Ok, so where do I start.... Don't believe those negative reviews online you hear about this place. People are just upset because they live a miserable life. HA! The staff here is dope. They are usually very busy with tours, so sometimes they hard to get ahold of. However, if you do leave a message, one of the lovely ladies will call you back. The Maintenace folks here are dope Asf too... Everyone super friendly as for the staff. Ok, so if you don't like dogs, this is not the place for you. There are far more dogs and cats here than kids. Its near Bothell UW, so there are a lot of students as well. The only noise you really here at night is sirens from an emergency vehicle on Beardless Blvd, other than that its pretty quiet. Shout out to the new Property Manager Annamarie who is making a stamp. She's far better than the last looser who just sat in the office and didn't do a thing. Shout out to the young sales agent Ms. Hailey Markham. She's always got a smile on her face and ready to talk about her precious puppy. Overall, I'd rate this place an 8/10. I am planning on moving in September so started touring communities that matched what I was looking for. Shelby at Villas is awesome to work with, personable, knowledgeable, didn't make us feel rushed and answered all of our questions. Community: awesome floor plan options. 1 bedroom actually felt roomy and bright. Everything from the parking garage to the hallways was clean and quiet. Pricing: Seattle market is very expensive but I felt that I found a hidden gem Amenities: the building we toured had the standard large gym, yoga area plus there is a club room that can be reserved and outdoor seating on the 3rd floor. Local: a drive thru Starbucks, Beardslee pub and other eating options Freeway: onramp to the 405 is really easy to get to. Packages/Mail: secured and in the same building. read more

we lived here for a few years and had no issues and this last year moved into a bigger unit and we we forced to live in one that had mold growing on the walls. told it was a healthy moisture level by 1% then a few weeks later had mold growing out of the walls in places no mold should be expected. maintenance came to bleach it (which is the cheapest solution for a "luxury" apartment we paid over $2,000 a month for) as well as came with no warning and stated at the door they were here to clean mold we were complaining about... i shouldnt have to worry about mold in a so called well maintained building so i have every right to complain about it read more

This is the worst apartment I've ever lived in. You would think paying 3400 dollars for a 2 bedroom 2 bath would be satisfactory. Instead, we constantly need our apartment maintenanced for various broken things- heat, our water wouldn't shut off, the hot water heater was turned below 120 degrees, we couldn't even get through one shower with hot water, the power went out for 18 hours due to an "electrical issue" - on the coldest weekend of winter, hmm what else. Oh the random fire alarms! You never know when these will go off, maybe midnight, maybe 7 am. The office staff are all idiotic for the most part, and don't provide updates as they should. We literally hate this apartment community SO MUCH. read more

Convenient, close to everything you need. Love being close to the trails and the freeway. Lived here for 11 months, great looking establishment but could be better. I live on the NE side of building 1, facing the Beardslee Boulevard. It's the perfect place to get high for free...the smoking area is right below us so all the second hand smoke and weed goes inside my unit. Price of living by a busy street is the road noise, excellent place if you want to yell at people over dinner just to hear each other...especially when our hero's from the fire department and police have their sirens on full blast! Rainy days are impeccable, nice to cozy up and look at the wetlands accross the street, however rainy days also brought mold to my unit, destroyed one of our nightstand and you could see mold growing in the corners of the apartment. We notified the office and they sent someone just to tell us to open our windows during 30 degree weather...we ended up tossing that piece of furniture. My truck got broken into, called Thompson Security which they have a contract with, no answer and left a voicemail which NO ONE got back to me. I called the office and no help was really provided. I was told that if it happened overnight...that was a long period of time for them to review the security footage...yep, there's a camera but it's pointed at the entrance of the garage to monitor vehicles coming and going. So whoever has my stuff, was just seen leaving the garage. They gave me parking permits and told me we can park in the lower section of the garage, which is great. But on my 10th/11th month, I started getting all these tickets from Diamond Parking who monitors the garages. When I called to dispute, Diamond Parking could not provide me a reason why I'm getting tickets. The leasing office could not provide me reasons why I got tickets as well. Waste water bill also fluctuates with no reason, we asked and of course no clear cycle billing explanation was given. Maybe we were getting charged for rain water that runs down the gutters? They have a great gym, unfortunately all the free weights are gone! Someone has them in their apartment somewhere Make sure to pick up your packages as soon as you get an alert, you might not get it sealed but you'll still get it. I moved into the Villas totally sight unseen, as I needed to move in the beginning of the pandemic and had no choice in regards to the timing; I