I've never seen the two registers/lines they have here operating any time I've come here. As a result, I've always been frustrated with how slow they are. Most people arrive just to drop off packages and only require a scanning, but because they only have 1 worker/register open, especially during rush hour (lunch and after standard work times), the line builds up and moves SO slow. That said, the workers here have always been friendly and it never is their fault for this--it's a management/ownership problem. With the actual UPS-owned location closed out by the airport, do you really have any other choice other than this place? No. So I recommend coming here during the early or mid morning if you can when there's less of a crowd/line. read more

Not helpful at all I had a saw blade to return from a chain saw I wrapped it in plastic and sealed it up with clear tape. BTW the chain was in the factory box wrapped inside. I received the bar and chain in a very large box from amazon with other products the box was deposed of He would not take it he said It has to be in a box to return. Very poor customer service. I have not yet found a 30 inch box but I will and I will not forget my experience. read more

Just had a wild experience at the UPS store in Walla Walla. The parking lot was crazy, all of the spots were full and cars were backing into each other. To avoid getting hit, I pulled into the loading zone, left the engine running and sprinted into the store to drop a package and run. Already labeled, ready to go. An employee started yelling and told me she wouldn't accept my package until I moved my car. I tried to explain the parking problem and set the package down--she KICKED IT and told me that if I left it she would throw it in the trash. What in the world? My wife was not aware the UPS no longer packaged Amazon returns. She brought in a small box that was not taped shut and the man at the counter refused to take it. He would not put a strip of tape on top of the box, but said he would sell her a $5.95 roll of tape so she could do it. read more

