There were three guys standing behind the counter, but instead of helping her, they just pointed to the self-service kiosk. Here I am, almost 2 weeks after shipping a package from this UPS Store in RLB and guess what? UPS is reporting they're still awaiting the package! Somebody over there needs to do the right thing and reimburse me for the contents of a package that never left that store. Meanwhile, my customer does a charge-back with on his credit card (rightfully so) and the store manager refuses to take responsibility. I've given them ample opportunities to make good on this, and they haven't! In retrospect I probably should have read these reviews before setting foot in that store. Every year I send a big box with lots of gifts to some family in Canada. Its... always expensive to ship. However I do like the service I get here. They can help with any step of the process and the staff are always friendly, even during the holiday rush when it gets crazy in here. 9 times out of 10 I have no issues with my shipment. They lost a necklace one time a few years back but you can always insure your package for an extra fee so think hard about what your sending and what it's worth. Overall I can say I recommend this business. My package this year arrived sooner than anticipated with no damage or issues, and you can't ask for more than that. read more

Do not use. Items will get stolen/lost. My parents tried to send me my laptop but instead I got a box full of modems and cables. The manager was the one who personally helped them box the item but he either put the wrong label on the wrong box or intentionally took the laptop. They said they would investigate and pick up the incorrect package I received but so far nothing from them. They will not respond to calls or emails. The item was insured and expedited shipping was paid for. So far they have only sent a check that nowhere near covers the cost. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. We shipped a package from this store the contents being an iPad. The recipient of the package received an empty package with the packing material we put in the box still in there but the iPad was missing. The "manager" stated he would file a claim but we've nothing from him and he was the one who taped and put a sticker on the package the day before but couldn't remember if he asked if we wanted insurance. When asked he said "oh yeah". We filed our own claim but know that this will never be founded. The "manager" is a thief Update: the claim was unfounded and a video showed the driver dropping a package that was taped and in delivering condition. However they don't have a video of the store where the box with the product was dropped off and "taped" ready for shipment. No footage of the store where the iPad was removed before shipping. Update #2: After speaking with a few other people there has been management and ownership changes and this location and it has had many complaints. It seems that there is quite the bad reputation surrounding this UPS location. Be aware if you go there out of convenience and use this location. I suggest driving a little further to insure that an empty box doesn't show up where you are shipping things to and your product actually arrives there. read more

I don't sell on eBay often, but had the need to sell and ship several items. Comparing against dealing with the USPS to do it all, or UPS, I took a chance and went to this UPS store. I worked with Allan, the store manager - who I understand recently took over this location - and he was SUPER helpful. He took care of nearly everything I needed. Also, (like I said, I dont ship items too often) he recognized that I had inefficiently packed one of the larger items I was shipping and made a recommendation to help save me almost $40 off what my original packing was going to be! I was completely impressed with his ability to make this process easy for me. All of my items arrived at their final destinations on time or early so am so pleased that Allan went the extra mile to help. I had a water ski that I had planned to ship out. I bring the ski into the store on a Friday night, and I get a call on Monday that it is ready for pickup. I had my car worked on and was unable to pick it up until Thursday, which they were okay with after I confirmed so. I get there today to pick it up and it is in a massive box. So big that it had no chance of fitting in my vehicle. I thought the box was too large for the item personally. After multiple attempts to get the box in my car I bring it back into the store and tell them it doesn't fit. The woman behind the counter was rude and told me that since I couldn't bring it home I would begin to be charged $25 per day to store it since I wouldn't be able to get it until Saturday. I asked if I could just cancel my order and she refused to cancel it since they "couldnt reuse the materials". I paid $45 to have them box it up. After getting assistance from one of the gentlemen I was able to take my item out of the box and bring it home. He was very helpful which is why I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Besides the helpful gentleman that took my item out of the box the rest of the staff was unhelpful towards me. They should have given me a notice that the box they put it in was big to the point where A regular car won't work for it. I will not do business here in the future. read more

Slower than molasses and not feeling very safe in this store. There were a lot of people and ended-up being in the store for about 40 minutes to just drop-off Direct TV equipment.....which only 1 of the two guys is able to help with. Although they try to keep people apart, it's a small space and it's really not possible. What bothered me the most was while the rest of us had masks on, an older teenager walked in without a mask and neither of the associates said a word to him. read more

I made a number of trips to this location over the past week. My parents moved out of state and I had to have items packed and shipped to them along with having many pounds of papers shredded. While everyone was nice, I have to say that your employee Tony was super. He helped me carry boxes. He was attentive and concerned about the family items I was shipping. I think I shipped at least ten to twelve boxes during the week and I had about 80 pounds of paper shredded. I recommend that anyone who needs to ship anything use this location. Kudos to Tony, I think he deserves some special recognition and possibly a raise or at least a bonus. read more

Dropped off two items to be packaged and shipped in December. Recipients of gifts never received packages. According to UPS tracking package was never picked up. From UPS store. (I was told by UPS Store this was not true). I opened a claim with UPS store in Dec and stopped in for statuses every 1-3 weeks. Today when I stopped I was told claim was denied and since it was so long ago to call UPS directly and I couldn't have copies of the claim. I was also told that food items wasn't insured ( there were more than food items in each package) I spent 69$ shipping to send items and that wasn't even offered as a refund. I had to call my credit card company to get my shipping and packaging charges refunded. read more

