The people who work there are friendly and very helpful, especially when you are a little older and smartphones are just too smart.

Staples is the only game in town when it comes to finding a large selection of everything office…read more We dropped in to pick up tax software. Although it was a few dollars cheaper on Amazon, we wanted to make sure we purchased one that would absolutely work with our computer system. The store is always clean and well organized. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the lack of happy people working there.

The female associate (I forget her name, wore glasses that's all I can remember) asked about if I'm going to ship my laptop in the original box or inside that box in another box, I asked again about the bubble wrap because I wanted to get that taken care of first, then she gave me an attitude and said she's trying to figure out if I'm shipping my laptop in the original box or inside another box. After a moment of communication, I decided on shipping my laptop inside my original box inside another box. I get the smallest bubble wrap amount possible with a shipping box and packing tape, went to her to check out, and she asked me if I wanted to go to FedEx and see if they got any supplies or if I want them to pack it. I thought about it for a moment, she said "you have to buy the supplies if you plan on using the supplies." I said I know that, and she said not everyone knows that. Disappointed with her demeanor, I said forget it, have a good day. She gave me attitude and disrespect in return, I said "I said have a good day, I'm leaving." She stopped So I talk to the manager in charge I think named Daylam? I remember the first 2 letters of his name being Da and the last 2 letters of his name being am, and I remember a Y as well and his name being 6 letters long, but my memory is scrambled a bit because of what happened next. I told the manager what happened with the associate being disrespectful to me, he asked "how was she being disrespectful?" I repeated the details (at this point I'm trying to summarize so this doesn't wind up being like a chapter long in a book), he decided not to do anything. I turned to my right to walk away and said something on the lines of I can't believe you're not even going to talk to her to resolve this, the manager says "alright let's just drop this!" I said hesitantly "I am dropping this, I'm just trying to leave." (I was because I was walking towards the entrance) The manager says "you're disrespecting my associate!" I replied "if you don't stop I'm going to call corporate." The manager yells out as he gets from behind the counter briskly coming toward my direction around the corner "I'm about to call the police, get out of my store!" I forget what I said next because I was walking out as fast as I could to get out of the hostile environment the manager created, and I was 2 feet away from the entrance and he was a good distance away from me, and he screamed out "GET OUT OF MY STORE!" I called corporate around 10:15am or so and talked to Mike about this. He apologized for what happened and is forwarding my complaint to the senior manager to investigate. I sure hope this "manager" gets terminated, because not only did he act borderline criminal (if I had not walked quickly outside of the store, I fear he might've tried to physically harm me between him quickly running around the corner to come at me and his screaming and threats to call the police and such), he acted like I was a criminal when all I did was address the problem earlier and state I'm about to call corporate and let them handle this situation. Since when can someone consider a customer a criminal when they state they're going to call corporate to file a legitimate complaint against the manager whom is supposed to be setting a good professional example for everyone else? From here on out, I'm going to call ahead of time if I ever need to go back to Staples for anything, which I'm definitely certain I won't need to do so considering I can go to certain Walgreens locations or Walmart for the same supplies. If anyone goes to Staples, steer clear of Daylam (however his name is spelled), and if he is still there and gives you trouble like he did me, do not hesitate to call corporate to file a complaint against him. What disgraceful behavior displayed today by that "manager".