was immediately in contact with Jenny, the lead property manager, and she provided dozens of photos and then explained the lay of the land. I've lived in some really nice places before (or seemingly nice - until you find out that the developer cut too many corners and tenants eventually all had to move out asap due to an entire highrise flooding...that wasn't here!!) so walking into my unit actually felt like Jenny undersold it; everything was top-of-the-line, and brand new and was HUGE for a one bedroom. I don't face the highway but still hear the sounds of residents nearby, including kids screaming, some construction, and traffic. It's pretty quiet overall though, especially at night. Of course neighbors here can be loud. If you want YOUR privacy...keep it down. The walls are thin, but you really have to stomp around for extra noise to be heard above or below. LOUD movies will rattle the walls, so maybe they don't know it and just need a polite nudge? And some people will be intentionally annoying. I've notified the management of some way big issues with neighbors, and they were totally understanding after exploring things that went beyond normal apartment living. A lot of apartment managers don't believe tenants or care, and I actually felt like they listened to me, even though not a lot could be done, but they tried, and I appreciated that. The starbucks and brewery downstairs is a nice option, though people really don't use it a lot (which is surprising - it's a nice place just to get out of your place if there's really nowhere to go.) It's a pretty "urban" feeling; about what it felt like living in Downtown Seattle, and most people here are really nice. It seems a lot has changed since the older reviews - definitely can't agree to how "bad" it is....it's actually one of the better places I've lived! read more

I moved here in a hurry back in April so I took what was available--a small one bedroom. After a month here I realized that I needed a larger space to be able to have my daughter and dog join me. The front office and management were so compassionate and helpful. I was able to transfer to a 2 bedroom in another building and I could not be happier. Is it perfect here? No. But it's not perfect anywhere. Even when you own your own home (which I also do), things are not perfect. But they do everything they can to make things right and make them better. I love my apartment, the view, and the amenities. You can't beat the location right off the freeway and across from the wetlands and so close to eating establishments. I highly recommend! read more

The place is filthy. Someone spilled soda pop in front of the elevators on Sunday. It is all gross and sticky. I told them about it in he office. The gal pretty much just blew me off and it is still there. This is three days later. The stairs reek of urine, the hallways are all stained and they had a rat problem. I have seen them running around outside in the daytime. They got rid of the dead rat smell in the office a few weeks ago. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place is a compete and utter joke from the front staff to the overall cheapness of the apartments themselves. Also, with having a "gated garage" there are cars broken into weekly!! People that don't live that are just free to come in and out of the gate and take from any car they choose, security is never around or on patrol as they would you to think. This place has cut so many corners when it comes to the building itself, with the paper thin walls and floors, you can hear the everything that goes on with the neighbors around you! And I mean everything! All this place wants is money money money for substandard living! Added note if you are a POC they let people yell racial obscenities at you, without ever going to fix the problem. Example we had an upstairs neighbor that did that for two weeks straight and even thrown things out of his window on to the patio and nothing was done, until he finally threatened to kill someone(not of color) then the police came but again not for the people that felt unsafe when the issue first started. I would not live here and hated since the day management changed hands! I would consider living anywhere else but here!!!! I mean it. I have lived in Bellevue and Fremont in new construction apartments, and I have to say Village at Beardslee Crossing is my favorite apartment by far! It is quiet, nice community, great maintenance and staff, awesome leasing agents and great apartments! The management and maintenance staff is attentive and responsive. They go out of their way to help me, for example I had a package with food that was delivered but I came home after hours. One of the maintenance staff drove from Everett to Bothell to give us the package so the food wouldnt go bad. I wish there were 10 stars because this is the best community by far that I have lived in. I recommend this apartment complex for anyone! read more

We've had a great overall experience at the Villas. We have lived here throughout the last two and a half years. We moved into the new Villas 2 building as one of the first initial residents and loved our apartment and view(biggest selling point) The community is located in a great location close to I-405, Beardslee Pub, Starbucks and of course downtown Bellevue a few miles away. We enjoyed good BBQs on the patio during the summers, have rented out the club house for birthday parties and all have been fun. The leasing and management staff have always displayed professionalism and have been sincere since the beginning. We've put in our maintenance tickets immediately when needed and for the most part they've responded promptly to fix the issues. But most importantly given everything that's going on in today's world, they've been very helpful and understanding. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Villas. read more

