As an example, stopped by today to mail two packages, have passport photos taken, and keys made - all completed in less than 10 minutes and with their usual positive and polite customer service. Absolutely the worst customer service. Ever since the new owners took over it has been an unpleasant visit with the current employees and male owner, who is extremely rude. I dropped off 2 packages for DHL and was told they could not scan it in as received even after all other packages I have dropped were scanned showing they had received them unless they made the label. The person I spoke to told me they had never done it in all the 6 years she has been there. I may have been seen as argumentative but I was just curious why it has been done before then suddenly couldn't. read more

Immensely disappointed to have had my first completely lost, unrecovered piece of mail sent from this facility to never receive it. I had my drivers license being sent to me after years of waiting for the moment. My license was properly addressed and sealed in an envelope, sent off at this location with a staff member Kevin. After over a month there is no tracking, no contact or update, no claim to file, and most importantly no mail containing my drivers license someone could have stole thanks to the negligence and interaction along this post office to who knows where my mail is. You used to be able to drop off prepaid UPS/FedEx/postal packages for free. Now they charge you to drop off the prepaid packages. Shipping cost is expensive. I feel like they nickel and dime for everything now. Plus customer service hasn't always been great. Save yourself the time and money and go directly to UPS/FedEx/post office. For more than 20 years, I've always worked from home (home office). This means I've always had either a place to pick up my business mail, and/or a place to ship packages, buy shipping supplies, or pick up a funny birthday card for my family! Well, in Walla Walla, I've found the best office away from my home office, ever! The people are super nice, their service is superior, and when I need to ship some of that Awesome Walla Walla Valley wine to my clients and customers, they pack it, process it, and ship it....FAST! You need to ask for Nellie! She is amazing. I just finished shipping like 8 boxes of vino for a host of clients and some family around the country, and she is simply amazing! Maybe the "+" in the name stands for "we ship FedEx." I had to send back an online purchase using FedEx shipping and was worried that I'd be making a 100-mile drive, round trip, just to send back a $20 item. I'm super happy that this business ships FedEx. It is a small store located in the Plaza Way strip mall and is closed on Sundays but open on Saturdays (just with reduced hours) and open M-F. I was in and out of the store in a flash. No line, just a lonely, friendly clerk at 10:30 on Saturday morning. If I need to ship something FedEx again, this will be the place! read more

The Postal Annex is a great place to get your passport pictures taken and passport renewal documents sent in. Robin was VERY helpful! While getting the camera set up, she walked me through what to write in the check memo to ensure my payment will be matched to my application. After printing the pictures, she looked over my application to make sure everything was correct to avoid processing delays. And then she explained the cheapest way to get it sent to the processing center with tracking! I love using Postal Annex for my shipping needs due to the options, quick service, and friendly folks, but now it's my favorite! I only wish they were able to process baby passport applications! read more

Quick, competent and great customer service. We are visiting from Nevada and needed several documents printed, notarized and sent to Louisiana for a real estate transaction. Not a great place to ship things from in my past experiences. My most recent experience involved a small package of fragile goods that were very well packed that I needed shipped to meet me for an event (it contained some liquids, and I didn't want to deal with checking it on the plane). When I arrived in Utah for said event, the package had never arrived, so I tracked it and found that the package had been damaged after UPS accepted the package and never even left Walla Walla. Instead they returned it to the Postal Annex. After paying over $60 to send this package, it never arrived, nor did the Postal Annex offer to refund me for the $60 I paid them to not have my package shipped. Really, really disappointed in them. read more

I'll never go back there. They had a B.S. sign on their door talking about not wearing a mask if you have an underlying issue, blah, blah. 2 out of the 3 employees were not wearing masks. I asked why they weren't wearing a face covering, didn't get much of an answer. Freaks me out when people, especially the employees are not wearing masks during a pandemic. I almost used their services. But when I arrived I saw that two of the three employees behind the counter were not wearing masks or any kind of protective shielding. They seemed to be within three feet of customers with only the counter between them. So I cannot rate the quality of their services because I did not go in the "hot zone". After returning home I learned that this business is widely discussed on local facebook as being a mask violator and it seems management has taken a somewhat militant tone against those who speak out even going so far as to cancel a clients mailbox. Postal Annex was close and convenient so I attempted to use them for the first time to send 4 separate very small (size of a playing card, less than 1 lb) pre-packed items. The cheapest shipping was almost $9 a piece and would take a week to arrive. When asked why it was so costly, the mask-less employee explained that they are a third party shipper so they charge a retailers fee on top of shipping. Sending everything would have cost me $35. Went to the post office.... just under $15 and it was there in 4 days. Just found out a family member used PA to send 12 small boxes of Christmas cookies. PA cost $235 and some boxes took almost two weeks to arrive, pre-paid 3 day post office cost $96. Aside from the cost, they had cards at all the registers that read "don't fear the living", 3 employees who didn't wear face coverings of any kind and no social distancing enforced at all while wanting in a line of about 10 people. We're in the middle of a pandemic and I would prefer to not have a businesses personal views on on mask wearing and public safety affect me the very few times I get out to run errands. Poor service and hidden charges. I purchased two small boxes at Postal Annex to ship some clothes. When they rang me up at the cash register they told me the total price. It seemed a little high so I asked if it was for the two boxes and the cost of shipping. The sales associate said yes. Only after I signed my receipt did they show me an itemized bill... They snuck on three dollars for "labor." Really? I asked them about it and was given a b.s. answer. It's not about the money, it's about the principle. Tell people what you are charging them, especially when they ask. Skip this place and use The UPS Store on E Isaacs instead. read more

