STOP!!!! MUST KNOW!!! I serviced my vehicle with Santos Ford because of an engine light. The diagnosis was a bad turbo charger solenoid. They repaired it, claimed item is not covered under warranty. I paid the fee. I drive 10 miles down the road and my engine light came on again. They took the car back and claimed it was a loose hose. This could have been avoided if the mechanic had test drove the vehicle. Documentation proves he did not test drive the vehicle. Mileage going in and out of service are exactly the same. A few days later my undercarriage cover fell out on the road. I had to run across a busy street to get it of the road!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!! I new this was there fault as well because they were the last ones to service me car and the undercarriage had to be removed to access the turbo charger. They took the vehicle back and replaced it with a new one. Weeks later I take me car to another ford dealer to service my car for a engine light. Mean while I had them look into my warranty. They ran the part number in the warranty system and found it is 100% covered parts and labor. I contacted the owner of Santos Ford. He did not like my line of questioning as to why I was charged for warranty service. He gave excuses and never owned up to it. He eventually got made, cursed me out and hung up on me. I complained to ford corporate. So far it has been over 2 weeks since my first complaint with the owner. I have not been reimbursed for the service charge. My RV steering motor went out. Santos Ford does not normally work on RV's, but service took pity on me and since the "truck" was still under warranty they said they would look at it. Since this was a truck issue and not an RV issue they were able to fix it and Ford picked up the bill. Since this was a new truck, parts were not readily available but they were able to get them and install with great expertise. Great service. read more

I bought a 2016 Focus RS from Santos Ford. Mr. King was my salesman. He was relaxed and did not pressure me into anything. Once my credit was processed, the paper work went smoothly. Overall this place isnt a bad place to buy from. I would give this place 5 stars but, they suffer a problem. A lack of mechanics to work on your car. My car has been in the shop for a total of 3 weeks as of tomorrow. Santos Ford has spent about 3 weeks hunting down a part for my car. Now that they have the part, they dont have anyone to work on my car until next week. I have the urge to give Santos Ford 3 stars, but they have provided me a nice rental car. That's a plus . The employees have been putting up with my frustration with professionalism. My frustration: I've owned my car for about 7 weeks. 3 of those weeks have been back with Ford. I had the best possible experience here - I was alone driving from San Diego to Northern CA with my French Bulldog in the front and a truck full of luggage / furniture in the back, when my 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid stopped running in the middle of a highway in central CA during a 105 degree heat wave. I have owned my car for 5 years and have driven this round trip many times in the heat without problems. I called AAA and they were great in towing me quickly / checking out my car but they couldn't figure out the issue. I was about 4 hours from home in both directions. I was taken to the only auto repair shop open at the time. They ran diagnostics but everything was running normally / servicing up to date. They reset my system, gave me some guidance with AC and said I was good to go so long as I took it easy. I was quickly back in the same situation but this time luckily nearby the Santos Ford location. I was pretty panicked but the Ford team was super calm and friendly when I arrived, they were quick to get to my car and figured out / resolved the issue within the hour I arrived. The mechanic pulled up my car to show me exactly where the issue was stemming from and explained how to prevent it from happening again on my drive home or during future long hauls in excessive heat. I am now safely driving home and my car is running great. I would have saved hundreds had I taken my car straight here before an auto repair shop so hopefully this will encourage others to get here with their Ford first. Thank you!! read more

Sad to say Santos Ford is going downhill. This experience was the worstI have had with a dealership. They used pretty good this text is the last time. First I get there the car I am interested in get sold from underneath me by the owners grandson named Junior. My sales man had the keys and handed them over because his client wanted it. So Junior tried to make it right only 12.5 and 245 a month. Great go in today to sign paperwork changed to 21 and 300 a month. That was dirty but since they are the only dealership they can what they want Next will from out of town. Sad to say 12 days later they still do not know what is going on. I'd highly recommend these guys to anyone needing service done on their car! They really went the extra mile for me. The alternator on my Honda Accord gave out 5 hours into a road trip from the Inland Empire to Portland, OR. We got towed to Santos Ford where Martin was able to squeeze us in, despite it being a really busy day, and they almost got us out the door the same day. The only reason we weren't back on the road by the end of the day is that their supplier shipped them the wrong part. The next day they got us all squared up and we were back on the road. Roughly 2 hours later the car died, so we had the car picked up and taken to the towing company's lot (since it was Friday evening and everything was closed). Long story short, there was a defect in the alternator the manufacturer had sent them, so Santos Ford sent out a tow truck to pick my car back up and bring it back to them so they could replace it at no cost to me. Since the car died on a weekend, we ended up just getting a rental car and driving back home to the Inland Empire. Once my car had been repaired, they drove it down to me on a tow truck (a 5+ hour drive!) at no cost to me. They went completely above and beyond. If I lived closer, I'd have all of my cars serviced at Santos Ford. read more

