Amazon requires some returns to be dropped off at a UPS so off I went with a cumbersome bbq that I didn't disassemble (because I didn't know I needed to). Walked into the UPS kinda "hot" because Amazon put me in a mood trying to make me keep the bbq AND use my protection plan to fix it after two uses. Anywhoooo.... I walked in and encountered Jason who told me I needed to disassemble the bbq and buy packaging for it. I immediately gave him an attitude (later apologized). I said fine and Jason got everything I needed for the return. He immediately began disassembling the bbq with lightning speed and perfection. I hadn't asked for this. He then boxed everything up and sealed the box with the gift wrapping precision of a professional. I just stood and watched his amazing skill AND talent. He said, "you're all set" and gave me a return receipt. Writing this review to publicly apologize to Jason and let everyone know - if you encounter Jason - tell him Michelle is still regretting her attitude. read more

I have been to this location twice, both times a disaster. The last time, I was returning 4 unopened Amazon items which were still in the original manufacturer's clear packaging AND I brought my own return ship bags with me, in case. The employee insisted it was UPS policy that I HAD to buy *their* shipping bags from them, rather than use what I already had and they also refused to label the items as is, as they were sent to me.. Amazon shipped all 4 to me without bags. The reason for this, is that all four of the items came from different locations, 2 were new and two were used, so different sellers. Still, all four came to us with free shipping. So I was forced to buy four UPS Store shipping bags, basically the same as what I had (we sell on eBay) to accomodate this supposed policy. I tried to file a claim through UPS which was ignored even though they indicated this was not policy. Amazon also stated it was a bogus policy. I'd called twice after the fact and asked to speak to the owner, which was ignored. So I ended up paying quite a bit to return ship, due to the cost of the bags. This was paid to this UPS store, and not required by nor did it go Amazon or the original sellers. So they actually made money off of the fact we needed to return them. We feel this was so inappropriate, even manipulative. We will never go there again. Another time, we went in to make copies and were charged more than $1.00 for each copy, even though other UPS stores charge much less. read more

Let's talk about customer service!! I saw that this location opens at 8:30- I had several boxes to mail. I waited outside with my boxes stacked ready to go! I was let in by a nice gentleman around 8:29. When we came into the store we were yelled at (not a misrepresentation) and it was ugly! "We don't open until 8:30!! You have a key but you cannot let other people in! The owner will not let me open until 8:30!!" Looking at me she said, "You have to wait I have to open the registers. You shouldn't be here!!" I responded, " it's 8:32. I am good, no worries." She continues to chastise me and berate me. I turn my back to her so she will stop. She finally stops. The day before, I had mailed a box and she was on a call and was so loud I could not hear what the young man was telling me. He also seems unhappy to be there. I felt like I was a burden- It seems like people are ready for a fight these days but I am not ever going to reciprocate with anger. I actually said to the woman to "breathe, it's all okay, I will wait and it is no problem." She responded with more anger and I asked her to stop chastising me. It was awful!! Owner of this establishment: seems morale and training time is low. It was awful... and all for a one minute breach. Wow! There is another UPS store on Broadway. I will just go there. ***Update! I went to lunch with my staff and had a box to mail so I thought - go into the UPS and don't say a word...it would be so much quicker then driving to the other location. I went in and wow! Synchronicity!! The man who had unlocked the door the day before walked in!! I was standing right in front of "Manager Chris." So I said- okay I have to tell you I have never in my life been yelled at or treated with such anger and disdain. Guess what? Manager Chris replied that HE GOT IN TROUBLE for that whole 1 minute breach! Then the woman who yelled at me the day before started in on me again- yelling but saying she just has a loud voice. Then she said I was laughing at her (so I deserved to be verbally assaulted). Please... be careful in this UPS store. I feel this woman may be dangerous as she is not aware, reasonable or stable. I tried to find a way to talk to the owner- and would love to do so. The owner needs to watch the camera footage if he has it. How did my telling her I as good and "no worries" and she should breathe to feel better turn into me laughing at her? My advice. Stay aware from this UPS. I will. I am now fearful as to what could happen next. read more

Update - I went over to the McCullough ups store and they were amazing!! Helped me pull the cover back around my rug and provided two pieces of tape FREE of charge. The rudest people I have ever met! I was trying to get a rug in the door that arrived in the wrong color from pottery barn kids. They stood, watched me struggle with getting it to the counter and the. Told me I'd need to pay them a fee to package it. I had the original packaging and a label. No one would help me lift the rug and they wanted to charge me to tape the return label on. I always go to the Broadway Ups location but they were closed today. Please do not waste time coming in here. Go to another location. read more

