Made an appointment last week for notary services. Drive 20 minutes here only to be told they can't provide the services. In a time crunch for a real estate transaction and they left me in a lurch. Useless. This after walking in to an empty store with 5 people waiting in front of me. What is the point of advertising a service, making me make an appointment and then not providing it? If the woman had taken 10 additional seconds to read what was provided she would have seen the point she was arguing with as wrong rather than condescendingly explaining notary services to me. read more

Had to ship my pool vacuum for repair, no idea what I was doing. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They're always busy and always take a second to assist. It seems most people that come in need assistance and the lady behind the counter is a multi-tasker that can take care of multiple issues at once. Amazing customer service, and pleasant People to talk to. Sam, Denise and Jose were great! They fragile packed a fairly valuable guitar for me that exceeded my expectations. If you have an instrument or something fragile and valuable wouldn't trust anyone else to provide this service. Extremely profession from start to finish and my items were handled with care as if they were sending it themselves. Go somewhere else! Their notary completely screwed us with our mortgage company. He let my husband sign the papers but told him to bring me back to sign my portion. When we went back the notary refused to help us stating that we both needed to sign it in front of him at the same time. Bc my husband already signed it under his direction this is impossible to do so now we have to hope that our mortgage company will send us new forms. read more

Although our interactions with the gentleman of the store is usually pretty good, every time I deal with the lady in the store, I always have an issue. She is so rude and nasty. So much so that now, I specifically request Kholes for my Amazon returns and since I get a coupon, it makes it even better, This time that option was not available. I should have just driven to the Matawan store which is farther and closes earlier. I had an order that came in 6 shipments, I requested the return and they gave me a code that said 6. she told me I needed 6 separate codes, and I tried to ask her to check each one because there was a code on each one. She told me to go home and pack in 1 box or buy a box and tape from her and repack. As usual she was her nasty self. Gave my husband a hard time when he brought in something to be packed and shipped - she could not be bothered, however the guy ( maybe the owner) heard and stepped in to assist my husband. This is not the first time she gave us a hard time or told me she could not accept a return. The last time I drove straight to Matawan, and had no issue with the same return. Unfortunately Matawan was closed so I came home and contacted Amazon, who also agreed that she could have taken then return as is. Luckily, Amazon made arrangements for UPS to pick up the return (all 6 boxes) free of charge. So from now on, although the Old Bridge Store is closer and has later hours, I will go to the Matawan Store if I ever have to use the UPS store again. read more

Went to this UPS store this past weekend to get a single document notarized. However, the notary at UPS misunderstood the document at first glance and refused to notarize it. After explaining the nature and purpose of this simple one-page document, she still refused to back down from her position. I was not expecting a public notary to be so stubborn and rude. Once I realized she would not cooperate, I left and immediately went to a more professional notary at my bank. The notary at the bank actually read and understood the document. They notarized it quickly with no problem. It's amazing how drastically different the two experiences were: one being unnecessarily difficult and the other being pleasant and professional. I suggest always going to any notary other than this UPS store for the latter experience. read more