I needed guidance on shipping an item and was told "I don't know, look it up." I didn't seal package as I wasn't sure if a receipt needed to be inside. Was told they don't provide tape. Fair enough. I bought some off the wall. As I struggled with getting tape started, I stepped to the side to allow "ready" customers to go ahead. The red haired girl behind the counter laughed and said "yeah, that stuff is hard to work with." Then stood against the wall and watched. A young gentleman came to the rescue, answered my questions and helped tape the box. He is the only reason this store gets a star at all. I know I wasn't prepared. I had questions. I have never felt compelled to write a review until now. I have never dealt with someone as rude as the owner of the store. Sergio probably got the business from his family. I can't imagine anyone who was so clueless as to how to treat one's customers came by it on his own. I asked for a piece of tape for my box. He said they don't do that for people. I let him know that I care for my mother who has dementia and can only get out to run errands on rare occasion. I asked if he could make an exception and this nasty excuse of a human being told me he wasn't going to give it to me because of my sense of entitlement. Unbelievable. The experience at this UPS store in Walla Walla is unbelievable, just look at all the reviews, it's hard to get that many negatives. I'm from LA and all the UPS stores are very accommodating and professional, disgusting business ethics for Walla Walla. I needed 1, 18" piece of tape for my box and they refused, told me to buy a roll from their stand. The young girl was rude and says, this is a business, wow. This is a customer service-related rating for this particular location, not a commentary on UPS in general. It is sad to me that a business owner will not share 6" of tape with a customer whose box isn't quite shut, requiring the customer to pay $5 for a new roll of tape...when there is tape available 2 feet away. This isn't about the money...$5 isn't that big of a deal...it was about the visible pleasure the business owner was taking in sharing this "policy" with me and how detrimental it would be if he had to absorb the overwhelming cost of both the cost of the tape and the man hours associated with that 2-foot, 6" transaction. This is a sad, and increasingly common commentary on our disappointing society, and this business owner joyfully embodied that decline. The smiles on his face (standing in an empty store after I left) clearly displayed the pleasure and awareness he had following our interaction, where I clearly informed him how sad his position was. 5 stars for USPS, FedEx...UPS Store...nah. I have had two unpleasant experiences at this UPS with unfriendly and quite rude customer service. It would be nice if we had another option for returning Amazon items on this end of town. I have had some very nice people helping my here in the past (ladies primarily) but the man who appears to manage and another male employee were very rude. Othe man and told me (as I arrived at 8 am) that he guessed he needed to lock the door after he came in because I went in once the door was opened (not knowing he wanted me to wait outside). Today I had another experience with another young man in there. Friendly customer service would sure be appreciated. They appear to usually be quite busy, if there was any competition I would imagine they would lose a lot of business. A little customer service training - going the extra mile for your customers - would be a benefit for the management of this UPS store. I sure don't see many positive reviews on here when I went to see how to leave a review. Very sad. ZERO ZERO ZERO!!! The customer service is absolutely the worst here in Walla Walla . This store needs to be shut down. UPS should hang their heads in shame to have such rude customer service. This is what UPS customer's deal with to utilize UPS. Needed a UPS Ground Envelope asked for one was rudely told they didn't exist. I said I have gotten them before I don't understand. I pay for a bubble white envelope and explain I need this in Vancouver Wa. on Monday. Agent laughs and says nope not gonna happen. I told him is attitude was unappreciated and he should provide customer service. I go to leave and he starts spouting off about my package not being worth his time and that it will not get where it needs to go. I walked back into the store and ordered him to return my envelope and took it to UPS at the Airport. Their customer service told me that they receive daily complaints of Sergio and his employees horrible service. There are far better UPS stores in the Tri Cities. Very, very disappointing experience. Two customers at counter. Two more waiting at (currently) acceptable distance. Both waiting customers are wearing masks. One customer being helped decides to (loudly) claim "I can't believe they're not making you wear a mask behind that counter." Employee looking over at the two mask-wearing customers, states "I'm glad I don't have to -- I've been working for weeks without a mask." Customer (tauntingly), states, "Ya, masks are stupid!" My review keeps getting silenced on google from this owner. For what reason. THIS IS A TRUE AND RELEVANT ENCOUNTER. I am a women owned small business out of Waitsburg, WA. I had a computer to ship back, and two retail items all pre-labeled and just in need to be dropped off. After, leaving my office in Waitsburg and picking up my 15 month old from childcare I began my trek to Walla Walla specifically to ship these items. It was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit out and smoky. It was 8-3-21. I called ahead to ask this store how they could help me with my packages once I got there. My child has since fallen asleep in her car seat and I had sprained my wrist. I could not carry my child + packages together. I spoke with some guy (who turned out to be the owner) explained that I was looking specifically for a staff member to help me get my items out of my car. He explained that they were very busy and they could not help but I could drop my packages off. I said that sounded really stupid as I just needed a HAND. "No one here is willing to help a mother out?" He hung up on me. I continued to drive into Walla Walla from Waitsburg. I called the UPS customer service number on my way and asked them to explain to me the policy as I genuinely just needed a HAND with my three packages due to my constraints. The rep took my information and number and said someone would call me from that store. No one called. I showed up there. I asked on of the two women in the font to help me with my packages and explained I called earlier and some dude hung up on me. I just needed a HAND! Then this dude fly around the corner from the back and says to me that no one in their store will accommodate an entitled personality such as mine and I exhibited the utmost entitlement when I called making my absurd request. Therefore, he will not serve me. He told me-while I'm standing in the store with my child in her car seat-that I need to leave or he is calling the police. I told him I would not leave. Meanwhile three customers standing there listening not once offered to help me get my packages from my car. Like what is this world coming to!? Where is the HUMANITY? Thankfully, a gentleman walked in and I asked if he would be willing to help with my packages. He obliged. I got to the front of the line and asked the other female associate why this was so absurd and if anyone was going to acknowledge how absurd this all is. She looked up at me and said, "Are you going to stop talking?" And I said, "Of course not, this is absurd and I'm trying to understand why this is such an issue?" She then replied, " I'm not going to scan your packages if you don't stop taking." Then, the owner came back around and said, "Cancel everything we are not accepting her packages!" He cancelled my packages and told me to go somewhere else. I refused and asked if he called the police yet to which he said he didn't but now he was going to. The police came, I told my story. They asked him his side. He said that what I said was accurate. They looked at him like dumbfounded and asked why he won't take the packages. He insisted that because he is the owner he can refuse service to anyone and he is refusing to serve me because I am "entitled." The police continued to reason with him and he eventually rescinded. Then the police gave my daughter a sticker and told me that I am not allowed to go into that store for 2 years because the owner claims I was trespassing. After the fact, I consider that the UPS service line I called filed a complaint that went directly to him; therefore was his premise for calling me "privileged." I AM A THIRD GENERATION MEXICAN-INDIAN AMERICAN. FIRST IN MY FAMILY YO GRADUATE WITH A PROFESSIONAL DEGREE. WORKING MOTHER AND FEMALE SMALL BUSINESS OWNER. Sadly, this store doesn't even deserve one star. I stopped by to drop off a prepaid return to Verizon. I had an email detailing instructions and a pre-printed label that said the store would accept the package with the label upon drop off and that's it. I was first told that she could not accept it because she had never done this before and did not know how to do it. Then I offered to package it up myself (and proceeded to spend $15+ on materials to do so) and was told to take the materials outside and package it due to the noise of the tape. When I did not do that I was then told that they would not accept the package because I did not tape it up outside. There is no way to reach a manager or owner. This place sucks!!!!! Use the post office or drive to the Tri-Cities.... It's simply not worth it to put up with such idiocy. read more

I moved here last year and needed to get a letter notarized and the UPS Store website shows that's 1 of the services they offer at this location. The owner is the only person working here that is a notary and apparently he only provides that service for a couple of hours a day on certain days of the week by appointment only. I was the only person in the store and it should have only taken a couple of minutes but he proceeded to tell me in his own wonderful way how busy he was and that I would need to come back another time after I made an appointment with him. I went down the street to Postal Annex where I discovered they have multiple notaries and were very pleasant to work with. You can also ship/mail your UPS, FedEx and USPS items here so why go to the UPS Store? read more

This place tried to make me pay twice to ship a package because of a mistake that THEY made! They tried to void the original charge from their accounts and couldn't, and then told me that since their computer wouldn't let them void the original charge that I would have to pay again!
