We have been forced to donate the car to charity because we have been paying insurance and registration on a vehicle for over a year and a half and the car just sits and rots away. Even though there were only 2-3 cars ahead of me, the wait was about 20-25 minutes, which was fine. However, once my car was pulled in, the experience went downhill. The technician seemed to be extra critical simply because my car is a sports car. He began complaining about the catalytic converter, claiming it was not original. I explained that it is original and even told him I have the receipt from the last time this exact shop smogged the car. Despite that, he insisted it wasn't original and refused to complete the smog. The most frustrating part is that I took my car literally two minutes up the road, and it passed with no issues at all. I understand smog regulations are strict, but consistency and professionalism matter. If another licensed shop can pass the car immediately with no problem, something isn't adding up here. Based on this experience, I won't be coming back.

Edwin took care of my out of town break down…read more Late on a Thursday afternoon my '82 El Camino broke down on I 5. Seems the AC unit froze up breaking the belt... which then cascaded and got tangled up with other belts in the pulley system. Lost my AC, water pump, and alternator. I had called a couple of shops and no one thought they could have the car completed the same day. Doc's towing recommended Edwin's and called ahead to confirm if Edwin could replace the belts before closing. Edwin said he could and ordered up the belts prior to my arrival. I am so thankful that Edwin stayed 1/2 hour past closing wrapping up my vehicle. He got me back on the road saving me a rent-a-car for the weekend as I needed to get up to Sonoma Raceway. Breaking down out of town frequently instills fear of being "taken" due to the urgency of the situation. Edwin's was very very fair in price. If I lived in the area I would make Edwin's my go-to mechanic.

We had an emergency oil leak while driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco, about two hours outside of SF. We were not going to make it. We put in 5 quarts of oil just to keep the car going and barely made it to a Valvoline, but they couldn't fix the issue. At that point, we were stressed, running out of options, and preparing to tow the car more than 120 miles from Los Baños. By the grace of God, my partner found Precision Emissions Auto Repair. He called, and they told us to come in. On a Sunday, when we had been told no one was open, that alone felt like a miracle. We pulled in with oil still leaking, and from the moment we arrived, they took care of us. Steven, Joseph, and Jesse were kind, calm, and incredibly professional. They quickly diagnosed the issue as a damaged VVT-i oil line hose and got to work right away. What really stood out was how much they cared. They were supposed to close at 4 PM, but stayed more than two hours late just to make sure our car was safe and we could get back on the road. That meant a lot to us. They also made sure we were okay while we waited. They brought us inside, let us sit in the AC on a hot day, and even offered water and snacks. It may seem small, but in that moment it meant everything. Coming from LA and SF, we can honestly say this was the best service we've ever received. The fact that they showed up for us like this on a busy Sunday made it even more special. If you're anywhere nearby and need a mechanic you can trust, this is the place. Good people, great work, and genuine care. We're truly grateful.

Had my 2015 Audi brought in for repairs. Check engine light on had them test and came back I had an…read moreevap leak with gas tank was causing misfires. Paid to have gas take changed and light was still on. Was told I needed new coils and fuel injectors along with manifold. Made all suggested repairs and car still had misfires and now manifold error. Took back for another round of repair diagnostic said that had low compression on two cylinders they suggest new engine. So after paying of $6000 on car repairs to be told that I now need a new engine. I was very disappointed in the outcome of waisted time and money. I don't believe German cars are their strength so I would suggest not allowing them to service the car beyond an oil change.
