The whole Louisiana DMV is a train wreck! John Bel's administration managed to take a department that was functioning barely and left a mess for Gov Landry to fix and he hasn't done a thing to make it better. The service at this place has really gone down hill. If you are not in line before the doors open then you will have a very long wait . There is only one person doing title transactions. The other is doing drivers license renewals so if you arrive midday expect to wait a couple of hours. Also if you ask them their preferred type of payment they will tell you to use your Visa card. If you use a Visa debit card ( not credit card) unlike other retail merchants they will charge you an extra 4% and tack that on to your total price in addition to their regular $80 fee for title transactions. I tried to transfer a car title that I purchased and they kept changing requirements and on my third trip they played detective and said the seller signature does not match the signature on the title and did not allow me to transfer the title even though I brought a witness to notarize her signature as a witness to the transaction. I would not recommend this ATB and avoid. read more

I suspect some of the negative reviews are people who do not have what they need to complete the transactions when they go into here. I have been here many times and always had good service. They are so much more convenient than the DMV. Yes, you pay a fee, but they have notaries on staff to handle things the DMV cannot. I would highly recommend. Most forms can be printed from their website as well. Very quick and convenient overall. read more

While out and about in Slidell, I realized I had lost my drivers license!! Stopped in Louisiana Auto Title and was in and out with a duplicate license in under 10 minutes. The gentleman that worked with me was courteous, professional and very efficient. Highly recommend this business!! read more
