This place is so scandalous! Went in to have my alternator replaced and when Ramos drove our car out of the garage and went under the hood to test the car out on his machine, all the sudden out of nowhere the radiator water came gushing out. This man is SO SCANDALOUS! He comes really nice but behind your back he is a criminal who purposely damages vehicles so that he can make more money. Why do I know this because my husband is a certified mechanic and when we were on our road trip our alternator went out, and out of desperation we were stuck in the middle of no where and needed our alternator to be fixed so we could get back on the road. While we were waiting for Ramos to fix the alternator we recorded the process because as they say, mechanics can sometimes be scandalous. Yes they can and not knowing this shop or the man working on our car seemed fit to record the process in case anything shady went down. And wouldn't you know it, all the sudden Ramos the owner and asshole that was working on our car was shown on camera him taking a little flat head screw driver and puncturing our fully working radiator under the hood. So needless to say this man and all these reviews are bs this mechanic shop is a scam! He works like a con artist and steals money from good people, but probably never realized that he actually messed with the wrong people because we're not letting this slide. I will be starting a lawsuit for the damage he did to my Honda pilot i.e. new dents on the hood and side panel, radiator damage, refurbished alternator that he said was brand new, God only knows now what else he's done to our car but having a husband who's a master mechanic at a dealership hours away from this shop puts my mind at ease that this guy and his shop will be my mission to close down and get the entire amount we had to fork out for his premeditated destruction done to our car. My family and I were on our way to Socal and needed to rent a vehicle for three days, if Ramos had not punctured our radiator we would have not had to be put out in away way. But Ramos went above and beyond to make a stupid decision and being greedy by trying to make more money for himself. That's some dirty money Ramos! And I'm not the stupid prey you think I am. So here's the pic of the stab he made to our radiator, ide stay far away from this place, that's if it's open Ling enough for thel to still conduct scandalous business like they do.

Stayed late and saved my road trip! Good price and great accommodations! Stayed almost 2 hours after his closing time to get the job done!

Amazing service! My…read moreson was driving to So. Cal to spend a week with his brother before the brother got married. Just a carefree week of bachelor brothers hanging out. He was supposed to drive there on Saturday and get to So. Cal before dark. However, he left after dark. He passed Los Banos (Route 33 exit) close to midnight and his engine started running really rough and it was losing power. He limped to the next exit, at less than 25 mph, turn around, and come back to Los Banos. We picked him up around 1:30 and got back home at 3AM. At 8AM (Easter morning), we started calling mechanics in Los Banos. Of course, we used Yelp and sorted by ratings. We went down the list and left messages for everyone. We just prayed that someone would be willing to work on a holiday. Jesse was the only one who answered the phone. We explained our predicament. He agreed to help if we could get there by 10. He had a family picnic planned. My son's car was parked about 2 miles from Jesse's shop. We were able to get it running and over to the shop before 10AM. Jesse found the problem, was able to obtain the necessary parts, and had the car fixed in about 3 hours. He charged a very reasonable amount. My son made it to So. Cal before dark (a day late), and Jesse still got to spend the rest of the day with his family. If anyone I know ever needs a good mechanic in the Los Banos area, I would highly recommend Jesse and Advanced Service & Repair. Thank you, Jesse. God bless you.

He has shown more generosity and kindness than I could have asked for. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone to work on their car! He is genuinely a great guy. If I could give the negative stars, I would. I want to share my experience so no one else would…read moremake the mistake of trusting this "auto shop" Unless you're just looking for a quick tire change, I would not go to these people with any of your car issues. Even if you are in need of roadside assistance, I would look for a more honest place of work. Long story short is that I was taken advantage of as a young woman who doesn't know much about cars. They took my money after supposedly "fixing" my car and sent me back on the road to only break down stranded on the I-5. They wasted my time and stole my money. I just wished if they knew they couldn't do the fix, that they had stopped instead of proceeding forward with this dangerous fix. Full story below. I was desperate on a Sunday looking for a shop that had parts to fix my car when I got stranded on the I-5 heading South. Luckily, I was able to pull off to a nearby gas station. Out of all the roadside assistance places that were open nearby, Nixons was the inly one that picked up. They sent some people out to help me ( Aaron Avila and Chris something). My issue was pretty simple to fix if they had the part because it was in an easy access location at the front of my car (oil cooler return line bursted and needed to be replaced). They said they could fix it, went off to get the part, and came back with "parts". I was skeptical (but I'm not a car expert), but they had hoses that said would work for the replacement and proceeded for the next 3 hours trying to finagle the hose into the right place. I asked them a few times if it was the right part, if it was a quick fix, if I'd be able to continue driving the rest of my 4 hour trip down to LA, or if i needed to still take it to another auto shop after to get it checked, and Aaron (the guy in charge) kept presenting that this fix would be no problem and their hose would be able to handle the pressure and temperature for engine oil. I should've called their bluff. At the end, when they finally were able to get their makeshift hose onto my car without the oil leaking out, they asked for payment and went off their merry way. They started working on my car at 4:20ish and finished around 7 (after sunset). I pulled out of the gas station parking lot and got back onto the interstate only to break down 1.5 down the road. I ended up getting towed and having to abandon my car at another autoshop for it to get fixed. Nixon's is negligent about their work, endangered me by sending me off with a defective car, were dishonest about their work, and (after some research out of anger) ARE NOT A LICENSED BUSINESS OR REGISTERED WITH THE BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR. I tried calling them to find a compromise for their crappy job, and they are unresponsive. I know I have grounds to sue and am going to report them to the city for illegal operation. I have photos of those who worked on my car and recording of my conversation with Aaron.