Why didn't I think of this before? Sheila and staff helped me solve an impossible problem. Almost. I needed a family member to sign and notarize a few legal papers, and I live on the other side of the country. I'd been trying for a month and a half. I'd emailed forms, but recipient is technically challenged and had printed partial or wrong forms. I mailed paper copies, but recipient procrastinated and misplaced some of the forms. I needed a fool-proof way to get it done. It dawned on me - PostalAnnex is within walking distance of where she lives, maybe they can help me solve my problem. Long story short, yes, I can email them the forms, they will print and perform notary services, and send the original forms to the lawyer, all the family member has to do is walk to the store and sign the papers. Within half a day, I was able to resolve a problem I'd been fighting with for a month and a half. But I said "Almost". Family member did not have a current, valid ID, so they couldn't notarize one of the forms. That wasn't there fault, and I wasn't charged in spite of their efforts. Check these guys out, they're helpful and probably provide more services than you thought! read more

During the past few years I've used Postal Annex to ship dozens of packages. I was generally a satisfied customers until a recent experience at the store. Postal Annex advertises themselves as an authorized UPS shipper but I usually prefer FedEx when shipping work-related supplies. However, I recently decided to ship some personal items via UPS Ground. When I arrived at the store with my package the manager told me that they were unable to print forms for UPS Ground. When I informed her I didn't have a working printer, she dismissively told me to go to the library to print them off. I asked about simply writing the address on the box, but she wouldn't allow it because UPS would allegedly refuse the package. However, the manager offered to print off my forms if I was willing to ship via UPS Air, which just happened to be more expensive than UPS Ground. Let me reiterate: the Postal Annex would only print my shipping forms if I paid for the more expensive shipping option. This was the moment that I realized I could no longer do business with the Postal Annex in Walla Walla. I strongly disagree with their business ethics, and I feel an obligation to share my experience with other potential customers. read more

This business is in business to provide a service. I used that service and it was great. I shipped a picture across County and they packed it so it wouldn't break; which it didn't. The clerks were extremely efficient, friendly, careful, quick and overall polite. I am happy with the hours they are available. A person has a choice to use this company, which provides a service or to perform the service for themselves. Worst service! Just use the UPS store instead. I just sat 25 minutes waiting for service. I could see the two ladies in the back. One of them told me it would be a minute, 20 minutes later I politely asked how much longer because I was short on time. Her response was she was busy and someone will be in shortly that could help me. I asked if they were closed and she responded no but no one could help me. 5 Stars! These people are awesome! They were recommended to me by everyone I that I asked in Walla Walla and they did not disappoint me. I had a variety of irreplaceable family heirlooms (large mirror, vintage blender, Dad's tools) that I needed to get packed and shipped to Southern California. Sheila was extremely efficient, helpful and sensitive to my concern for the items I care so much about. They custom built a very sturdy shipping crate at a reasonable price and selected a shipper whose rate I could not beat with my own research. Absolutely 5 stars! I walked into Postal Annex with a stressful situation on my hands and walked out completely stress free. A polite and softspoken woman by the name of Sarah helped me with everything I needed to get done which included emailing a picture and having it printed and then copied again, a few copies of other various paperwork, had a paper notorized, and then all packaged together for FedEx 2nd day air. Everything I needed would have required first going to a bank (and that's if you're lucky enough to find one that will notorize without having an account) and then going to a post office which seems to always have rediculously long lines. At this convenient place known as Postal Annex I was in and out in about 10 minutes with all my needs met and left completely stress free! I was dealing with a time sensitive matter that as always I had procrastinated on and so was left doing it at the last second. Since I travel for work as a robotics engineer I had already been to a few banks and two post offices which only increased the stress levels so I am truly glad I came here to complete my task at hand. I've used the Postal Annex over the past four years and have been more than satisfied with their friendly, efficient customer service and their ability to get complex shipping projects completed in a timely manner.
