BRING YOUR OWN BOX. I went in without my own box today, and the items I was sending were placed on the scale and measured. Shipping came out to $95, which seemed high but I thought might make sense given the holiday season. Then they added the cost of the packing materials, which took the price up to $159. I was shocked. I was sending everything in one box and the items measured about 10x11x14. When I questioned the price, an associate told me that due to COVID, the cost of materials had gone up. So I left, managed to get my own box, and returned an hour later. With my own box, with the exact same items in that they had measured, the price came out to $32. Something shady going on there. I did give it two stars because the employees were patient with my frustration and the line moved really quickly. read more

I have been to this UPS Store multiple times, and somehow, every single time, it's a mistake. This last visit finally did it for me. I was shipping important documents internationally. One of the very first things I said was that the package MUST have a declared value of $0. Somehow, a declared value greater than $0 showed up on the screen anyway. The employee helping me had absolutely no idea why. She wasn't troubleshooting it. She wasn't checking anything. She was basically guessing and was perfectly willing to proceed with information that was wrong. I told her I needed a second line in the address. She told me the second address line could only be 10 characters long. Again, instead of stopping and figuring out why an international shipping system supposedly couldn't handle the address I was required to use, she was ready to just work around it and send the package. I had to double-check her work every step of the way. Meanwhile, the line was backing up, but what could I do? These were important documents and this lady's lack of training was the problem. I felt bad for the people behind me. That's the exact opposite of what I should be experiencing when I'm paying $90+ to have UPS Worldwide Express deliver important documents to another country. I should be able to walk into a UPS Store, give them the correct information, and have some confidence that the person behind the counter knows how to process the shipment correctly. Instead, I felt like if I wasn't watching everything she entered, there was a 50/50 chance she would screw it up. The manager did step in (several times) and was helpful. He clearly knew what he was doing, so I don't put all of this on him. But he also looked extremely over-extended. One experienced manager cannot do everyone's job for them while simultaneously trying to run the store. And if employees aren't being properly trained, management ultimately has to address that. But I think the bigger problem here is hiring. This isn't the right people in the wrong seats. It's the wrong people on the bus. You need to hire people who actually give a damn about doing an accurate job. People are handing you packages, legal documents, expensive items, irreplaceable things, and paying a LOT of money because they want some assurance that their shipment was processed correctly. They shouldn't leave wondering whether the employee just guessed their way through it. My package did ultimately arrive, but that doesn't excuse the experience. I shouldn't have to personally quality-control a UPS employee's work to make sure my package gets where it's supposed to go. Everyone in the Mill Creek community is welcome to line up single-file around my house and around the block, if necessary, to kick me in the balls if I EVER suggest going to this location again. Every goddamn time, it's a mistake. They do not have their act together. Whether it's their systems, their training, their hiring, or some combination of all three, it needs to be fixed. And hey, FedEx location scouts - if you're looking for a great place to open a store and put a UPS Store out of business, THIS IS THE LOCATION. Do the community a favor. This place used to be good. However, it has been nothing but problems over the last few years. The lack of service and overall incompetence is unbelievable. Communication is beyond frustrating and no one seems to know what is going on. Thomas told us we had to jump through multiple hoops just to keep our mailbox active, but only after they stopped forwarding our mail out of state. We did not even find out for months. Once we finally got answers, we spent two hours of our day running to a notary, sending documents, and providing updated billing information as requested. They mailed us the mail they had been neglecting to forward us due to payment, once payment was received. Fast forward to today, and they still have not updated the billing, and our mail is still not being forwarded. After all that time and effort, nothing was resolved. Sometimes, staff are unhelpful, almost as though they enjoy withholding information that would really help a customer to use printing equipment or to better understand services available and at what prices, or even just to make the process of dropping off a package for shipment a little clearer. Every time I visit the location, your store employees seem irritated