Mike and Jeff in the service department really did a great job trying to get the cruise control working in my van. I had seen it done on YouTube and they tried to make it work in the real world, which is more than another dealership was willing to do. When it didn't work Jeff jumped up and ran to service to see if there was anything that could be done. I'm so used to people just saying "it's not our problem" and that's that. Most of all Jeff's professionalism and great customer service helped me deal with my financial loss and disappointment. Mike Nolan, service advisor, listened to us tell him our problem and he said it was probably the filter. Mike Nolan in Service and Benny in Sales provided excellent customer service when our car unexpectedly died in Carmel on Saturday of the Memorial holiday weekend. A week before this happened, our car experienced a similar issue however I was able to start it back up no problem. I ended up calling a local dealer in Merced that had repaired our car before and scheduled to take it in for them to check out. When my husband dropped off the car, he had mentioned he believed the problem was the fuel pump module, which had a recall on this particular part for the year of our car. They were unable to find anything and charged us a $90 diagnostic fee. Fast forward a week later, fuel pump module dies, car is towed to Los Banos from Carmel thanks to AAA. Unfortunately we had to rent a car in Carmel to get home Saturday. On Tuesday when the service department came in, Mike Nolan took my car and expedited the diagnostic and repair even though they were busy that first day back from the holiday. Fortunately they had the part in stock and the repair was covered under our extended warranty. We were able to pick the car up Tuesday afternoon and have not had any problems. To top off our excellent customer service experience, Mike was able to include our car rental in our warranty claim, so we were reimbursed for that expense as well. Based on my experience with the Santos Ford Service Dept, I would highly recommend this dealership. PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!!!! I took my truck there last month for oil change and they recommended new breaks right after they finished oil change and breaks that cost $800 they said i have a new oil leak! Ok great didnt have a oil leak before. I had to go there a second time one month later because my breaks were grinding needed another oil change and a light icon came on i drop it off for 8hrs so i pick it up, all they did was oil change and they turned on another light icon which is abs break light icon which they charged me for on my third visit i told them why is there a abs light on now before leaving and the guy mike said oh it will be on for a while.. My third visit and third day of taking work off i drop off truck for 8hrs again they ignore the grinding wheel and replace the two icon sensors. I pay $706 and 15mins of driving down the road both lights come on again. Im not a mechanic im honestly very scared to go to them and let them touch my truck again. If the light icon comes on its telling you theres a issue with the breaks which i believe they gave me new breaks on old rotors. They are way to busy to fix peoples cars the right way. They lost my business i bought the truck from them and was about to get a utility truck next month from them and went to them every month for the past 3yrs until now. Its been a nightmare im so stressed out and depressed over this they got me good dont let it happen to you. Go to wal mart instead atleast they will honor there work. When someone installs breaks badly which is very dangerous i drive to the bay area everyday, dont assume its a sensor and turn on more sensors and charge them for it. Atleast test drive my truck instead resetting the computer so the lights go off and say its fixed. Don in finance was straight forward and helpful in fitting the warranty and gap in our budget. Profit isn't a four letter word. Profit is everywhere, in every transaction. If people (possibly you, the reader) realize SOMEONE is profiting off you somewhere (ie pg&e, the state, your mortgage lender, ATM withdrawals, the gas station, grocery store...) in every transaction we make, things can go a lot smoother. New to the area and my 5.0 Mustang was having some problems. I made a appointment to have to looked it. The service guy, i think his name was Micheal, was friendly and i explained to him the problems with the car. They looked at it pretty fast and explained it was leaking oil from a gasket and it would be covered under warranty, i also got a oil change. Oil change was pretty cheap and they fixed the car pretty fast. I'll probably keep coming back here to get the oil changes since its pretty much the same prices as any other place. A+ read more

