Upon reaching the area in the store where the veterinarian was administering vaccinations, the vet and two staff she'd brought with her suddenly started chasing a 'flea' that 'jumped' off my dog to a table that was ten feet away. One of the assistants quickly ran to said table with a spray bottle and sprayed onto the table. My dog doesn't have fleas. If that were the case, I'd notice fleas in my home and I'd be bitten myself. This was a ploy to get me to pay $100 or more to get flea treatment from the vet and it was unethical AF. Rather than pay the vet for treatment, I bought a product in the store...and I'm kicking myself for doing so. Still no fleas in my home.

The staff and owner are all three very knowledgeable and friendly and will talk your ear off about different solutions to any problems you might have. The store is a little difficult to find. For some reason they went with a sign that no one can read while driving up the road. What you do is go north on Freya and take a right into a small business park just after E Alki Ave. You'll see a friendly "open" sign as you drive in the park. That's the place. Unfortunately he has continued to have issues but she recommended GPH testing which we did and she has been helping interpret these and recommend foods. Ironically, the food that will work for him is the very first one we tried with her recommendation. We will go back to this and continue to work with her. The store is always well maintained. If you get food from them that your pet does not do well with, they will refund and help choose another. They have been extremely helpful!

I have been a very frequent customer to this location. I recently went back after the CDC said…read morevaccinated individuals no longer need to wear a mask. I told the cashier that I was vaccinated and she proceeded to tell me that I still had to wear a mask "for the safety of others" to which I said "I'm vaccinated. Have you read any of the statistics or publications related to vaccinated individuals?". She had no answer but as I left she made the snarky comment of "Enjoy your vaccine". I will never go back to this location and called the owner a few days later to cancel my account with him. He said he was doing it because they have a right to enforce a mask mandate. I told him, well, I have a right to never shop here again. If Wild Birds Unlimited cares about their brand, they need to ensure their locations abide by CDC guidelines as strictly as they did at the beginning of the pandemic when the masks started. This and other establishments were very quick to enforce the CDC mask mandate but now, I suppose, they can't "follow the science" because their politics doesn't allow it. Any establishment still enforcing a mask mandate is doing so for purely political means, not factual and scientific ones.