*****CAUTION***** First- the store manager Chris- is unprofessional. I sent a package out and it NEVER made it to the residence! When we called and questioned what happened and asked for a refund since we requested our package to be expedited- Chris starts quoting policy. Since it was not overnight- UPS does not give refunds. The owner is Jesse but only Chris can speak to the owner. There was NO option to speak to anyone other than him and it would be a waste of time reaching out to the main company. We did get a 1-800 number but told it would be a waste of our time. Our package was going from San Antonio- Texas to Norfolk Virginia.... But instead being delivered to the desired address, it went to a Michael's Craft Store (no where near the deliver address) in Norfolk, Virginia! We are so disappointed with the service and will be reaching out to the 1-800 main number and the Better Business Bureau! The one star is because the store was open and clean. Again- GOOD Luck if you use this organization to deliver a package- the holidays are right around the corner- so user beware! read more

This UPS Store is fast! I went in to drop off a package, and they were able to get it scanned, weighed, stamped, etc in a very fast manner. The service was quick, fast, and efficient. The store was a bit on the cramped side, but they still managed to get things taken care of. UPS is a bit more expensive than the USPS, especially if you're shipping books, but they can get them there rather fast. If you're wanting to save money on shipping books, try out 4th class media mail with the USPS. read more

My wife and daughter went in to mail some packages and were met with a very coarse attitude from the female employee working there about the services they could and couldn't offer. I received a call from my wife and was concerned they would treat her this way. She added many customers looked concerned over the employee's attitude. I called to speak with a manager and was told he was with a customer. After holding for 3 minutes, I was told he would call me back immediately. I received a call about 15 minutes later from the female employee who treated my wife poorly. She tried to apologize by stating she was very direct as she is from a military background. I told her that I didn't understand the confusion in her calling me as I was told the manager would be calling me. She told me he wasn't in the office. I reiterated that I wanted to speak with a manager, directly. She said that he would be in touch with me the following day. I was sure, at this point, they were covering for each other and I wanted to address my concern. 3 days have passed, no return phone call, one online customer service form has gone ignored, and I'm left utterly disappointed in what "customer service" has become. There was a time when I had no issues with the staff at this UPS location, but for the last year or so? There has been a serious drop in professionalism and competence. The last time I used this UPS store, one employee -- a very tall goofy older guy -- glanced at me as I approached the counter but resumed laughing with his co-worker, who was shopping online for toys. I stood there for almost a minute before I got pushy. You simply do not let a customer stand there while you and your coworker entertain yourselves online. The employees have no sense of customer service whatsoever. I go out of my way to go to the location on Broadway just to avoid this store. I called today to confirm notary services and was put on hold. Shopper lady never returned to the call. The owner of the store really ought to rethink or retrain the current employees. I went to this place today and felt like I wasn't welcome. The people on duty look like they were spooked and were recovering from a bad experience. They also wanted to charge $2.00 to print a return label and another $2.00 to use the computer to print the label.This happened on January 8th 2019 at 6:00PM. Do yourself a favor and go to the one located on Broadway. They print the label for free and make you feel welcome. read more

*update: it is the next day after writing this review. Last night I got a call to come pack to the store because they forgot to have my fill out one paper, stoping my package from being shipped. So I came into the store this morning. I was told that I didn't not need to fill out a paper but that they made a mistake. Basically they filled out some information wrong on their end which would cost me $70 more to ship my package. I was told the owner of the store came in and said that the employee who made the problem was going to have to pay the difference because ether made the mistake and I had already anticipated my package was shipped. So basically they called and lied to me by saying I needed to come in and sign papers. Really they meant they wanted me to come in and pay more money. So ridiculous that I had to pay for their mistake. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE. I wasted my gas driving all the way over here as I don't live on this side of town plus got charge another $70. Go to a different ups store. . . . I just came in to this store to drop off some packages and ship out a package to the UK. I've been to many ups stores but this one by far was my favorite. Ester helped me ship my packages. She took the time to actually help me find the cheapest option and package my material. She was the biggest help and I'm very grateful for her help. She helped me find the cheapest route. When I wen to the other ups store they told me that the same package was going to ship for $130 more of what she told me. GO HERE AND ASK FOR ESTER TO HELP YOU. I strongly suggest using any other shipping outlet but this UPS store. This location is EXTREMELY stingy with their materials and services. I just had to pay $2 in order to get the attendant to reinforce my box WITH TAPE after being unwilling to pay $11.79 to put my free shipping box in a larger UPS box. I also witnessed the attendant shake down a man of visibly little means for $5.17 for printing and reprinting a piece of paper, when it was not up to quality standards, and for cutting off the edges.
