If I could give them less than one star I would. (The LLC company) Our incident is at the newest…read morelocation in Reedley. We decided to lease one of the large double roll up door warehouse units to run our Disaster Team FieldOPS during the March 10th FEMA activation (one of our NPO divisions). We planned to transition that to a thrift donation hub for our 501c3 nonprofit at a later point. We paid for one year in advance. We were told there was no restroom facilities 24x7 (which our operation is) so we decided to lease class A office space in their "allegedly" state of the art Master Suites 365 facility attached to the storage operation to allow staff, partners and volunteers restroom facility access. All seemed ok. First issue - they have very untrained staff. They do not read contracts. They fail to collect the correct funds at signup and contact you after. A day after "oh we forgot to get the office deposit". It caused issues as we just had a board vote and suddenly there's another $790 added to the suite costs not put in the budget. We had a board of 3 but in that same session it was increased to 3 more via a slate. Thus requiring 6 members to be inconvenienced do to the negligence of the Master Storage 365 operation. Small annoyance but things happen. (Well that was just the start) Then during move in their "state of the art" access control system would crash, opened access gates non stop while in the office suite. The app would crash leaving you stuck in areas for 5 to 15 minutes. No way to override. So in an emergency they advise just leave your vehicle inside and abandon it and go out the side door. SERIOUSLY??? We worked tirelessly to help this place be the shining star they present it to be. (FYI It's not.) It's 3 owners that DO NOT GET IT. They say some really off the wall things that are now getting them sued for over $45k (to start). During the intense rainstorms, while working in the office water began pouring in my office. An office that had well over $100,000 of drone and tech equipment. I immediately called Dustin the facility manager on his personal cell phone around 10:30pm to advise of the incident and ask the process. The facility puts the managers personal cell phone on his Master Storage 365 business card. (That's an odd thing to do) Dustin advised me they would take care of it first thing in the morning. April 5th, almost a week later I was advised by their council to vacate the premises no later than May 5th as I had not allowed them access. Odd. The entire facility staff have been granted access since day one via the "Give Staff Access" option in the site access app. It was required (waivers also signed) in order to receive packages. Case in point, the staff and owners have a complete communication disconnect. One that is going to be costly to resolve for them. They have broken the law with the lawyers assistance. Strong Arming, Bait and Switch are messy areas they have now entered. It is illegal to retaliate on a tenant during arbitration do to the negligence of the operator. We learned one of the business partners was the contractor (still requesting records to confirm this). It appears he violated code and cut corners. NO WATER SHOULD EVER ENTER A CLASS A SPACE FROM OUTSIDE. NO WATER SHOULD BE LEFT WITHOUT RESOLVE FOR A WEEK. Clearly these owners are "slum lords" and do not back what they sell. I highly suggest DO NOT RENT HERE! One owner lives in a $2 mil Fresno county residence. I guess it pays to defraud customers! Master Storage has sent me a reply to my previous complaint about rent their unreasonable rent…read morehikes (see pics) Obviously, they are being dishonest in the amount that the rent was raised. The dates and amount of the increase on my receipt, contradict what they are claiming. (Please see pics) As God is my witness, my rent went from $210.00 to $300.00 in less than two years. First increase was $50. a short time later, the increase was $40. as noted on my receipt. You can also read the reply from Master Storage, who has refused to take accountability for a break in, due to the facility's failed app/sensors.