or bothered to help you. They move at the pace of slugs and don't even acknowledge you. They refused to help me pack my box, even after charging me to pack it. I work in the service industry and the bare minimum would be a simple hello and a thank you for your business. We have used this UPS store for the past 24 years, never a problem until this year. We shipped 6 boxes and a set of golf clubs on October 16, 2024. The boxes arrived at our home in Tucson on October 19 as scheduled. The golf clubs never arrived. In checking with our UPS store here In Tucson a multitude of errors happened at the store in MC. Clubs should have been shipped in a box, shipped with the shipping tag in a sleeve which they were out of, insurance should have been offered. None of these things were done and we're out approximately $5,000.00. Also, my husband was assured he would receive a refund of $400.00+ that was the shipping charge for the clubs, never received. I would not recommend shipping anything of value thru this store. read more

I will never go to this location again. Everyone there is very young and they have no customer service skills. They don't greet you or look you in the eye. They have no personality or empathy. I went to use the self service and there was no paper to print the label and the plastic bags were everywhere. When I asked about the labels there was only one person out of 4 that knew how to load the paper. Not very friendly, this is the second time I have gone in and the service is awful. I walked into the store close to their closing time with a number of items to be shipped. Fadi provided details and steps I needed to take in an extremely professional and kind way. I typically go to the Alderwood location for my mailing errands, but I would like to come back to this location given my amazing experience. I needed to get some legal documents scanned. The young woman helping me had freakishly long nails and could not remove the staples from the documents and asked me to do that. Why hire a person who can't handle packages or documents properly?? She had absolutely NO IDEA what she was doing and was completely disinterested in helping us. I asked for binder clips or paper clips for my docs and guess what? They don't have those! Oh... but they do... just sitting there but they won't give one to me. Worst service ever! read more

So I've been coming to this location to mail pkgs to my college kids for YEARS. Suddenly, they have no record of previous addresses that I've mailed to--asked for my ID to enter my mailing info and the transaction took 10 minutes vs 2 or 3. Today, 2 new young women repeated a blatant LIE to my face saying sometimes your data gets lost. Uhmmm-never happened before and guess what?? Won't happen again because I won't be coming here again. Neither will my friends and neighbors when Inlet them know that their kids information "just disappears sometimes". Train your people better and/or get more reliable software. We brought about 25 boxes into this location to be transported from WA state to TX. The total including insurance on the packages was about $1,200. Out of those packages, the only boxes that did not have items completely destroyed were the 4 boxes packed with books. All of the boxes were clearly labeled with which way was up and well as clearly marked Glass/FRAGILE etc. Even the box marked KEEP FLAT was delivered to my home on its side. All of our photo frames with our college degrees, marriage certificate, awards, etc were broken. Priceless items from deceased relatives were completely shattered and broken. Several items were so completely broken into so many pieces, it's almost laughable if they weren't so sentimental. We reached out to the owner, John, to request a refund our broken items. The first week, he requested we send photos and videos which we did. As well as an itemized list of all damaged items with an approximate value of the items destroyed. The second week, he then requested we send him links or photos of prices of the items as well as mark the items broken on the boxes they were in. Thankfully, I still had the boxes and I sent him the information requested. The third week and this fourth week we have called and emailed with no response. We sent him photos and videos of the boxes being unpacked with item after item destroyed. We are now reaching out to the BBB and our attorney to begin the process of filing a claim in small claims court to recoup the cost of our damaged items to replace them. The process of taking photos, finding links to 20+ broken items, emailing and phone calls has also cost us 4-5 hours of work, of which I earn $30/hour and my husband $60/hour which have not been reimbursed either. This has been such a stressful hassle on top of moving across the US, I would not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I've been here once. I have a mail box at the store in North Bend - which is nothing short of amazing. I didn't think my experience at #2355 would be any different. First mistake. I go here to take 3 items in to be returned to Amazon. There's a long line both inside an outside; about 10 people deep both, so totaling about 20 