Had a very weird situation happen at the store. I was in line to return my amazon packages, and a man walks in and goes right through me to who i assume is a manager or the owner and asks them to make a copy. He proceeds to tell him that the lady on the right would help him, and as she finishes working with a customer, he goes right in front of me and she silently completes his request twice. Absolutely no acknowledgment from both of the workers that I've been standing in line waiting, that the man needs to wait his turn, and I was just standing there like an idiot waiting for them all to finish. After she was done with him, I put my packages down and let them know that I was standing in line and it was not cool for them to let a person just walk past me without apologizing for the wait or asking me to let him through. The worker did not say anything to that, she was completely silent, and I just walked out. This whole situation felt very upsetting, as this is not how you treat clients. Just an acknowledgment and a little "sorry about the wait" would be enough. read more

Customer service is horrible. Rude front desk people. I initially asked for help in getting a package out of my car, and they handed me a cart and did not help. I then tried to return a package wrapped in plastic like a UPS driver told me to do as it was too big for a box, but the UPS store counter did not want to take it and told me they didn't like the way it was wrapped and needed to be in a box. The UPS driver happened to walk in right then and said no problem he would take it. Driver had to scan package as counter person would not do it. You can see by the various responses the owner gives to reviews on yelp where people are complaining about him that the peoples reviews are accurate and he is a very rude and unhelpful person. read more

He allowed another customer to email to them to print it out but would not let me. He was only eager to leave the store and close up shop. I had to put all my boxes back into my car because he was too lazy to help me for one minute. He helped a gentleman next to me but he would not let me and told me the email and system were not working. He is full of crap and I would never ever ever refer anyone to this dump. His name is Ghazi and should not be in this line of work. I called the UPS store corporate headquarters to report him. This guy should not be in business and no one should give this guy a dime. He has no customer service skills, is lazy as hell, and a liar. He could have helped me with at least one box where I only needed to email them in order to print. I am disgusted by the actions of the employees and the "manager" here. UPS should really keep a closer eye on who can represent their name in these franchise locations. The Millennial generation does not have to be snail mail savvy since most communication is done in other ways. So there is a reasonable expectation that they should not be taken advantage of when mailing something the old fashioned way, especially if they show up at a "trusted" brand name store. A young relative of mine received a tax document in the mail. I asked her to mail it to me so I could send it to the IRS with the proper tax forms. As expected she did not own a stamp or an envelope. Luckily she did know how to put the address and return address on an envelope. She told me that this UPS store was across the street and she would just go buy an envelope as her roommate actually had a stamp. I told her they should not charge her much for the single standard envelope. I got a text message 10 minutes later and she told me they insisted it would cost over $10.00 to mail the 3 pages to Reno and NEEDED to go "ground" shipping in a box. I immediately called her and told her to leave there and not pay $10.00 to mail anything. She said they already charged her. After telling her to get her money back the employee told her it was too late, I told her to ask for the manager who doubled down on the lie and said it was too late. I asked her to put the manager on the phone, as he began to further the lie to me, I stopped him and told him I am well aware of the policies and procedures of a UPS store franchise. I warned him that if he failed to refund her money there would be calls to San Diego and franchise support. Eventually he did refund her money but continued to be impolite. Needless to say she will NEVER go back. She walked back to her apartment and put the 3 pages in an envelope she bought at the 99 cent store. Put a single stamp on it and mailed it. There is no justification for attempting to rip her off. Not only was it not what she needed in any way but they told her it would still take 4 days to get to Reno. Regular stamped mail takes 3 days or less to journey the 500 miles from LA to Reno. I seriously doubt the slogan "What can brown do for you?" has anything to do with building a bad reputation and fraudulently charging customers for unnecessary products and services. She felt dirty and ashamed that she was taken advantage of. It was not until I was able to explain to her that these employees and managers are not actually "UPS" and she can still feel safe if a driver in brown brings a package to her door. But I am extremely upset by my experiences with this UPS store location today, and I am rating their performance as low as I can. I had to ship a large framed artwork, that my wife had made, across the country. I packed it in a large box and even though I said I was in no hurry, and wanted the cheapest price, I was charged over $400. I accepted the price because I needed to ship the item. I'm moving, and I had already sent the moving truck away. Later I found a second artwork of hers and I put it in an identical box. This time I got a different person and they offered me a ground rate option that the first person didn't even tell me existed. The cost was now closer to $100. They offered me no refund or even an apology -- just a lot of pushback about how I had made a wrong choice earlier, when I had been given no options. read more

