Jay was absolutely amazing and so patient. Her knife took about 2 hrs to make and we had such a great time it felt like 20 minutes. He had great stories and kept us engaged. He communicated clearly with rules, expectations, and what each step was that she had to work on next. He had us laughing so much. Vic was another brother that was great. He kept my youngest, 9 yr old, engaged and had her complete attention. He was patient and helped her stand correctly and how to hold the hammer. And he had to repeat himself many times but never lost patience with her. He showed us how to make different nail swords and let her help too. This is a family business and honestly it is a must for any visitors, tourist, or even Texans that never see what's around them (like us!). I totally recommend bringing your family or friends. I was given enough steel to build pretty much whatever I wanted and got to pick whatever kind of material I wanted to use on the handle. As long as I picked a design I could finish in the 2 days I spent there, Chad was there to help me build what I wanted to build. Not only that, but this ends up a legit, strong, properly heat treated knife. He had me drop my knife tip first into cement, and then smash it into a concrete block multiple times to test the heat treating process... No real damage... try doing that with your store bought knife! He provided all the drinks and food for us all while we were there, and he didn't cheap out. He got really good food from restaurants in the area. We also had full access to his pool and hot tub, which was a welcome way to cool down after a day standing in front of a forge. Not only did I build a super cool knife, but the Caylor family welcomed me into their home and I immediately felt like I was a part of their family. The money you spend here goes straight to funding their non-profit, Reforged, which helps military and first responders that are suffering from PTSD. So not only do you get an awesome experience, but the money you are spending goes toward a good cause. For real though, this place is amazing. I'll be back.

I took my 1TB iPad Pro in for a battery replacement. The repair took longer than promised, and…read moreduring the process they broke my screen. After waiting several more days for the replacement glass to arrive, I finally got my iPad back--only to discover my Apple Pencil no longer worked. I'm an artist. I use my iPad with an Apple Pencil all day, not my finger. The person claiming to be the manager actually told me that because I never said I used an Apple Pencil, they installed cheaper glass that isn't Pencil-compatible. The audacity of that excuse is unbelievable. Why would you replace a screen you broke with one that strips away one of the main features of an iPad Pro? And no one ever asked how I used it--they simply told me they broke the screen and would replace it. Any reasonable person would expect it to be replaced with a screen that preserves the device's functionality. When I asked them to make it right, the manager raised his voice, talked over me, and insisted the screen was "fine" because I could still use my finger. He was arrogant, condescending, and completely unprofessional. I came in for a battery replacement. They damaged my iPad, made it less functional than when I brought it in, charged me $167, never apologized, refused to fix their mistake, and yelled at me for expecting them to. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I now have a very expensive iPad that no longer serves its primary purpose, and I had to pay for the privilege. CPR, at a minimum, refund my money. Better yet, the owner should step in, make this right, and seriously reconsider whether this person should be managing customer interactions.

My husband spoke to them about it, saying the owner is entitled to her opinion and and it's not that we disagree with her (tho we did), but that kids don't vote and we think a daycare should be free of politics. Nothing changed. We stayed there until 2015 because it was convenient and reasonably priced, but it got progressively more wacko when they started pushing all this religious stuff without ok'ing it with parents first. My kids would come home and talk about Jesus and Bible study and we were like, wha??? When we called the school on it, they said our kids could be pulled aside during bible study and do something else. That meant watch a movie (not learn anything or have any instruction time) and be ostracized. This came to a head when we were about to move and it was only my daughter there still, so we opted out of Bible study and grit our teeth for the last few weeks. Oh, did I mention we ARE Christian, and we had problems with this place because, you know, separation of church and state and all that, and TACE doesn't advertise itself as a religious school. The school itself is fine if you're looking for a conservative Christian daycare that tries to indoctrinate your kids ala Fox News. It really should advertise itself as a Christian school, though. My kids left this school in 2015, but I'm reviewing now because I've had too many friends who have now been mistreated by TACE to remain silent.
