Came in on a Saturday to ask about a treadmill return, apparently I had to pack it myself then bring to UPS Store to return, I asked guy about packing guidelines as a box to pack it costs $150 I was told just put cardboard boxes together and bring it in which my amazing husband wrapped it for me then we come in on a Sunday and Melissa so graciously assisted us as I still was unsure if it was wrapped good enough, it was! Embarrassing behavior by staff: Walked into the UPS store on Monday 1/12 around 4pm to 2 staff members singing derogatory and inappropriate songs while laughing and ignoring customers. The two employees were a very tall heavy set white female and a short heavy set black female. They were singing and laughing and trying to get the cashiers to join in but the cashiers stayed composed and professional while trying to ignore their immature behavior. It was a very embarrassing scene for the two female employees to sing derogatory songs in front of customers instead of greeting and helping them. Poor service and shameful behavior represented at this location. It's important to retrain your employees! read more

I just wanted to say how much I appreciated Lyle's assistance with my returns yesterday. I had about 20 Amazon items to return for my 90-year old mother. Some of them were single package returns; some had 2-3 in a package. It was so overwhelming for me to figure out which barcode went with which item. Usually good service. My only issue was that there wasn't any sign up front indicating that they were closed on Father's Day. The only sign up on the front window was their store hours that indicated that they are open on Sundays. I really wanted to write this review for years now. The ladies here are extremely rude. Sooooo rude. I feel like also this store in particular tries to upsell everything. So dishonest. Every little item they try to penny pinch and make more $$$. Every time I ship something I feel like they add extra little inches to it or something to make the price go up. I came in last week to ship 3 packages to New York and one of the packages was instantly lost. The system shows as a label having been created, but UPS isn't in possession of the package. I sent all 3 packages together so I was hoping that this was an error in the system, but ultimately the missing package never arrived with the others that I sent that day. The only assistance that this UPS Store was able to offer was to file a claim, which if I ever receive a payout would be for a fraction of the cost of the contents of that missing package. That package was an essential part of a project that is going to cost me a lot of time and money to replace. read more

When one goes to the UPS store, one may need help with packaging... which might include asking questions about boxes and/or sizes they have available. If you do, this isn't the store for you. Most certainly not if Patrice is working, she and her team won't help. Instead, they'll laugh at you for asking about a box and tell you that you're better off going to FedEx for help. Literally? Umm... At least they were honest?! They get a one star for that. I could do without being laughed at or treated like a subpar human though. Many wonderful people work at this location, but yesterday there was a "gentleman" on duty with dark hair and a thick mustache who accepted our two boxes when we arrived and threw each one into a shelf on the side behind the counter. Our boxes were marked fragile. Clearly marked. I thought of taking our boxes to another store. This was so concerning. I do not understand. UPS averted a strike and employees got raises. So, what is the problem? Who behaves that way at work? Maybe he was upset we came just before closing. I do not know. But this is no way to treat people or their possessions they intrust to UPS. This is one of my favorite stores to do my Amazon returns. There is usually no line and if there is one it's usually very short. The hours are reasonable and they have a dedicated person in front to help you in case there is a line. The associates are always very friendly which is a plus. I am a little surprised I have not reviewed this place before especially since it is my go to for amazon returns. But today I am here to discuss how cool Sara was to me when I needed a 3rd Passport photo as the first two where low quality and I could find no where else to do the job. First of all, traveling is my thang and in a way my business. Since the Pandemic started I have been in misery cancelling trip after trip. In June of 21 I went to renew my passport early hopping to sneak in an Aug/Sept trip before a huge trip in Jan of 22. I first went to Rite aide in Torrance for my photo and mailed it off pronto. The application came back rejected in July citing the photo as being flawed. I returned to the same rite aid to give them a chance to do right by me on 7/28. The second photo they provided me was over exposed and I knew it would also be rejected. Since rite aid's 1st awful photo already lost me a full month, and since the passport office was reportedly extremely backed up due to covid, I was not going to trust them again with the bad second photo. I started to panic. This is my 4th passport and I have never had any issues prior. I looked online and noticed AAA on Western did passport photos so I drove there and their camera was broken. :( I then drove to CVS as that is where I got my photo 10 years ago and they no longer did them :( and they referred me to the nearby UPS. Before I went there I called to be sure and was happy they actually picked up the phone! Rite aide and CVS never do! I also noticed they had a 15% off deal so that was cool too. I arrived in the afternoon and as usual parking was EASY. The opposite of Fed ex across the street which everyone knows is a nightmare! I got in the store fast and Sara took care of me. I was a nervous wreck because I really wanted to get the application in the mail today and not knowing what was wrong w the photo before, I kinda felt helpless.. Sara was really nice and took several photos for me and they where clearly better than the ones I had previously taken. She endured me spazing and listened to the fact that I felt the rite aide photos where also too big and I wanted her to try and lean on the smaller size because your head must be a specific size to fit on the passport. I showed her my successful passport photo from 10 years ago with a much smaller head than the rite aid ones. It was really important. I did not care what I looked like. But I noticed Sara did and took the time to print two sets so I could choose the most attractive one and she generously let me take them both. Anyway, it was a nice experience which i needed as I was really stressed having run around all day.. I mailed my renewal application for the second time that afternoon then went home and made a 5 o'clock cocktail. :) In addition to this, I do need to say that this UPS office makes online returns effortless. You go in and you are out w a receipt in under 1 minute. Everyone is friendly, they tape stuff up, and never throw a fit about your package not being up to par. No drama or tude like I consistently get w Fed Ex across the street. And UPS does not have a dangerous parking lot with people driving the wrong way toward you and fed ex trucks blocking the road. . Five stars for customer service Patrice was so nice and helpful I understand people can have a bad day and when I came in the first lady told me it wouldn't be possible to return some thing and I would have to go home and redo it on the computer. Convenient, close, (at least to me), and fairly efficient staff. I typically only use them when returning items, (Amazon purchases, Direct TV receivers, etc), lol. That said, there have been a few times when I've had to ship my own items and their prices are reasonable. Parking lot is shared with multiple other businesses and can be challenging. read more

I went to this UPS Store and the woman who assisted me was also having a conversation with a coworker. I had to ask a same question 3 different times one after another because each time I asked, she would turn her head away and continue the conversation with the other employee, while I waited on her. It was very unusual and rude. No doubt. What I don't quite understand is how she can get away with being so rude and unprofessional in front of her other coworkers and possibly even the boss, idk if he was one of the other employees there, and not get called on it. Everyone witnessed it. I don't think that anyone should be rude when they provide a service. That was just my observation and experience at that UPS Store. read more