I took my car in for it's first service and I was one of those annoying customers that come along every now and then. Anyway, I was helped personally by the service manager himself, Marion Santos. He was accommodating, friendly, and never made me feel like I was being unreasonable in my requests. He was patient and very professional. The other techs, Mike and Martinez(?), were also helpful and friendly. I was in and out in no time at all, didn't even need an appointment. I had a couple of little things he fixed while I was there and told me I could bring it in the next day for one other little fix when body repair guy Ceasar could look at it. All at no extra charges. I just had a great experience dealing with santos ford, especially from mike in service & cesar in the body shop. I went in needing a new fog light, remote key & some cosmetic fixing of the door panel of my explorer. I had already gotten an estimate from another ford dealer & it was very pricey. When i came here and dealt with mike & cesar they went above & beyond to really check what i needed. Come to find out, i didnt need the whole assembly for the fog light ( which saved me money) & the key/remote which had been washed in the washing machine accually still worked but only needed a battery ( which also saved me money) & the cosmetic repair was done free of charge. I greatly appreciate these two being very honest & doing there jobs exceptionally well. I hope the manager see's this because you two need to be commended on your great work. Thanks agian. read more

***RESPONSE*** Unfortunately, even the response from santos Ford is untruthful. Fortunately however, other readers can see that those at Santos Ford can and have no problem denying claims made against them in other "1 star" reviews (which only confirms the level of unprofessionalism utilized by Santos Ford of Los Banos). My review was extremely accurate, hence it's length. We have all documents, including the one where Santos Ford tried to readjust (scribbled over) the dollar amount they claimed to paid off on the 2014 Focus. Yes, I also have a certified copy from the bank stating the true amount paid! Santos Ford was indeed aware of the condition of the 2014 Focus and it's negative equity, which was being rolled over to the new loan. We gave Santos Ford plenty of opportunity to make the deal right. Santos Ford in Los Banos was forcing us to take an unreliable, damaged and unsafe vehicle that was no better than the one we were trading in and taking a loss on. As Santos Ford had admitted, they did have to send a tow truck (!!!of course at their own expense!!!) to pick up their vehicle that failed to start. Despite our poor experience, we did ask if the "Santos Family" would find us a different vehicle, one that was reliable, so that we may still give our business to them. Instead, they gave us an ultimatum "take it or leave it". We did decide at that point to take our business to the "competitors" as anyone would have done, considering all that Santos Ford had put us through. The "competitors" were able to put my fiance into a cleaner, safer, more reliable car of the same year, make and model for $3,000.00 less. Oh, did I mention it also had 2000 fewer miles AND the "competitors" threw in free oil changes for life. The "competitors" were able to overcome all that Santos Ford was unable to. I left my car there that day they call me a few hrs back telling me they didn't find anything . We brought in our car for what we thought would be a minor repair.....change a spark plug. They told us they wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday even though we were there early Friday afternoon. After telling us this we were told it would take 5 hours of labor to fix it which cost $45 an hour making it all together about $550......to fix a spark plug that came out!!!!! Knowing we would have no there option they told us we could rent a car from inside their office at the Hertz counter. We went online to check the price n were able to make a reservation at the price of $23. A day for an economy car. We made sure we had the conformation number before going up to the Hertz counter. When Cecelia(Lopez) came to help she didn't help much at all. She asked if we had a reservation which we did n then told us they only had 1 full size n 1 larger car available and it would start at at least $60 a day.....big difference from what we already had reserved! Costing about $240 to rent a car. Cecelia didn't even bother to look up our reservation she just kinda brushed us off and didn't care to help. She was very rude n made us feel like we were bothering her. I would never recommend coming her to rent or repair a car! read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I don't review much, only if it's really bad or really great... this is a case of really bad. Took my work truck in because my truck wouldn't start without a jump and the ABS and check engine lights were on. Didn't hear a word from them for a week and I only heard anything because I called. They hadn't even started it. I was told it would be another day. A week and a half later, after being told every day it would be ready at the end of the day, I went to pick up my truck. So I am now writing this review as I sit and wait for my truck to be finished. I called 20 minutes ago and was told it was done. Now it's 15 more minutes. This place is dysfunctional, unorganized, incompetent and I'm confident the only reason they stay in business is because they are the only place in town. Brought my car in to get serviced and the gentlemen said that there was a back order for the part I needed. He said it would only take a couple weeks to come in and he would call when the part came. So I asked him if it would be safe to continue driving and he assured me it would be fine. 2 weeks has passed and still no call. I drove to the Bay Area and while I was there my car stalled in the middle of a busy intersection. I was luckily able to start the car up again and move it forward. Since I was already in San Jose , I decided to have my car serviced at Capitol Ford where they were able to fix the problem and had my car back in 2 days. A month later Santos Ford calls and says the part is ready...really??? I will never get my car serviced there again . read more