Bottom line: Don't live here. Kasey K. and Lauralee C. both did a wonderful job describing this place. I have lived here for almost 2 years, and my lease ends in February 2018, but after a couple months after the transition to Holland, I have to decided to pay the $3,000 to terminate my lease early. There will be problems wherever you go, but at least the old management company worked with the tenants, were professional, and actually did their jobs. The last straw was when I went to the front desk to pick up a package (with no email notification!) and Niki was sitting at the front desk and did not even acknowledge my presence. I literally stood right next to her desk for 5 minutes while she talked to her friend. She didn't say anything to me, she didn't even look at me, so I sat on the couch and waited.... And waited. I am not even hesitating to call her out by name and any of the other employees, because this is completely unprofessional. I continued to wait and noticed that the package, that was delivered earlier that day with a notification from amazon, was sitting outside in the open and had been sitting there since the afternoon delivery. They take their time putting away packages and they sit in front of the closet all day until they do. Beyond this particular incident, I would refer back to the other two reviews which I completely concur with. I cannot believe the poor management of this property. By all means, though a great location, avoid living here at all cost. It is not worth it. read more

This is a very long review because there are so many issues, so here is a quick summary: This community was great until mid June when Holland Property Group took over as the management company. Since then, living here has become so horrible that I'm actually convinced they're trying to drive people out so they can raise rents or turn them into condos. The biggest issues stem from the management company's lack of communication with their residents and what appears to be complete laziness. When maintenance is scheduled, we get no communication. When something is broken, we get no communication. They tell us that they'll send updates, we get no communication. As another review on here said, we had an issue where the elevators were all broken. The management knew about the issue, but didn't send out any communication for an additional 4-5 hours. When they did, they said they would send updates on the fix progress. There were never any additional emails. The garage doors in both buildings broke, we didn't receive any communication from Holland property group for days after. Once they finally did send something, it was just to say "the garages are broken." There was no real estimated time to fix. After a week or so I went in to talk to them and they didn't even know that building 1 garage was still broken. I have spoken with them about the monitors in the buildings that are supposed to provide residents with community updates and package tracking that have been broken for 2.5 months. I was told "oh they'll be fixed tomorrow since we just changed to a new portal system" but a month after that conversation they're still broken. Now, they have even stopped notifying us of received packages. We just have to track them ourselves and go in and HOPE they didn't lose a package. I have had them lose a package and it took days for it to be found. The hallways, entry ways, and elevators all smell like smoke and urine on good days. They seem to have just stopped cleaning the buildings and the landscaping has just disappeared. The grounds are littered with tons of cigarette butts and pet waste all the time now. The public bathroom that is outside the common room (used to entertain guests) was out of toilet paper on a day we had a bbq scheduled. The front desk staff had no idea. When I've asked them if they ever do a walkthrough of building 1, they flat out told me "no I never go over there." Maybe living in building 2 where the office is would be better, but building 1 is completely disregarded and treated like we don't exist. All of this wouldn't be so bad if the staff was friendly, but they aren't. In the last 2 months, I think there has only been 1 consistent person in the office to talk to. Every time we go in, its a new staff. At one point, we went in and it was 2 temps staffing the office who didn't know anything about the community and couldn't help with our issue at all. The old management company did nice things like having community events (Taco Tuesday!) and would leave out pet treats for residents in the entryway to building 1 and 2. Now the treats are only for building 2. Building 1 is completely ignored. The old management company did a "pet of the month" contest which was great, the new company can't even tell us when they've received a package for us. Every resident we've talked to cannot stand the new staff and are counting the days to move out (which is what I think they want). There have even been signs put up by other residents that says "People hate us on Yelp!" Nobody is happy with the new management company and everybody is looking to move out. Do NOT move in! Having lived here almost two years, I can no longer hold back my opinion of this place. We put up with a lot of things when it was the old management because at least they cared and were friendly. All of a sudden without any announcement of the switch over Holland is the new