When it was time for me to pay, he added a computer fee of $2 "usage fee 1-15mins" plus the $2 printing fee. I said, "oh, there's a computer usage fee?" Mind you, I did not use the computer, just needed a document to be printed. Maybe it's because I sent the document to the ups computer and he used the computer to access the document I sent him? Either way he should have said there's an additional fee of $2 in the first place. Now my total comes out to $4+(tax). I could've left for misleading me to believe that the cost would be around $2 but I did not have a choice as I was in a hurry. So I paid and left. Lesson learned. I will never go back here. Except when I have a package that's already pre-labeled. I wouldn't be so annoyed if he would have told me about the "computer fee" in the first place rather than saying the printing will cost me $2 Update: accidentally sent a bad review to a different ups near CSUN. The guy reached out to me, trying to make sure if I was at the correct UPS and was willing to refund my computer usage fee because they do not have that in their facility. Since UPS are privately owned, they have different prices. I made a mistake of coming here. Next time I know where to go to print my documents with no computer fee. The notary here has no idea how to do his job as a notary. Case in point: He notarized some court documents for us back in March, but they got rejected because the notary language was wrong. When we provided him with the correct notary language (per the CA Courts), he refused to notarize it. So, we took our business to another UPS Store and had no issues with getting the packet notarized. Two stars, because if you're simply sending a package, this is still a good spot for that. He makes jokes out of people's difficulties. I would suggest taking your notary and shipping business where it is appreciated. Definitely not here. Ghazi also charges more than any other UPS in the area because he is a franchise owner and sets his own rules to get over on people. I have a lot of patience for people and have given this store multiple chances but he repeatedly disrespects everyone, I have seen it in line with other customers and also to me. I do not recommend coming here. The girl that works there is very sweet and she is the only reason I gave them another chance. Despite being a constant client of this location, today I left feeling beyond ripped off. It is evident that they charge even for the air we breathe. Today, I needed a stripe of tape, and they charged me $2 plus tax. I was in disbelief of such fee and asked them if it was correct. The young ladies were afraid to tell me I was right but charged me anyway and passed me the business card of Mr. Ghazi. These fees are not fair but rather abusive. Came in for a simple transaction. Rude employee gave me attitude when I asked why they would charge me a dollar for 3 short pieces of tape. At first I laughed because I thought she was joking. She did not smile back. I asked if she was serious, she said "yes". I protested and explained I've never been asked to pay for such a small amount of tape. Then as I continued the transaction she engaged me with a rude tone. Another woman working there was polite and tried to take over the from the rude employee. Rude girl continued to argue with me and then brought out the manager (ghazi j.) who also continued to argue with me. He insisted I observe all the packages that were stacked in the office and to observe all the tape customers used. Then he dragged me into a debate about charging customers for tape and explained a customer used half a roll on a box. "Should he be charged" he asked me. I told him he should judge each case on a case by case basis and should totally charge someone for using half a roll of tape but maybe not nickel and dime a customer who uses 3 small pieces. I told him such a small amount of tape should be factored into operating costs. I don't really know how a simple in and out transaction escalated into an argument and then a debate. I suspect the rude employee got the ball rolling. After looking at other reviews I guess I shouldn't be surprised I had such a lousy experience. Looks like they have been abusive and rapacious with other customers. I recommend the only polite representative who was working that day take over all customer related operations. Other two have no business dealing with the public. Especially the really rude girl (young, black hair, glasses I think, rotund, bad attitude). Listen to your negative reviews jizzy j., these people are trying to tell you something. You're abusing your customers with your price gouging. Also, don't lecture your customers jizzy. read more