Called this ups store Thursday evening a little after six looking for a late drop box. The person who answered was friendly and helpful and gave me an address in Antioch. I repeated it back to make sure. Drove up and down the street in Antioch looking for it. No drop box. Called at 6:20 and no answer. Called at 6:26 and got the recording with their hours stating they were closed. Called Friday morning to find out the deal with the Antioch address. The person was quiet for quite a while, I thought we were disconnected. Then said he did not know why they said Antioch it was in Hainseville. When I mentioned I called at 6:20, he interrupted stating I must have called at 6:30. I told him, NO, my phone has a time stamp and it was 6:20 then 6:26. No apology for the wrong information. Dropped off some stuff for shredding yesterday. I mentioned I would be back today with more, was told come on in. Went back today on my lunch hour, with about 20 pounds of shredding. They said they cant take it today, their containers were too full. So, almost wasted my lunch hour, but went to Office Depot, they had no problem with it. SO, hit or miss on this one. The copier did not have a credit reader, so a woman helped me print it.. I did not have any cash on me. I told her that I only had a credit card and no coins or cash.. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! I shipped a package from this location. The package made it to the state I was shipping it to. However, it got sent back to me do to it being damaged in shipping. This is the totally unprofessional part... UPS refused to honor their damage insurance. They claimed the item was not packaged correctly. Let me get this straight.... you take my money, pick up the item from the store, ship it halfway across the country, admit to damaging it, don't give the receiver a chance to even look at the item, ship it back to me, and NOW mysteriously, it's not packaged correctly.. really? Then to make things worse, UPS will not talk to me because they will only talk to the shipper. Which in this case technical was shipped by the UPS store. Now here is the biggest disappointment.. the store would not stand up for me and demand at least me shipping charges. So, now I am out $110 with no recourse at all. I will not use UPS again. If they are the last shipper on Earth, I will absolutely not ship from a UPS store. I would drive it there myself before using this particular UPS store... shame on you.. if I were the owner of this store, I would invest in some customer service classes.. read more

I received a tag on the apartment door letting me know I had a package waiting to be picked up at this UPS store. I picked it up the following day and it was only part of the order. Trusting that this girl at the front desk was competent and would check to be sure she was giving me my full order, I assumed the order had been shipped out in separate boxes and were arriving separately since I had only received one tag on my door. Almost an entire week passed before I checked the tracking number only to find out that the package was delivered there at noon the day I picked up my other package--so nobody left a tag letting me know they had tried to deliver anything and nobody at the store checked to make sure they were giving me all the packages that were there for me. I was less than impressed with this store, especially compared to my home store. I walked in with an infant carrier at three big boxes and neither of the girls offered to help (maybe I'm just spoiled at my store?). I had called beforehand to ask if they would print the mailing labels for me and tape the boxes since I am not staying at my house right now and they said yes but it would be $1 for the tape. I said that's fine no problem, but then they charged me $4. My husband just lost his job and I just had a baby so we have NO money so if they would have mentioned that it was $1 per mailing label when I asked then I would have printed it at an Office Depot or something. I know $3 seems insignificant but we need every penny and I was less than happy with how they handled it. read more

This is what Brown did for me... I work for a company that uses UPS for shipping. Hopefully not much longer. I pay for and print my shipping labels at home using my ups account and drop off my packages at the UPS store. This Round Lake Beach location refused to accept 5 12x12 boxes on a Monday afternoon stating they did not have room. There was a man with three boxes slightly larger in size that walked in just before me and they took his. I wont name names but the woman working behind the counter then said no offense but we need to take care of our paying customers first, you can come back in an hour and we should have room. I'm a reasonable person and that still makes no sense what so ever. These packages did not pay for themselves.... We are all paying customers. I just hope UPS learns how individual branches are interacting with all of their customers and works on improving their customer service. Since I prepaid and printed my own labels they want me to come back and waste more time when I could just leave them now and be done. Great way to do business. FedEx, DHL.. its good to have other options. I would recommend avoiding this location if you can. read more

This place has the most miserable people I've EVER dealt with. I'm usually in-and-out here with drop offs but there's been a few times I needed to ship things to residential addresses and they are extremely unhelpful and depressing. When you ask questions or need help with packaging, labels, etc you can see right away they are there to make you do all the work and find the easy way out of a challenge they may face as an employee. Do yourself a favor and take your business to the shipping point in gurnee or pretty much any other UPS location. These people are a bummer and fail at being a decent human being. read more

He was very condescending and passive aggressive towards me and made me very uncomfortable. I left as quickly as I could and in a matter of 5 minutes (I'm assuming they waited until he walked out) I get a phone call from one of the staff members with a very sincere apology. She assured me that I did nothing wrong and that he's a "regular" who is very unpleasant. I know that they didn't have to call me, but I so appreciated that they did. never ever use this store. had them package and ship a statue to our home, and it arrived in pieces. had paid for insurance,,, good luck getting the money. i had to do all the work to take pictures of the packaging, the shipping label, the size of the box and number they used. then i had to find a picture of a statue and price to prove it was worth what we insured it for. u.p.s. should pull there permit to be affiliated with them. read more