management company. I asked why they didn't do any transition period and they said they couldn't convince anyone from thrive to stay. I can see why. Negatives: This place is louder than a Vegas hotel. The noise ordinance is not enforced in the least. We allegedly have security but they aren't helpful. I once had to call the cops because I was actually scared of my neighbors screaming and throwing things against the wall. Quality of people. They pretty much let anyone live here. Once there was a domestic dispute with blood all over the hallway and screaming and threats and that person wasn't evicted. Get used to the sound of toilets flushing constantly! Anytime your neighbor goes to the bathroom it will be niagra falls in your unit. Air quality. My asthma is back in full swing thanks to my A hole neighbors who think it's fun to smoke into their kitchen fan and fill our unit with smoke. We get sick all the time. Management doesn't care. The closets are a joke. It's the most stupid layout of an apartment I've ever seen. They put the water heater in the closet so we have a three foot wide closet. Constant inspections. Technically apartments should do an inspection once a year. We have one about once every six weeks. They're a large timespan of when they can enter usually being from 11-5. Extremely annoying to not be able to relax in your own home. Filthy. Common areas are never cleaned. It just keeps going downhill. The trash room is full to the brim. Parking. Don't pay for the parking, the price of it is a joke. Find another way if you live here. If your friends visit they will get parking tickets. Everyone complains about diamond lying and essentially stealing from people because they make up the amount of time people have been parked in a spot and nothing is ever done about it. Many weird things have happened while we've lived here that make me feel very unsafe. One that comes to mind is that down the hall from me a neighbor thought he was on the 5th floor. He lives in 50*. His key worked in 40*! He barged in on an unsuspecting family and both parties were shocked. I've truly never heard of such a lack of security and I wonder how that's even possible to mess up locks like that. After receiving several nasty messages from the group involved in this story it's pretty pathetic that they apparently never got the situation fixed. I assumed they moved. The awesome common areas they show you are near impossible to reserve. Once we reserved a room weeks before and had the entire room set up and some other group came in and rudely argued with us that they had it reserved. We had to move our entire set up and we're told we used the wrong reservation site. So I guess you need to reserve the rooms on two sites? Good luck getting your packages! Especially with holland. I went down three times to get my packages and every time the one person who works here left a note on the door that they were busy on a tour. You also won't get notifications you got a package. Myself and another person asked why we don't get notifications and we were told holland is just so overwhelmed that they can't figure it all out. People have dogs who bark literally all day. If you have your own well behaved pets and aren't a neglectful owner it will become very irritating to you and your pets. It's super hot in the hallways. They don't turn on any AC. You need your own AC unit for it to be liveable for sure. I don't really care that you're overwhelmed. You bought this building for 52.85 million dollars but if getting your act together isn't important than by all means continue to let this place circle the drain. Pros I loved the old management!! They were amazing and kind and I truly miss them. They used to throw parties for everyone and were friendly. They were so professional and wore uniforms and treated this as a real job. There's several restaurants and a Starbucks in the parking lot. People who visit seem to enjoy it, you do start to be apathetic towards it after living here a while. If you have kids they would enjoy the games in the common area. It's usually reserved or busy but it's nice if you are able to hang out there. The units have a bit more of a design touch than some apartments. They all vary hugely and some are nicer than others. The location is amazing for getting on the freeway. It was also very convenient when I went to UWB. Seriously avoid this place at all cost. They deleted the old yelp account and it also had terrible reviews. So here's the thing. I LOVE our apartment. As in, I love what is inside our own apartment. Once we step outside the door, it's pretty shitty. The management changed as soon as we moved in, which we knew about, that's cool. And, as someone who has been in leasing for 10 years or so, I get that taking on a new property is always challenging and will always come with some push back from residents. "The old company did this better", "but they let us do this why don't you" etc etc. I'm not upset about policy changes, or anything of that sort. It's the staff. We have one person in the office, a staff of about 5, that we feel we can trust to get things done. That's Nikki. We love her and have worked with her since moving in. Everyone else is flighty, are new and don't know their ass from a hole in the ground or literally looks bothered by your question. Are they nice? Yes. Totally. No complaints there. But they seem more preoccupied with planning events and parties rather than taking care of the piss stain running down our hallway or picking up a disgusting set of chairs left behind in the elevator hallway two weeks ago. Yes, I've told them. Parties are cool and great