I went to this UPS store to send a package to a family member to be picked up at another UPS store in PA. What I sent weighed at 6lbs, however, per "dimensional weight" I was charged at 24lbs, which is 4x the weight. Per the store owner, the dimensions of the box also goes into account of what is being sent, which doesn't make any sense because my partner sent something with larger dimensions on his box and the item weigh more than what I've sent, and he was not charged nearly as much as I was. Either way, her response was "nice nasty". I asked would it have been cheaper to have the store package it rather than us package it, in which she responded that it would have been. I said well I wish I knew that rather than being charged four times per dimensional weight. She responds "well we couldn't help with that because it's not like we know what's in the box," but you would know what was in the box if you asked me specifically what was in there in order to inform me that there's an extra charge to insurance the item that has a value past $100 should be lost or stolen, and that I was asked by the store rep what was in the box specifically as it is on my receipt. I just believe that if something was weighed at 6 pounds and the computer is giving a dimensional weight four times the weight of what's in the package that that would have been something that would've been brought up. So now, before insurance, I'm being charged $63 to ship a 6lb item. I advise if you are going to get an item shipped from this store: That you may look into them actually packaging it so you're not charged four times more than the actual weight due to "dimensional weight" That you look into pricing when it comes to sending something store to store because apparently you're supposed to know that "each store is different and you should not randomly send things without looking into it" per the store owner(as I said "nice nasty"). read more

I went to the UPS store to return my AT&T router and the line was nearly out the door, but was still able to get in and out in about 5 minutes!! The people working at this store were so polite & quick!! They're doing a great job! read more

A lot of things went wrong with my last overnight piece of mail & my overnight mail I was going to send today plus negative/ rude interactions with the owner & her team. The owner is intelligent, clever & also passive aggressive. When I was dealing strictly with her I said "you must be degreed, I hear a degree in there" Her response was "I don't know what that has to do with anything" This was a compliment. How 'bout thank you? This is part of customer service even if we talk about a pretty piece of jewelry she might be wearing etc. Conversation does not have to be strictly about business related items. And NO, it was NOT extremely busy at this time. I have complimented tons of people EXACTLY like this for the past 40 years & I have received a very nice response for this EXCELLENT compliment EACH & EVERY time. Having a degree & being well spoken is very admirable. I have not used their business much at all or the UPS store. I just moved to the area 10 months ago so I was not familiar with needing to check the mailing address & shipping address on my receipt (previous transaction). I worked as a senior designer for Civil engineering firms for almost 40 years. I am very articulate & focused. I was NOT asked to check over the shipping address & mailing address during my previous transaction. Today I was asked. On the previous piece of mail both addresses were WRONG & the shipping address/ my address was in another City altogether & on a completely different road name. I would have easily caught those horrible mistakes. I lost $41, because this important piece of mail never made it to it's correct destination. When I was addressing the UPS mistakes on the previous piece of mail the young employee was not apologetic for her team's possible mistakes and she was trying to very quickly brush it off. While interacting with the young employee I noticed when I talked to her she would not make any eye contact or respond unless she absolutely had to. I told her a few times "I'm not upset" She would stay mute & not make eye contact. Any other customer would have been very angry. We were having problems with making my copies. I finally told the young lady to turn the original another direction. It cut the image off even more. She said "that's why we need to copy the document the way I am orientating it" I am not familiar with their machine. I am on disability now. I have incurable stage 4 cancer in my spine. I haven't been in an office environment for 5 years. When I suggested we use the larger document size 8-1/2 x 14 she just walked away from me. She then talked to/ interrupted Marie the owner. When I tried to talk to the owner she got angry & interrupted me and said "I'll be with you in a moment" All I needed to tell her was that I was going to also make a complaint against her employee. So it's OK for an employee to interrupt, but not a paying customer? The owner then helped me on the copy machine. We talked about my interaction with her employee. She told me that the employee KNEW how to make 8-1/2 x 14 copies. I said "then why walk away from me?" She said "that's better than getting angry at you" WRONG. She made me wait for the owner to help me and it was rude to stay mute and walk away. She then said "I don't want her doing something she doesn't know how to do" I said "you just told me she KNEW how to do it" She didn't respond. Changing the copy size is EASY. I told the owner that she had a character issue & that she was defending her employee. She said "YES, I am" I was being EXTREMELY patient & the young employee made sure that I KNEW that she was UPSET by staying mute, not interacting unless it was absolutely necessary, not making eye contact, trying to brush off HUGE errors & by walking away. All she had to do is make two larger copies. I asked her nicely & patiently. If that makes her walk away without giving a valid reason then she DEFINITELY has a behavior problem. Slow!! Staff is very nice and helpful but slow!! Frustrating to have a line of 10 people and watching employees taking time to register packages stacked up ignoring the line. I understand their maybe a time sensitive nature to the packages being registered but ridiculous not to help the customers in front out you to address inanimate packages for 10 min. read more

Very upsetting. You use UPS and trust them with your package that had over $2,000 worth of cells phones in it, they lose your package, and all you get is I'm sorry. These phones were brand new, not used, paid $315 in the taxes, cases and screen protection. So UPS does an investigation, still can't locate my package, so I am told I will be issued $100 for the claim and $16 that was paid for this shipping. I did have insurance on the phones, so I called the insurance company to see how much the deductible would be to replace the phones, $450. I already lost the $315, not to mention that I still have to pay for 2 brand new phones that UPS LOST. All UPS says "I'm Sorry". $2,000 worth of items is a felony in the State of Louisiana. How can a box disappear into thin air! This is unacceptable. These phones were sent to my aging mother that is 73 years old, with health issues. Now, we have Hurricane Laura that hit and my mother still does not have a working cell phone. I also contacted ATT store where the phones were purchased, they said that UPS is responsible because they shipped the phones. I called the local Police Department, the Officer that I spoke to said, ultimately, UPS is responsible because they were in possession of the item. So, it is a mystery how a box in transit with brand new IPhones in it, disappear. Please see the letter that I received from the Owner of the UPS store: I have followed up with UPS today again and your package still has not been found. Your package most definitely was picked up from The UPS Store on August 11, and the scans indicate the package left New Orleans late that same night, arriving in Jackson MS and Monroe LA on August 12. The investigation is still open and if the package is not found, they will close the investigation and issue the claim. I will keep you posted - I am following up and tracking the package daily. WARNING ABOUT THE UPS STORE ON GAUSE BLVD IN SLIDELL! I had 2 returns for online purchases, one was through USPS and one was FedEx. On May 24, I brought them both to the UPS Store and was told that they could accept both of them and I was given a receipt with both tracking numbers. I also took a picture of each package with the shipping label and tracking number. So today, June 24, I track them and see that the packages still have not been delivered to their destination. I go to the UPS Store with my receipt that they gave me and the new owner (Kathleen) tells me that they don't accept FedEx packages so there isn't anything they can do for me. I was told that they did have a few new employees, so one of them may have accepted it by accident. I pointed out (and showed her) that the FedEx tracking number on my package is also the number that was entered on my receipt, but she said there is nothing they can do. I told her "I understand (now) that you don't accept FedEx, but it's clear that your employee accepted my FedEx package and gave me a receipt and you can't help me????...". She did not even try to help and was not even interested that I was unhappy about the situation. In fact, she was not nice and I will never use this business ever again!!!! read more

What a great store! They are friendly and efficient. They patiently worked with me on packaging and shipping a bulky item. Even with a steady stream of people while I was there, they were patient and kind.
