Id LOVE to know what that means as I remained polite and even told them to have a nice even after he yelled at me.... As for the clear language barrier, me using the sentence "they are some mean, older people" doesnt mean all old people are mean, rather it means YOU are specifically... ill go easy as a first generation myself cause they clearly are not understanding/ reading the words correctly... ill leave it there. I really like this UPS Store, and the couple who runs it are kind, great at what they do, and always down to chat on a slow day. As somebody who lives and works in Jack London, I think they represent how much of a difference it makes to have small businesses run by people who really care about the neighborhood and the people in it. I've returned packages, printed things, shipped expensive and oddly shaped items, bought supplies.....lots of random things, always a fair price, and I always leave feeling satisfied. I always receive good service at this location but my most recent experience, I would say was exceptional! I had a large Amazon return that I unfortunately didn't keep the box to. I received a great deal of help with not only choosing the right size box and the necessary bubble wrap to keep the item secure but also in packaging the return. I appreciated the extra assistance and for keeping additional charges to a minimum. read more

This is probably the nicest UPS store I've been to in this city. The people that operate it are always very kind and friendly to everyone (which doesn't happen at other locations). They actually enjoy the work they do! I had an issue with returning room dividers to Amazon but 1) they were the most awkward shape and 2) someone stole the box I was saving for the return. The manager helped me figure out a solution on how they could be packed using four boxes to tape them all up and handled the packing for me, so that I wouldn't lose out on my refund. I was in a big pinch, came in with a problem and he helped find me a solution, I'm very appreciative. read more

The owner of this store takes no accountability for the packages that the customer trusts to be delivered here. I love the husband and wife that work here, they've always been so kind and lovely. However, I recently had 2 packages that I did not receive but in their system showed that I "checked them out". The first time was a wash, I get it happens, but most recently I had a $200 package that they could not find but their system showed that I had signed for when I picked up about 10 packages a few days prior. I came back to retrieve the package that I saw was not in the latest haul and ultimately they were able to find it after insisting that the system showed that it was picked up. I appreciate their feedback that I should know the exact number of packages that I need to pick up but I offered feedback that they ensure the number of packages they are giving me matches the number of packages they are signing me out for. I offered this suggestion respectfully because I truly respect the husband and wife that work there. Their son, the store owner, was also there and told me to "just leave" while I was speaking his mother. That he's sick "of the instagram girl acting like she has any authority here". I'm disappointed that we cannot continue our relationship as customers, the disrespect and lack of professionalism as the business owner is appalling and I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone that needs a secure place to receive packages. read more

This is the best UPS service I have ever received - Excellent service like this is almost impossible to find today. It's a long story, but I showed up with 2 large Amazon return packages at the store's closing. Amazon did not give me a proper return label and my boxes were not sealed properly. The manager was so professional and patient. I got Amazon on the phone and they sent me return labels and we bought tape to finish securing the packages. We were there well beyond closing. This man was truly an angel and his UPS store very worth frequenting. read more

I have rented a PO Box from other stores in the past but I really like this place. The nice man and woman who run the store are very nice and were very helpful and made the process easy. I told them I would be out of town and needed to add someone to pick up my mail and they added my friend and made us feel comfortable about the process. read more

Just had the most wonderful return experience. Manoj greeted me upon walking into the store and stated he would be right with me. While assisting the other customer, he was able to begin processing my returns. Three returns from three separate vendors. He processed my happy return and Amazon return. I had to mail 2 separate birthday gifts to different states, and neither was packaged properly when I arrived at the UPS branch. Manoj went above and beyond--graciously helping me find the best packaging solutions with patience and professionalism. Even though the store had technically closed, he stayed 15 minutes late, assisting me with a smile the entire time. His excellent customer service and dedication truly made my experience stress-free. I Dropped items with pre-paid shipping costs and labels I bought online. I measured items with exact dimensions and weight and used those values when paying for shipping. This Store then reported inflated dimensions and weight on my items after I dropped off. UPS ended up charging me for additional costs for shipping due to this erroneous reporting by the store. Be careful to measure and document your measurements of packages before dropping off any packages to this store - or avoid dropping your items here. read more

This is the worst UPS store I have ever been to. The man who works here makes up his own rules to make it as difficult as possible. He refused to take my boxes on multiple occasions. Once claiming they don't accept boxes from the manufacturer. The next time he wouldn't accept my package because it didn't have the original Amazon stickers on it when it clearly states to remove them. I had to leave and drive all the way across town to a different UPS who instantly accepted my package with no issues. DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to go back home to repackage your item because this dude is on a power trip! Save yourself the go to ANY other location. read more

The UPS store in Oakland was very helpful. UPS itself is a mess. The notarized document was sent via urgent delivery and was lost in Los Angeles. Not only was the online tracking indicating the package was out for delivery which was a lie, it turns out after 5 calls later the notarized legal document was in fact lost. When calling to find out the status UPS uses staff who dont know more than whats online wasting my time. Eventually my matter was escalated to someone who is at the location and finally the truth was told. Recommendation: dont use UPS as they cant deliver as agreed and worse they lie about status leaving you without opportunities to address timely. Bunch of amateurs at best. read more

This location just opened and I live in the neighborhood. I am packing and moving a lot of glass and fragile things and I went in to ask about bubble wrap and other things. The owner was SO HELPFUL! Had lots of options and was just so excited to help me out. I ended up going back a couple times for bubble wrap (it was perforated and worked amazing). The price was right, the service was amazing, and even in the heat of moving, it was a very pleasant experience! read more