for resident retention. But perhaps, instead of a party each week and one every football game, maybe walk your property? I think that's my biggest complaint. Our hallways smells like piss, there are beer cans and dog shit everywhere on-site, trash rooms are always full etc. just a general lack of care into a place you try to call home. We love our apartment, love the pub on-site, the location, tasting room, sushi and bothell as a whole. But the staff, aside from one, we could do without. It sucks bc there is a ton of potential here. The building really is nice and well built. There's a lot to love. If you can get past the staff or your hallways smelling like piss and you come and go, then by all means come live here! I hope they get better. I'll update should it change. But for now, the lone red chair still remains, after I was told it would be taken care of. And my noisy student neighbor above us continues to do aerobics at 11pm and is still, at this very moment, dragging his couch around the apartment for hours. The Villas at Beardslee - Two weeks right here. Just shows how much they don't see/notice. - Apartments Near Me - Bothell, Washington

***** Updates: 1. We were told there would be sidewalk construction very shortly before it started. We were told it would take 1 week. On the day that marked 1 week we were informed it would take an additional 5-6 weeks. 2. A month ago we were informed that the downstairs public restroom in building 1 was broken. Last week we asked if it had been fixed and we were informed that it is still broken. Still no update. 3. A fire alarm went off at 6 am on Sunday October 29th. The building was evacuated and emergency services responded. An hour or so later we were let back in. At 4 pm I went to get a package and asked what caused the fire alarm. The office person responded with "the fire alarm went off last night????" 4. We were told on October 30th that new carpet would be getting put down on October 30th in building 1. So that is 3 projects started with no finish in site. And a complete lack of caring for an emergency situation. **** The old management company had issues but they were friendly, and it felt like when i brought up an issue they handled it they way they would want it handled in their home. Holland group has been awful! Carts to help carry things to and from cars have all but disappeared, and issue that had been mostly resolved by the previous company. A neighbor below us started smoking and filling out apartment with smoke every night. It took 5 emails and going into the office to even get a response. The elevators broke after the fire alarm went off for a minute. They never sent out an email to explain what was going in. It took calling 10 times for someone to answer and then thier response "they are working on it but i dont know whats wrong or how long it will take." Over 2 hours later there was still no information. Also always take a picture when you make a payment. Their website told me that my payment went through. Now there is a 100 dollar late fee because I tried to make a payment early. The lack of communication, courtesy and general organizing is terrible. I strongly recommend looking for a different community. Holland group is new but the standard of living has fallen significantly since they took over. read more

Do not live here a few value your delivered possessions. The mail room doesn't have enough space for all the boxes so many are left on the carpet unsecured and apparently some of the residence like to go shopping and just take your stuff. The only thing management does is say they're sorry but there's nothing they can do sometimes you can re-order your products at no charge sometimes you're out a significant amount of money this is happened to me many times. We highly recommend Alesha Chambers- Due to a serious non-covid family illness my wife and I needed a place in Bothell that we could stay as needed on a long term basis since we don't live in the Seattle area anymore. After looking at several other apartment complexes in the area and not being impressed with either the facilities or the rental staff we talked to Alesha at "The Villas". She was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic and was genuinely interested in helping us and largely because of her we decided to rent a one bedroom. However because of the rapidly changing nature of the family members condition an apartment turned out to not be necessary at this time. Both my wife and I want to thank Alesha for making a very difficult time a little easier for us and if we ever need a place here in the future she's the one we're going to call. read more

Let me save you the trouble and say it's absolutely not worth a second wasting your life here. The management does not respond even after asking six times. Unless you are white then they will cater to your every whim while treating anyone else less-than. If you still plan on moving here or have unfortunately moved here, make sure you have EVERYTHING they say IN WRITING because they will also go back on every single word they tell you over the phone so don't bother talking to them on the phone because then you have "no proof". The packaging system is a hot mess and they charge you for it. Along with charging you for everything else, including twice for sewer. THEFT! THEFT! And MORE THEFT! NO FREIGHT ELEVATOR, NO DESIGNATED PARKING FOR MOVING TRUCKS, PAPER THIN WALLS. At first sight, the Villas are amazing. Beautiful apartments and great location. That's about it. You must pay for parking if you want a parking spot, but the theft in the parking garages is never ending. From smashed