I was sending everything in one box and the items measured about 10x11x14. When I questioned the price, an associate told me that due to COVID, the cost of materials had gone up. So I left, managed to get my own box, and returned an hour later. With my own box, with the exact same items in that they had measured, the price came out to $32. Something shady going on there. I did give it two stars because the employees were patient with my frustration and the line moved really quickly.

One of the very first things I said was that the package MUST have a declared value of $0. Somehow, a declared value greater than $0 showed up on the screen anyway. The employee helping me had absolutely no idea why. She wasn't troubleshooting it. She wasn't checking anything. She was basically guessing and was perfectly willing to proceed with information that was wrong. I told her I needed a second line in the address. She told me the second address line could only be 10 characters long. Again, instead of stopping and figuring out why an international shipping system supposedly couldn't handle the address I was required to use, she was ready to just work around it and send the package. I had to double-check her work every step of the way. Meanwhile, the line was backing up, but what could I do? These were important documents and this lady's lack of training was the problem. I felt bad for the people behind me. That's the exact opposite of what I should be experiencing when I'm paying $90+ to have UPS Worldwide Express deliver important documents to another country. I should be able to walk into a UPS Store, give them the correct information, and have some confidence that the person behind the counter knows how to process the shipment correctly. Instead, I felt like if I wasn't watching everything she entered, there was a 50/50 chance she would screw it up. The manager did step in (several times) and was helpful. He clearly knew what he was doing, so I don't put all of this on him. But he also looked extremely over-extended. One experienced manager cannot do everyone's job for them while simultaneously trying to run the store. And if employees aren't being properly trained, management ultimately has to address that. But I think the bigger problem here is hiring. This isn't the right people in the wrong seats. It's the wrong people on the bus. You need to hire people who actually give a damn about doing an accurate job. People are handing you packages, legal documents, expensive items, irreplaceable things, and paying a LOT of money because they want some assurance that their shipment was processed correctly. They shouldn't leave wondering whether the employee just guessed their way through it. My package did ultimately arrive, but that doesn't excuse the experience. I shouldn't have to personally quality-control a UPS employee's work to make sure my package gets where it's supposed to go. Everyone in the Mill Creek community is welcome to line up single-file around my house and around the block, if necessary, to kick me in the balls if I EVER suggest going to this location again. Every goddamn time, it's a mistake. They do not have their act together. Whether it's their systems, their training, their hiring, or some combination of all three, it needs to be fixed. And hey, FedEx location scouts - if you're looking for a great place to open a store and put a UPS Store out of business, THIS IS THE LOCATION. Do the community a favor. Put a FedEx store here to serve the community better.

In long This is some new construction with lots of mixed retail/residential buildings scattered around big-box stores. Winding streets, and this store is set back from the road a bit. You could easily drive by it. Not too much parking but maybe ya get lucky. There's a nice mini-courtyard here, and the way they designed these buildings has a good feel to it. You walk in through an automatic door into a small, clean lobby with a printer and a counter and not much else. There's another half-counter toward the back with a couple clerks. Yesterday, the gals working were so cheerful, friendly, and nice. Huge contrast to the UPS store closest to my house, and easily worth driving an extra 10 minutes. They're open an hour later, too. This place is organized and run very well. They give you clear answers right away and help with everything. I'll make the longer trip to use this store when I need to ship stuff.