ppl. It's noon on October 1, so lunch hour. No big deal. I finally get in and I process my 3 Amazon returns. I get the drop off package receipt for slippers, lightbulbs and predator urine (rodent repellant) and leave. Fast forward a month and 7 days later, I get a nasty gram from Amazon that they never got the predator urine from me and I have 4 days to return it or I'm getting charged $110 for it. (Which happens to be the most expensive item i returned that day) Ironically they received the other 2 items on the drop off receipt. I contact UPS with the tracking number and I find out the driver never received it on October 1. I called this UPS store (#2355) and the clerk who answered couldn't have been more disinterested. He continued to try to hang up on me and eventually told me, "you must have been given the wrong tracking number". Oh, ok. Soooo, that makes everything ok? But the other tracking numbers on the same drop off receipt were accurate? How does this resolve my issue? How are you, who is responsible for this mess, going to remediate this upcoming $100+ impending deficit out of my bank account? When I walked into your store with a return to Amazon, which was handed to you, and was given a "receipt" that CLEARLY states to "save for your records", but you're now telling me this tracking number could be incorrect, so I will be held responsible for YOUR incompetency. When handed you this product, YOU assumed responsibility for it. It is now OUT of my hands. And now you're telling me its MY problem because your clerk possibly gave me the wrong tracking number, it's MY problem? That's not how it works. YOU took on the burden of accepting returns for Amazon. YOU take on the burden for "incorrect tracking numbers". NOT the customer. YOU figure this out. NOT me. Obviously has no clue why I needed a notary service - you're here to stamp my document after verifying my ID, end of story. We have used this store for copying in the past for school projects and PTA projects. However, I have never shipped there. Today, I needed to drop off an Amazon return. The Amazon site when I processed the return said I didn't need to box this item. I paid for return shipping, it said to not worry about boxing or printing off a label, just go to the UPS store. However, when I got there, they refused to box the item. I explained what it said online and instead of having some customer service and just helping me find a small box, they were rude and condescending. I had to find my own box and make it work. I went in to ask if I could just drop off a package that was prepaid like I do at the Seattle store by my work and a woman working there was quite rude about it and told me to get in line. I have never had a good experience with UPS Stores in general. They seem to be a private brown version of the Post Office without the patriotism. Recently, I needed to ship some equipment. The lines are long and the service is slow. UPS asks too many questions about packages. They're not interested in serving customers. One employee told me they were just a privately owned franchise and if I had questions, then I should go to their website. Originally I was frustrated with the service because I called before I went in to figure out how much everything was going to cost to get a document copied and scanned and sent to my email. I was no informed on the phone that there is a $5 fee to scan the document. Not huge, but I called specifically for that reason. What really set me off about my visit, is that I spent over 45 minutes trying to get this process completed and it still wasn't done by the time I left. I'm very disappointed in my first visit to the store, I was even asked if I could come back while waiting for the equipment to get up and running and I left for 10 minutes and came back and still wasn't able to complete my business that I was there for. I am extremely disppointed in the Mill Creek store. I called in advacne to confirm they could pack and ship a picture frame. It was confirmed they could. After bringing it in around noon on Oct 27, they informed me they could not ship even though the dimensions were what they confirmed via phone they could. They tried to explain box size and dimensions, etc. I asked why you would tell me by phone the could when it measured what they confirmed they could. One guy said he never guaranteed it--whihc he never stated so. Other guy ( which seem to be in charge) said I could pack it and bring it back for shipping. I again quizzed the guy I talked to by phoe and then the other guy chimed in that I was hold up the line. What an insult. Lack of customer empathy and service. Take your business elsewhere. Used books & DVDs ...cost around $200 per month. 4 years now to my friends. Never an issue. The villiage idiot argued with me today that I was required to write each title for every book and DVD or customs would not let them in. I do not have an hour plus to stand and watch you type worthless info in that is not required! Even though its further away having moved to Mill Creek I will be returning to the UPS stores on Capitol Hill that are happy to ship my items. I prefer smart employs over stupid ones.
