Today is the Pride Parade and they were closed. I usually work during their buisness hours so today was the only day I could go and pick up a package that required a signature. As I am taking a picture to whine to my friend about how the one day I can walk down to pick up this heavy package w/a cart (parking is impossible in this area)... an employee pops out of the office and helps me?!?!? I've used this UPS store several times to drop off Amazon returns. They are exceedingly courteous, fast, and reliable.

Customers getting their shopping items shipped to a UPS Store for "Free" pickup BEWARE. To say it's free shipping to a UPS Store and then get there and get slammed with a $25 fee (not a nominal fee btw) is unacceptable. And they would not release my package unless I paid it. It is unbelievable that you would bait and switch a customer this way. Then I called UPS and was treated rudely and told that the stores are allowed to charge what they want for package pickup, despite the website I ordered from saying it would be a "free" pickup. read more

I've preferred UPS over FedEx for many years now, and my preference will continue after the pleasant experience I just had at the Thornton Park UPS store. I had to send a couple things from the small start-up I work for across to a manufacturer across the country, and needed to get some pricing quotes to relay back to my boss at the office before we decided to proceed sending the packages. The lovely young woman at the counter was extremely helpful and very patient after I had to ask quite a few questions. The store was clean and also conveniently located inside an apartment building close to the Publix and across from Metro Expresso. It was as pleasant as a business transaction could get. I'll be sure to choose this UPS store whenever I need to send mail when I'm downtown or in Thornton Park. read more

I recently used this location to ship a saddle. I asked that they find a box and pack the saddle, but I was purchasing shipping through PayPal with USPS. The staff was friendly and efficient. The associate that handled packing the saddle, Virginia, allowed me to leave it there (I came during the rush lunch hour) and offered to call me with the dimensions of the box and weight so I could enter the information correctly for a shipping label. As promised, within an hour I had a message that the saddle was boxed and ready to go. She left the dimensions and weight in the voicemail, making getting the label easy and convenient. When I arrived, the box looked good. Of course, I could not see how it had been packed without opening the box. So I affixed the label and mailed it USPS ground, fingers crossed it would survive the trip! I just received confirmation from the buyer the saddle arrived. She said it was the best packing job she had ever seen for a saddle, even though she had bought repeatedly from professionals and saddle reps. So, hats off to these associates for their above and beyond packing expertise! If you have an odd-sized valuable item you want to make sure is packaged to arrive at its destination intact, I highly recommend this location! read more

The location itself is so convenient! Right next to Publix and they are open til 730!! And the most important reason I'd never change stores is because the gentleman that works there!!! He makes it so easy to check in our packages and is a very mild mannered, always smiling & willing to help. Their staff is always so friendly, relaxed and available to help you with your needs!! Also they share things like tape, marker pens and scissors with no extra cost. Every time I go in the evening there is a 0 wait and I'm out of the store in less that 5 minutes!!! I tell all my friends to go to this location for their needs also I left my flash drive once and they were so king enough to hold on to it and contact me!!! Amazing !! read more

So, the Ups store doesnt have free Ups boxes. I'll go to Fedex/kinkos from now on. Seriously, I usually ship via Fed Ex at their Kinkos locations. Staff is always helpful and they offer, get this, free SHIPPING supplies. Little things that come in handy, for instance, boxes. Here's a nutty idea: when your main competition offers something for free. You might want to offer the same service. The guy behind the counter actually suggested I go to the UPS office by the airport for boxes. Ummm, but I'm here. In your store. Miles from the airport. Why would I...oh never mind. Instead of insulting me with your contempt, perhaps you might want to realize that I can go right down the road and get the service I need elsewhere, I know, it's not his fault the store doesn't offer free boxes, but perhaps if he just acknowledged that he knows the competition offers this service but his store sadly does not, I may not be writing this review to tell everyone what a tool he is. read more