car windows, stolen cars and bikes, to creepy people walking though them at all times day and night. The walls are paper thin so you hear your neighbors and they hear you. Also because of poor insulation and no A/C, they are HOT in the summer. I think everyone at the Villas has a dog, but no dog park or designated dog potty area. There is one tiny patch of bark that all the dogs go in and very few people pick up the poop. They really only care about money here. They have cut corners and only provided the very basics. Love living here. Everything about this place is great, location, amenities, food near by, only one issue I have with this place and that is the neighbors. Everyone who owns a dog, and yes I mean everyone has allowed their dog to pee/poop in the halls, the garage floor and the doorways. It always smells like shit and it just baffles me. But I give it 5 stars cause that is not the companies fault, its the neighbors and I have tried to address this with the few I see and it does not seem to work. I've lived at VBC for 3 years now, and have transferred between buildings and various floor plans. There have been a few management companies, and I feel I know what to expect during these transitions. Systems change, records are lost, policies evaluated, lessons learned, and careful changes implemented. First off, I LOVE my apartment. I LOVE the location. Couldn't get much better. The staff has always been friendly which is a big improvement from other places I have lived at. Nikki has been a life saver and we truly value that she's on the team! While there have been times I felt like it took a long time to receive responses, or that I was being accidentally ignored (it took three appointments with Maintenance before they showed up) I think a lot of these can be attributed to transition. I had similar experiences during the previous management transition. I'm also seeing some complaints about noise levels, which I have to admit are dependent on unit and building. I was afraid to move in originally because so many people complained about noise, but I have yet to have a bad experience. Neighbors are generally nice, and if you ask them nicely, in my experience, they will respond in kind. When I lived in building 1 in several different corner units, I never once heard my neighbors. Having moved into building 2, I received a noise complaint in the first week while watching a movie. Lesson learned, the walls in my unit seem to be thinner than before. Truthfully I can't say it's much worse than other places I've lived. I've really enjoyed my time here and recommend it to people. But I do have a few complaints that span across management companies, are totally parking related... There's a lot wrong with parking. Garage doors break a lot, and there are a lot of thefts. I've had my car broken into a number of times, even in the secured parking areas. The cost is $95 per spot, which seems high for Bothell. You will pay this fee whether you're allotted a secured parking spot or one that is unsecured close to the retail spots. In addition, the retail spots are often overflowed during dinner time due to the draw of great restaurants we have access to. This is disappointing, especially because when the buildings were originally built they justified the high prices due to "secured parking". That line quietly disappeared as they started assigning us to unsecured spots, and they increased the prices from $75. It was not transparent how they justified increasing prices unilaterally while forcing many into unsecured areas. This is a bigger concern since there is a long history of vehicle thefts. At the least, those in unsecured spots should have a reduced fee to encourage residents to volunteer for them. In addition, I recommend anyone with an Electric Vehicle (EV) stay away from VBC. When I moved in one of the original management companies advertised the UW Bothell car charging stations as an amenity of sorts. This was a huge win for me. But as residents, UW students and employees, and retail customers began fighting over access to the 2 charging stations, the UW jacked up the prices and put hour constraints on the spots. If you forget to move your car, you're liable to have a large ticket. And with the new prices, it completely invalidates the benefit of having an EV, to begin with. With the previous management company, I tried to work out a deal where I could have my parking spot move to one of the locations in Building 2 where there are power outlets. They were uninterested in this compromise. When I asked if they would consider putting in a ChargePoint station for retail customers and residents (these are often free) this was rejected as well, with the excuse that they didn't see enough demand to warrant stations. This of course came at the same time that UW Bothell's stations couldn't cope with the demand. At this point, the $95 I spent on parking was worthless, as I couldn't charge in my spot. Ultimately I found some retail spaces that had 120v trickle charge outlets and began using those overnight. Even though those spots were listed as 3 hours, I never seemed to get a ticket. I think with the previous management company this was how they were willing to compromise since they had pretty much-left residents with EVs out to dry. When the new management took over, I received $500 of parking tickets in the first month. I'm now at a bit of a loss what to do. I would happily pay the $95 parking fee if I actually had access to a place I could charge, or if residents with EVs were given amnesty in retail spots so we can charge. With 120v charging stations it takes me 22 hours to achieve