I have used this store for probably 10 years. I've always raved about it. The people working there are always the same. No high turnover here so I think they are probably treated well. It's very busy, but they are always so helpful. Because of all of those ppl that have been helping me flawlessly for years, I will still always go there. But.... Today wasn't my favorite day. I went in to have copies made on my own special paper. I know that they have to enter the paper weight on their machine so it is handled properly. I took the exact same paper in about a month ago and the lady helping me had no trouble with this. But today the guy helping me didn't know the weight of my paper and said he didn't want to break the $80,000 copy machine with my paper. I tried to hand him the paper. It's just regular paper and can go in any inkjet or copy machine. I tried to explain that it was just done there with the exact paper I was carrying but he wouldn't do it. About a month ago, I shipped a guitar in a case from Stanwood to Bellevue--I didn't feel like fighting traffic. I asked for the cheapest shipping. Cost was $100 bucks for shipping, and $50 for a box. The guy kept wanting to charge me more because the would have to open the case and loosen the strings, so the neck didn't bend and snap the strings. It was in an ATA approved flight case. In order to bend the neck, you'd have to bend the case, and that ain't happening. Today, I shipped a guitar from the UPS location at Smokey Point; this time, shipping across the country, standard ground. $40 fiir the box, $39 shipping. $80 bucks this time, going out of state, compared to $150 from Stanwood to Bellevue, maybe 60 miles. For pre-paid Amazon returns, etc.: sure, use 'm. Otherwise, expect to be over charged. Remember: each store is individually owned and operated. read more

This place is the BEST locally owned business in all of Stanwood/Camano. Their efficiency, customer service and professionalism is always on point. The employees have become some of my most favorite people to see at least once a week due to their Amazon return program. Thankful for this business, their constant help, their kindness and their way of making my experiences pleasant. Also: notice how theres VERY little turnover. This speaks volumes about the owners and how they treat their employees. So grateful to have this business in town. read more

Please make sure that you check how much it should cost to ship something before trusting this store with your shipments!! I'm a new small business owner this year and spent a decent amount of time researching the best way to get a small but heavy package across the country. After finding out that UPS offers Simple Rate Shipping now (flat rate), I decided try out UPS instead of USPS which I use for all other shipments. When I populated my box size that I needed to ship on UPS.com it came out to $26.00. I then drove to this UPS Store and asked the clerk if they had boxes designed for shipping by Cubic Inches (Simple Rate) and he responded that they do. I then purchased a 12x12x12 box for $4.36 (expensive yes, but was saving money on the shipping or so I thought). Once I packed my items into the box, I brought it back in from the car to the store and proceeded with shipping the item. The clerk and myself were chatting when the price popped up and I ran my card with the prior knowledge that we already discussed the shipping rate and reason I was there in the first place. After getting back to the car, I noticed that I was charged $63.78 for a label that would have cost me $26.00 to print at home. I just want to make this crystal clear, that is 245% of what the shipping charge ACTUALLY is or $37.78 extra dollars for them to literally print the label for me. My advice would be that if you don't have a printer, pay someone or a printing shop a $1 to print it for you instead of spending $37.78 more than you need to to ship a package. Not only is this business not transparent, but I then contacted the manager who had no desire to keep my business moving forward. Since this is a franchise, which is why they refuse to honor the UPS rate, I figured they may be understanding of a small business and how much those extra pennies can help grow or kill your business but I was wrong. Went to the UPS store to get something faxed. I guess it was busy. I don't know there were four people standing around and only one actually doing any work. The one skinny young kid who usually has super long hair not sure how he even sees through all that Hair waited on me. I got a little confused and I said mail instead of fax. I thought you said you wanted to fax and I said ya I do I'm a little confused and he told me "don't give me attitude!!!!" that motherfucking punk ass bitch he's always a smart ass every time I go in there I hate that kid. I love it! Everyone is very nice and takes care of me whenever I go there. I've used the notary service several times. They have two notaries and at least one is usually there (John, the owner, is one). I was there the week after Christmas, which was crazy busy, but they were patient and didn't get frustrated. I don't use it to ship things, though, for that USPS is generally cheaper for the most part. read more

Dropped off a next day air package Friday morning. Come to find out package was mishandled by the Stanwood UPS store and did not send till Monday for arrival on Tuesday. This error may cost me $$$$ since this was my closing documents for a real estate purchase and the closing date was Monday. I bought a couple porcelain dolls online for a price of 4.80 I was shocked when I heard the packaging and shipping was 125.71. I received a phone call from this store on 2/26/21 and paid for the adsorbent charges. After not hearing back I searched my bank acct and found I was charged 125.71 on 3/04/21 to date I have not received any tracking information or reasoning for such a delay. I'm approximately 9 hours away from this UPS store. In my opinion this store price gouges and will never buy from this area again. read more

The staff at this location is incredibly unprofessional. I was quoted $100 to ship a medium sized box, plus an additional $40 for packaging which would take 9 days to arrive. I stated the cost was excessive, at which time about employee interrupted me and said I was being rude and I could go somewhere else. I had my card out ready to pay when she interrupted. I have filed a complaint with the corporate office I sincerely hope they adress my complaint The treatment I received was deplorable, offensive and absolutely unnecessary. The employees need some customers service training and ups needs to adjust their rates, USPS was $54 and 2 day guarantee with more coverage for insurance included. I will never use them. Ever. I help a neighbor with her errands. One of them is mailing/returning items at the UPS Store in Stanwood. The people have always been friendly and helpful. Haven't run into a poor attitude. A few times they have appeared short-handed and the wait was a bit much. The one time I needed to ship a flugelhorn, the recipient said it arrived on time and in good shape. read more

While this is a busy store, I have found the staff friendly and helpful. The pricing for copies is cheaper than Fed-X and the convenience is important for Stanwood. People come into this type of store pretty frantic and stressed. I think the employees do a good job of treating customers with respect. By reading the other reviews, it looks like there is sometime some frustration with shipping. But really, that is more of a global UPS issue and UPS policy and not so much an issue with this store per se. I like that they can take returns to Amazon there. The store itself seems a little messy but hey, that is because they are processing an amazing amount of orders. Overall, I think this store does a good job and I'm glad they are in Stanwood. read more