Horrible customer service and deceitful. I frequent this store quite often and let me tell you it is painful. The store manager, Ty, acts like he absolutley hates his job and couldn't care less about helping people. I think his favorite part of the day is when the store closes so he doesn't have to be bothered with people dropping off packages. It's ok, smile dude! Anyway, I went to this store last Friday and there was female working the cash register who was very polite, another guy at the other cash registrer whom you could tell from his constant complaing and attidue in front of customers that, this was not HIS store, and then the store manager sitting at a table behind them, with headphones on and watching videos on his phone. Anyway I asked how to get a package delivered to New Jersey and have it there by Saturday, yes I know it was Friday and I am in Florida, but I still asked. The intial response I got from the female was, "it's going to be too expensive." I thought well ok, how much is too expensive. She told me that it would be $190 for guaranteed delivery on Saturday. Well yes she was correct, it was quite expensive, but the package I had to get out was time sensitive and I had to have it there by Saturday so I paid the $191.00 for Saturday shipping. The package arrived at the desitination in New Jersey to be shipped by 8am and everything was going as planned. Saturday night, no package, obviously Sunday no package, Monday morning no package, so I went back up to the store and lucky for me I got to see ever so friendly store manager, Ty. I explained to Ty the situation and by this time, from some reserarch on Sunday, I noticed that UPS had suspended the guarantee shipping on March 25 due to COVID-19. Why was I not told that in the store when I asked how much it would be for a guaranteed deliverey on Saturday? Anyway Ty reluctantly said he would send an email for a dispute and call me today, Monday, with an update. He verifieid my phone number and I was on my way. Wednesday - no phone call as promised on Monday, so I stoppped by the store and once again had the pleasure with meeting Ty. Ty knew right away he dropped the ball and said that he had not heard back yet, which he noted was a good sign since denied disputes he hears back from right away, and then said he would send another email and call me today (Wednesday). No phone call Wednesday and no phone call Thurday. Ty called on Friday, today, and told me that the dispute was denied due to the suspension of the guranteed delivery. I questioned why I was not told that at the time of purchase, to which he replied, she is new. So the new employee sold me a gurantee for $190 that isn't even a guarantee and the excuse I got was she is new and I am just supposed to be like oh well and go on about my day. Well Ty, maybe you should 1- train your employees and/or 2- not be on your phone in front of customers watching videos, knowing you have a new employee on the floor that is giving false information to customers. So moral of the story, a new employee charged me $190 for a delivery that was never guaranteed to be there on Saturday and it's my fault for listening to a store employee of UPS in telling me the package would be there by Saturday. Got it! I will never go to this store again and will be sure to spread the word to other local business about the shady business practices of the UPS Store on Central. read more

Had a crisis on my hands. My shipper made a mistake, and put my package on a truck for delivery instead of tagging it to be held at the warehouse. Howard Cromwell, store manager, sprung into action. Knowing I desperately needed the package, he was able to track down the truck, sift through the packages and found the one that was mine. Extremely over the top service. He didn't have to do that, but he did. I'll never forget that gesture and bail out, and will continue to recommend this store in the future. Thanks Howard!! read more

Do not ever use this UPS store. We went in specifically because in the past UPS has delivered packages without requiring a signature to our daughter in New York. We explained at great length that the package absolutely had to be delivered without signature because it was perishable, she would be at work, and we were only coming to UPS because it did not require a signature. We requested that "no signature" be notated on the box. We were assured no problem, a signature would not be required. Imagine how upset we were when 15 days later, the box of very perishable mangos was delivered to our front porch (without a signature) with a note that it was undeliverable because no one was available to receive it. Hello!!! --- that was the very reason we explained we used UPS!! When we called the store, in spite of the manager acknowledging that they accepted the package with the understanding that no signature would be required, we were told the real "policy" was that it was at the driver's discretion and UPS was not responsible. We were out the entire ruined contents of the package and $20 of shipping charges. If the UPS store can't explain UPS policy at the time of shipping, why should it be our loss? Shouldn't the UPS store be a representative of UPS? Just use FedEx and deal with professionals. read more

This store is dishonest and fraudulent. Do not do business with. They will not use packing materials that they charge you for!! I can stress this enough. Stay far away. Never use this UPS store. They lost my $150 pkg and didn't pay me a penny back. I filed a claim and appealed their decision but they told me too bad we will not pay anything because your pkg was damaged and we through it in trash. Wherever you go keep away from this store.