a full charge, so it's a joke to think a 3-hour charging session is helpful. I'm active in several EV owner groups, and I've received messages that others have decided against living at VBC due to inadequate support (I received one such email just last week). I stopped by the leasing office yesterday to look at a lease take over option for one of their one bedroom apartments. Niki in the office was SO helpful! She answered all of my questions, was extremely welcoming, and I felt like I was talking to a friend. I did a lease take over at another apartment complex in the Bothell area and they were horribly rude about it. I was constantly told, "Well, you're a lease take over" and was treated like I wasn't a resident simply for doing a lease take over. My experience with Niki (The Village at Beardslee Crossing) was 100% the opposite of my previous experience and I am excited to move in!! read more

Do not rent from this place. Here are some of the things we've experienced after living here almost two years (when Holland took over). 1. Noisy - Since the 3rd building was built, don't expect to get much sleep at night. Rowdy drunks walking the sidewalks screaming late at night, being obnoxious, etc. It sounds like fraternity row on a Saturday night but 7 nights a week. I find beer bottles and glasses thrown on my patio (ground floor) all the time now. 2. Holland is not responsive to maintenance issues - For instance, our vehicle was parked in their garage in one of our assigned spaces and a strange substance was leaking (not water) from the ceiling onto our car and it would never come off with a simple car wash. We were told we'd have to wait until the Spring so that they could assess the issue better instead of caulking the seam to prevent or mitigate the leak. Yes, we moved parking stalls but their lack of proactive facility problem solving skills leaves little to be desired. 3. Bad phone etiquette by leasing agent - I once called 10 minutes before closing and they placed me on hold. Closing time hit and my call dropped. I guess making it to happy hour on time was more important than my phone call. 4. Car broken into. Twice. - Once on P1, then a second time on P2. And P2 even has a security gate so perhaps it was an inside job or someone piggy-backed into the garage behind a tenant. Bothell Police are very familiar with this problem involving this property. When Thrive Communities ran this property, the staff was much more responsive and friendly to their tenants. I unfortunately have the pleasure of being locked into this lease as well as my Hillsboro, OR lease at another one of their properties. I will not be renewing at either of my apartments. read more

Everything about this apartment complex has been pleasant and amazing! I moved in about 2 months ago just as Holland management was taking over. I remember the first time I stepped onto this property. It was late in the day when the leasing office was almost closing. Niki, one of the amazing consultants here at the leasing office, stayed late just to show us not one but three different floor plans. She was very patient and helpful. We ended up signing the lease a few days later and moved in right away. Since I moved in, I have not had any problems whatsoever. I have spoken to almost everyone in the leasing office at least once and every time they were nothing but friendly and helpful. They are very prompt to answer any questions with a smile and genuinely interested in making your day better. Aside from the great leasing staff, here are other things awesome about this place. I work from home so trust me if there was any issues to be complained about, I would be the first. I would not put up with it. - The amenities here are thoughtfully planned and useful. I love the gym and the spin room. The clubhouse is a great place to go and just watch some tv or play games. The kitchen in there is big enough that you can throw a dinner party from start to finish. The theater room is perfect for movie nights. The conference room is there if you ever want a change in environment while working from home. The outside patio is good on a chilly day since you can barbecue and sit by the fireplace. Reservations to use the clubhouse exclusively is not hard to make either. - I have not had a noise issue with any of the neighbors on my floor. I'm not saying it is dead quiet but if all apartments doors are closed and you are inside the apartment, you will not hear anything. - Security is great. I have seen the security guard around the building when I come home late at night. UWB campus security or Bothell police are also seen frequently around the property and surrounding businesses. - I have not had any problems with air quality in the hallways or otherwise. I have never smelled smoke or unpleasant odors. - The maintenance has been very pleasant to work with. I have called for maintenance twice. Both times they were there for general requests such as wanting my door to shut a little quieter or wanting to add more shelf space in the closet and laundry room. The maintenance staff was very considerate and treated my home like theirs. - Although this apartment complex does not come with ACs in the units, the apartment cools down pretty quickly if you just crack your door open a little and put a fan at the door. I have survived those hot summer days without having to buy an AC unit. - Parking garage is always clean and everyone parks in their assigned spots. I have not seen a scratch on my car or have it broken into. - I see a lot of adorable and well behaved dogs around the apartment everyday. And yes dogs bark. That's what they do even if they are the most well behaved dog in the world. Also kids cry and we put up with it. You just have to be a little understanding and have some compassion about everyone. Needless to say, I love this place and if anyone is considering to live here, you definitely should! read more

