasty, the glaze was a bit on the sweet side for my taste. The starch it came with wasn't cooked properly, which was disappointing for such an expensive meal. I also left the table still feeling hungry--I had to grab a snack later, and I joked that my husband would need a second dinner after our dinner! My friend ordered the seafood risotto special, which was hearty and filling, so I guess it really depends on what you're in the mood for. On a positive note, we shared a bottle of wine, and it was fantastic. The wine list is long and filled with great options--so many wines I had never tried before! I also loved the wine class. It was truly educational and worth the $25. We tasted a ton of wines, and I walked away having learned a lot. As for the restaurant space, it's a bit on the small side--just a few tables and a bar with stools. We were seated near the door, so it was cold whenever it opened, which wasn't ideal. The ambiance could definitely be improved to match the overall charm of the place. All in all, this place is definitely worth checking out, especially for the wine class experience. Just maybe don't come starving!

The service is the Best! The small plates are good but big. The Vineyard is a nice place.

The first thing I want to call out is the most excellent pricing! They offer a pretty good selection of wine and the bottle prices were probably the best and fairest, we ever encountered. The place was small and we sat in the front by the door. There was asid too that looked awesome, see pictures. You can also reserve seats at the bar, I thought that was cool. The food was also very well done. We had the burrada cheese with fruit, jam and pesto crostini. This was the only dish we had a minor issue with, the description said jam and there was no jam, more of a strawberry purée. Still very tasty and the crostini was excellent with the pesto. I had mahi mahi with a mango curry sauce and it was excellent. My wife had carbonara with crab and that was possibly better than my fish dish. The service was excellent, our synopsis was our server seemed to always be there when we needed something as if by magic because otherwise we didn't see much of her. A great experience overall, great prices, great food and great service. If we lived here we would probably be regulars.

Visiting from SoCal where wine bars are aplenty and I can tell you this should be the ONLY place you throw money away on a quality wine list and curated dishes. Excellent and satisfying across the board. Thanks Vineyard team for having a higher standard for food, wine, and service.

Met up with family at this establishment in downtown Havre de Grace after being intrigued by their offerings. We were pleasantly surprised. Quite an extensive wine list available by the bottle, glass or 3 oz tasting. Delicious food was enjoyed by all, such as the Meatballs En Croute, Deconstructed Pork Eggroll (a big hit with all 4 of us), Duck Duck Bacon Flatbread, and a charcuterie board. We were unrushed and were given helpful suggestions with our questions. They welcome you to stay, enjoy and taste as much as you'd like. We would definitely return and maybe sit in the cozy little lounge we spotted on the other side of the restaurant. Reservations are recommended.

Docked the boat and went here for lunch after walking around town. Very nice restaurant with seating and a wonderful bar. If you like wine this is the place to go. Hundreds of bottles of wine to choose from. I had a light lunch, no sandwiches to choose from mostly, flatbread choices. Jenn was my waitress and she very nice and attentive! I had the mushroom and crab tart it was delicious.

I had dinner at The Vineyard Saturday July 15th. I was so excited to be back in my hometown. The Vineyard was featured on MPT and the entrees looked delicious. Unfortunately, every item on the website that I wanted to try was a "special" and not available and the waitress did not know when any of those entrees would be available. The entrees on the MPT show were not available either. I ordered salad with salmon. The serving size was really small. Good flavor but overall I was really underwhelmed. I may try again the next time I get back to HdeG.

Five stars for both dishes. The only thing I did not like really was the old-fashioned that I ordered. It was hardly any bourbon in it. But other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent. The service was excellent.

We drove up on a Saturday late afternoon in Aug 2025 and found parking across Main Street. There are other free lots nearby and sometimes a free shuttle around town on Sat and Sun. While waiting for the music, we staked out a table among some that people had reserved ahead of time in front of the wine shop, with other tables just outside the lot and more across the quiet side-street. From the wine shop, we got a nice little pinot noir to take home. They offered plastic glasses and a bucket full of ice, so we could have had that during the concert. They also have beers and ciders, gourmet snacks, and many clever and original accessories and crafts. The wine shop's owner encouraged up to walk to nearby Joe's Deli, and across to the Patapsco Distillery where the band set up under a small canopy, and we also got some food and drink from them for our table. And there's a sweet little ice cream shop across Main Street too! The band played light rock and folk and people were relaxed in conversations and enjoyment of the music. The gentle breeze kept us cool under sun-shielding umbrellas. This is nicely done weekly pair of concert, and the welcoming hostess and cooperative nearby shops make this a pleasant way to visit Sykesville on a Friday or Saturday evening, continuing through Nov 8th.

Colorful clothing hang up in display, palm size houses tucked away behind rocks, and a cozy outdoor seating area are the first things to great you as you approach the store. Once inside, you'll find yourself in a claustrophobic den, filled with locally made goods such as clothing, foodstuffs, and art as well as wall to wall wines. Choices are plenty despite the small size of the store and at reasonable prices. For those living nearby, be sure to check out Vine on Main's wine club to get more wine at better values. The real highlight of Vine on Main is the owner, who is the sweetest woman you'll meet. She's highly knowledgeable about all the products in the shop, even the non-alcoholic ones and is more than happy to share information about them. Not only does she have excellent wine and booze recommendation, but she'll even offer some free samples if you ask her nicely. Plan on shopping around the area? She'll take your order, bag it, and leave it to the side so that you can pick it up when you're all done instead of lugging around heavy bottles. If you're in the area looking to buy some good wine or just want to spend some time with a fun and interesting woman, then check out the Vine on Main.

We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life.
