Broke down on interstate 5, alternator went out. Looked up Depot Garage in Gustine called and got Aaron on the phone told him our problem about our E 150 Conversion Van. He ordered the parts and when towed bring it in and they would repair our Van for us. He said it would take about an hour. As soon a we got there they put in in the garage and went right to work. We got there 2 and a half hours after our first call. If there are Super Heroes Aaron and all the crew are definately them. We truly appreciate how you saved our small vacation to Monterey. Starting with I don't leave reviews often but Oh my gosh talk about angels. We were on a trip from Los Angeles area up to Bodega Bay for my niece's wedding and after a seemingly normal lunch stop at Andersons Pea Soup in Santa Nella my husband's truck wouldn't start. We got a jump start and went straight to the O'Reileys in Gustine (10miles away) we bought the new batteries for the truck (his takes 2) the employee and my husband quickly switched out the old for the new but it still wouldn't start so they suggested the mechanics across the street Depot Garage. Now mind you by this time it was after 3:30pm on a Friday on a Holiday weekend. But Jose the owner came over and looked at the truck and him and my husband believed it to be the starter. At first Jose was concerned about the time and holiday about getting someone to come in and help. He was already with a full shop. But being a family man himself he didn't want to leave my husband stranded with his wife and 2 daughters. So they got the truck to his shop and made us comfortable in his waiting room. And with the starter in hand that my husband bought at O'Reileys he and Bernardo proceeded to fix our truck! I cant even express how grateful I am to know there are still great people in this world that can help out in such crazy situations as ours was. I would recommend this business time and time again. To bad we don't live local cause trustworthy mechanics can seem hard to find we would use Depot Garage Gustine again and again!! Such angels got us back on the road by 4:36pm to my niece's wedding and were honest and did NOT try to take advantage and overcharge. GREAT Shop and mechanics!! read more

Thank you to Joey at Depot garage! We were on a long trip from Tahoe to our home on central California today when we realized something had fallen from under our car and dragging along. I called him up (we were in the middle of nowhere) after googling auto repairs and he said to bring the car in. After a slow drive there he put it on the lift and saw what it was. He removed the piece(s) that were useless and fixed the problem!! He stopped what he was working on to help us and we couldn't have been more grateful because we still had a two hour drive. Doesn't even deserve a star it was the worst service ever!! Customers beware!!! hubby and me took our truck here payed 630 dollars for a cap converter replacement job, only to still have the same problem and to top it off had just purchased a new bottle of Giorgio Armani aqua de gio we left it inside the truck console not thinking anything trusted the owner jose he said to leave it overnight so he could check it out and work on it but he didn't instead when we picked up our truck it had the same problem and the Cologne was gone we didn't discover it until we arrived home but it was in the center console so they litteraly took it out and stole from us we are never going there again huge rip off go to a better place if your in the Gustine area read more

They do great work at reasonable prices. My only complaint is that I have to be very proactive on the status of my car. Don't expect a phone call when it's done or any updates. Great people. I had radiator problems at the John Errerca rest area. They waited after hours to fix my vehicle.

Depot garage has helped me out of a bind twice in 2 months. they were able to replace my alternator without an appointment so I could continue on a camping trip with my son. a second time my a/c went out in another vehicle. I called to see if I could bring it in right away and they got me in and fixed in only an hour and half. I have not ever had an auto repair shop be able to work on my vehicle immediately. Very nice people, they will also LIE to your face. They rebuilt my transmission. Only took 3 weeks and they never called me for an update, I always had to call them. Then a couple months later, I had a transmission leak. Took it back, they "fixed it" AND charged me for it when it should've never leaked in the first place. And now here I am, months later with the same leak. I wouldn't give them a penny or your time. They obviously don't care about returning customers..... read more

Had radiator problems with my truck while on vacation. Jose and his shop kept on it til they found the problem. I do not live nearby and knowing I needed the truck for a trip, Jose dropped it off at my house after hours! Very nice to work with and so are the other staff members. I was genuinely surprised and pleased to have Depot Garage look at my 2012 Jeep Liberty. First time they looked at it I was coming home from the Bay Area and it started running real bad for no apparent reason. I was on the Pacheco pass when it started to shake and rattle around. I was fortunate that the car started after the few stops I had to make before getting to Gustine, where it finally gave out. Depot Garage towed it to their shop in the morning and proceeded to look at it. Jose called and suggested I take it to the dealer because the problem should be covered by the manufacturer's warranty, ( a broken valve spring). No charge for the tow or diagnostics. I took it to the dealer and sure enough, it was covered. Then, not too long later while on vacation the car started to act up again. At this point I have about 63,000 miles on it, still not very much. I limp it into Depot Garage again and they diagnose it and made a computer adjustment to it. They had it in their shop for a couple of mornings, waiting for the computer equipment to get back to their shop from a previous customer. Next day they adjusted the computer or reprogramed it and told me to drive it around a couple of days, no charge again. Jose, didn't feel like he had really done anything. Well it runs just fine now and maybe as good as it did when we first bought it. I can't say how much I appreciate the integrity and service I received from Depot Garage in Gustine. Now the way I feel about Jeep and my Liberty in particular is another issue. read more
