Even though there were only 2-3 cars ahead of me, the wait was about 20-25 minutes, which was fine. However, once my car was pulled in, the experience went downhill. The technician seemed to be extra critical simply because my car is a sports car. He began complaining about the catalytic converter, claiming it was not original. I explained that it is original and even told him I have the receipt from the last time this exact shop smogged the car. Despite that, he insisted it wasn't original and refused to complete the smog. The most frustrating part is that I took my car literally two minutes up the road, and it passed with no issues at all. I understand smog regulations are strict, but consistency and professionalism matter. If another licensed shop can pass the car immediately with no problem, something isn't adding up here. Based on this experience, I won't be coming back.

The tow driver gave high regards to Teedeeus Auto, been around for over 50 years. Richard said they were pretty busy, and could get started the next day. It was a large shop with 8 work bays and I felt comfortable leaving the truck there overnight with the fenced in yard. Richard dropped us off at a car rental place, thinking we may have to drive home and pick the truck up in a few days. After getting the rental, run some errands, we went back and they were starting to work on it. The idler bearing stopped spinning finally tearing apart the belt. Amazing service! My…read moreson was driving to So. Cal to spend a week with his brother before the brother got married. Just a carefree week of bachelor brothers hanging out. He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family. Had my 2015 Audi brought in for repairs. Check engine light on had them test and came back I had an…read moreevap leak with gas tank was causing misfires. Paid to have gas take changed and light was still on. Was told I needed new coils and fuel injectors along with manifold. Made all suggested repairs and car still had misfires and now manifold error. Took back for another round of repair diagnostic said that had low compression on two cylinders they suggest new engine. So after paying of $6000 on car repairs to be told that I now need a new engine. I was very disappointed in the outcome of waisted time and money. I don't believe German cars are their strength so I would suggest not allowing them to service the car beyond an oil change.
