We have had a lot of turnover at this post office over the last couple of years. The people who left - the wonderful one who dressed up each Halloween and who fed the geese, the wise one who put my mail in the right box even when it had the wrong PO Box number on it, the caring one, and the funny one have all retired. The new people are nice, but it's just not the same. As a post office it's wonderful the lines are rarely long and they are open until two on Saturday. They do not. Jacky also claims that the camera they have on site is poor quality. And that she or her coworker were supposed to call us ahead of time to let us know that we needed to secure the photo elsewhere, but we never received a call. Her excuse was that they were swamped/busy yesterday. Secondly, she directed us to go to the Walgreens across the street to get the photo taken, and that she would see us right away once we came back. That Walgreens refused to help us - they claimed they do not take baby photos. So we were given the run around. We luckily went to the CVS down the street who was more than accommodating. However, when we returned to Jacky with the photos, she rejected them and said they were the worst that she's ever seen. While they did not meet the required standards, Jacky did not have to be so rude after she created a stressful morning for us. She kept trying to push us off to the Kingston location to handle us instead. If you ever have a newborn, then you'll be familiar with how stressful it is to ensure that appointments happen between the timely limitations of feedings & nap times. We spent our entire morning driving back and forth and coming in and out of the Kendall Park Post Office, and ended up with a grumpy baby and no passport application processed. Then the clerk and I discovered that the shredder bin did not have enough room for all my paper. He told me he was not allowed to give me a refund. He did his best to stuff my papers into the bin, though even his herculean efforts were insufficient. He was clearly trying to provide me with excellent customer service.
