We had an emergency oil leak while driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, about two hours outside of SF. We were not going to make it. We put in 5 quarts of oil just to keep the car going and barely made it to a Valvoline, but they couldn't fix the issue. At that point, we were stressed, running out of options, and preparing to tow the car more than 120 miles from Los Baños. By the grace of God, my partner found Precision Emissions Auto Repair. He called, and they told us to come in. On a Sunday, when we had been told no one was open, that alone felt like a miracle. We pulled in with oil still leaking, and from the moment we arrived, they took care of us. Steven, Joseph, and Jesse were kind, calm, and incredibly professional. They quickly diagnosed the issue as a damaged VVT-i oil line hose and got to work right away. What really stood out was how much they cared. They were supposed to close at 4 PM, but stayed more than two hours late just to make sure our car was safe and we could get back on the road. That meant a lot to us. They also made sure we were okay while we waited. They brought us inside, let us sit in the AC on a hot day, and even offered water and snacks. It may seem small, but in that moment it meant everything. Coming from LA and SF, we can honestly say this was the best service we've ever received. The fact that they showed up for us like this on a busy Sunday made it even more special. If you're anywhere nearby and need a mechanic you can trust, this is the place. Edwin took care of my out of town break down…read more Late on a Thursday afternoon my '82 El Camino broke down on I 5. Seems the AC unit froze up breaking the belt... which then cascaded and got tangled up with other belts in the pulley system. Lost my AC, water pump, and alternator. I had called a couple of shops and no one thought they could have the car completed the same day. Doc's towing recommended Edwin's and called ahead to confirm if Edwin could replace the belts before closing. Edwin said he could and ordered up the belts prior to my arrival. I am so thankful that Edwin stayed 1/2 hour past closing wrapping up my vehicle. He got me back on the road saving me a rent-a-car for the weekend as I needed to get up to Sonoma Raceway. Breaking down out of town frequently instills fear of being "taken" due to the urgency of the situation. Edwin's was very very fair in price. If I lived in the area I would make Edwin's my go-to mechanic.

Now mind you by this time it was after 3:30pm on a Friday on a Holiday weekend. But Jose the owner came over and looked at the truck and him and my husband believed it to be the starter. At first Jose was concerned about the time and holiday about getting someone to come in and help. He was already with a full shop. But being a family man himself he didn't want to leave my husband stranded with his wife and 2 daughters. So they got the truck to his shop and made us comfortable in his waiting room. And with the starter in hand that my husband bought at O'Reileys he and Bernardo proceeded to fix our truck! I cant even express how grateful I am to know there are still great people in this world that can help out in such crazy situations as ours was. I would recommend this business time and time again. It was a large shop with 8 work bays and I felt comfortable leaving the truck there overnight with the fenced in yard. After getting the rental, run some errands, we went back and they were starting to work on it. The idler bearing stopped spinning finally tearing apart the belt.