Even today when an irate anti-masker came into the store huffing and puffing, double parked and being a rude ass to the staff, they were calm and respectful. The ups store miss labeled a $650.00 guitar that was purchased by me from Reverb. The ups store instead sent me a pair of ladies shoes that were a returned for a refund. The FTC says by law "You have the legal right to keep it as a free gift, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Sellers aren't permitted to ask for payment for unordered items, either, and the FTC says consumers are under no obligation to even tell the seller about the wrongly delivered merchandise.Dec 1, 2016" So the seller refunded my money though reverb. When the seller sent the item from the ups store he paid for the insurance. Sam the ups store owner is now holding the insurance money for ransom until the shoes are returned. This goes against regulation by the FTC. He is not sure who brought the shoes in to be returned or where the guitar went. The shoes were labeled as a 16lbs. package that does not weigh 2 lbs. In the box with the shoes was no paperwork to track the other package. Sam "thinks" the other package went to a company called Zappos. From my understanding The UPS Store "Sandeep Malhotra" can not hold for ransom the insurance money until the shoes are returned. The FTC has also been notified I have also filed a complaint with the attorney generals office in NJ. and the BBB. I will also be filing a complaint with consumer affairs too. Sandeep Malhotra "Sam" the owner is a real piece of work. He has been very rude about the whole matter when it was his mistake. Beware of this store and the rude owner and his business practices. After reading the few reviews here it is clear to me that those posting them are the kind who expect something for nothing and are generally miserable people unhappy with themselves looking to blame anyone in their path for their misery and unhappiness. I have been doing business with Sam for 3 years. He is always pleasant and professional in his behavior and business dealings; always going out of his way to meet the needs of his customers. He is not one, however, to let the likes of those seen posting negative comments here to take advantage of his good nature, just as any good business person would not allow the same type to do. Sam runs a very professional business with a large number of good, paying customers who, like me, are very satisfied with the services Sam provides. Most of Sam's customers are good, decent business people who are very busy tending to their own businesses and don't take or have the time for the kind of salacious crap that these idle posters apparently have on their hands. If Sam's loyal business customers did have the time, the posts here would be overwhelmingly positive testimonials to Sam and his operation of the UPS Store at Ticetown Rd. A simple Amazon return drop off turned into complaints about my pancakes not being prepared and a $1 fee for every price of tape used. Such a nonsense, arrogant and nasty these two at the location. Came first time to return damaged amazon delivery two hours after house drop off. The item came already wet and slightly leaking. Male recipient after inspecting the box directed to come back after I make it dry. My argues that the box returns "as is" were not accepted. Ok, I came home. Dried and repackaged; added a trash bag to be on a safe side. Next morning upon return they were both in the office and clearly recognized me. Female recipient walk around the box and proclaimed she can not accept the box again since it has a hole on the side. It is sad but I would picture it next time. The so named "the hole" was a crack on a cardboard side. This crack was not even through. I didn't say a word. Never argue with arrogance, such a people will never accept your concerns. Walk away from them and drove to neighboring UPS. Not a single word asked over there. The guy covered the crack with a paper adhesive and accepted the box immediately. I really wanted to come back and stick the return receipt to someone's forehead, but managed to live my life and avoid those two forever. Wish they would marry each other. If this place wasn't so close to my house I'd go somewhere else. UPS website states ALL UPS STORES HAVE SATURDAY PICKUP. Well, not this place. Probably costs extra for the owner. I ship here quite often and the owner is such a greedy guy. Charges you to breathe the air in the store. You literally can't get or do anything in this place without a charge. You'd think he would take care of the customers that are there often being that it's an independently owned business. He has no clue what customer service is. Smiles as he overcharges you for anything he can. Dropped off a package on Saturday at noon. Didn't get picked up and scanned until MONDAY NIGHT. Called and he said, "there's no pickup on Saturday. Well, that's not what the UPS website states. (Copied and pasted from UPS)...."As a rule, all The UPS Store® locations have Saturday pickups also". You would do well to understand clearly, there was no "MISUNDERSTANDING" as to the FACT that Sandeep's establishment was unable/unwilling to notarize my document, even for the TWENTY DOLLAR fee I was informed they would charge me, and no "MISUNDERSTANDING" of the FACT that I immediately drove a few miles down the road to his competitor, Pack & Ship Store at 520 Rt 9 in Manalapan, where they happily notarized the very same document for a mere FIVE DOLLARS and I was in and out within 5 minutes! read more

I travel a lot and I'm always shipping things at UPS store. We received horrible service here. The woman was rude and giving an attitude. Every UPS store I've been to has a computer where you can login to the site and print your own labels. I obviously was confused when she said she didn't and it wasn't possible. Instead of trying to help me find another solution to create my label all she kept saying is that I had to email it to her. Finally I figured out that I can get my own laptop (which I happened to have on me because I'm on my way to the airport) to make my own label and email it over. Once we were done, we were waiting for our receipts and she looks to us and says he's helping you, referring to the other man working, and who was on the phone, and started to assist someone else. We were obviously in a rush and she was being petty. All in all, they could be nicer, assist without an attitude and offer options if they aren't going to have the same equipment available at every other UPS store. They also asked how much we paid for shipping, which is honestly inappropriate and none of their business. If I know what I'm doing, finding solutions to my problem without their help, they shouldn't be asking how much we paid. read more

The UPS store employee Sandeep did not release my package claiming that my name is not matching the shipping label info even though i had provided DL with matching delivery address. It took me two days to release the package then i found he only needed ID with proper address no name match was required. He played an idiot and was bitching next day when i mentioned that he could have asked tracking number instead of asking name. Very unprofessional staff that has to be retrained! read more