This property is expensive and your not getting what you pay for. It's dirty to say the least. The hallways are filthy with carpet stains! The garbage shute is backed up full of trash, and the stairway in the building smells like every dog in town pees there! Yuck! When you walk out if the building through the smokers the railway and cement is nasty with cigarettes and dog pee! You go to cross the street to grab a bite to each and what to you smell dog pee! Can anyone take their dog for a walk! Ugh! Put a ashtray out with sand for these idiots can put a cigarette out! The new management is horrible! When you go to the main building and walk into get s package the girl looks like she needs new clothes and please fix your hair! There office smells great while the other building smells like a dog park! Damn buy some lime to put down where the dogs pee! The grills have NOT been cleaned and the grease trap underneath catch on fire and are dripping all over. Hello can we hire maitenance or cleaning crew! I have been living here for almost 2 years now, and here is my list of pros and cons. Management used to be on my list of Pros, but the management changed and I do not consider it as one anymore. Pros: 1. Location - I love how it takes less than 1 minute to be on I-405 and it takes 10 mins to get to Bellevue downtown. It is the primary reason why I moved here, as UW Bothell campus was in walking distance. 2. Modern interior - Being a new building, kitchen, floor plan, appliances and all the things inside are nearly perfect and I am very happy with this. 4. Shops near the building - I like having Starbucks and restaurants in a walking distance. 5. The apartment looks good. - As it says, it looks neat from the outside. Cons: 1.a Construction noise - Most of the day, I start my day by waking up with the construction noise. For 2 years, almost non-stop. 1.b Noise from upstairs - I've lived in different apartments for over 30 years. I suffered the most from the noise from either upstairs from neighbors. I reported this issue at least 5 times, but there isn't much that management can do. I think it is more of the problems of building itself. 2. Stinky hallway - I do not know what's wrong with the garbage chute. It was fine when I first moved in, but lately, the entire hallway smells like garbage, especially during the night time. 3.a Security - First of all, someone stole everything inside of my car while it was parked in the garage. I was not the only victim either. Someone stole near $1000 worth of stuff in the car. A video quality from CCTV from the apartment was too bad to be helpful. 3.b Security - My wife's bike and multiple other bikes were stolen from the apartment garage. Once again, CCTV was pretty much useless. When I itemized pros and cons, they might seem pretty balanced. But I got significantly less stress from my older apartment (which was much older and had worse location). Needless to say, this review is very subjective and maybe I am just more sensitive to noise than others and I might have been just unlucky with the security. I have lived here since June and I absolutely love it. I don't understand why everyone is hating on the staff because I have never had a problem. They are always so friendly and helpful- Nikki especially! She is the one I have had the most interaction with and she has been a tremendous help through my transition to move here. My experience just wouldn't have been as stress-free if she wasn't there. Yes, the noise level can get loud, however, I have only ever heard the people above me and good luck finding any apartment thats not on a top floor to be otherwise. I think that if you are considering the fact that you are not alone in an apartment building, you shouldn't have any problems. Also, they do leave treats for your fur babies in building 1 and they have been throwing get togethers now too. Management transitions can get hard and messy sometimes but kinks get worked out eventually. The trash room, at least on my floor has never been gross or super dirty. The AC has been on in the hall since I have been here and I have never smelt anything terrible in the halls. Everyone experiences things differently, but don't let these reviews scare you! DONT MOVE HERE? If I could give zero stars I would. Recently new management has come in and they are horrible. They are the most unprofessional people I have met in my life. I feel embarrassed for them. Every time I have been in contact with them they have no idea what they are doing. They use the excuse that they are new and still are getting used to things. They tell you they will get back to you and you never hear from them unless you call them a million times and leave messages. They have been here roughly for 3 months and they need to get it together. For the price that we pay it is ridiculous that the office staff can't even answer a simple question. Ever since they have come everything has fallen apart. Before they came everything was always clean and since holland group The hallways and garbages are disgusting. Don't even get me started on the parking situation they charge $95 a month just for parking and it's in a secured garage which the gate is always broken and thieves have gotten in and stolen my bike and broken into my car. The front office here is the biggest joke and I can't wait till our lease is up!!!! read more
