I've been using this store for years (they had always provided great service) but was surprised today when the service was less than stellar. It seemed my amazon return was to be sealed in the box that I had brought and the person at the counter seemed to go out of her way to make me feel stupid for not paying attention to the amazon instructions. To make matters worse, they gouged me (as punishment I'm sure) by charging me $4.99 plus tax for a single strip of adhesive tape to seal the box. I don't need that kind of grief in my life with so many stores to choose from. I'm hoping it was just a bad day for her. I've also noticed I'm not the first to complain about the tape. Back in September there was a complaint. The manager's response was comical. High-quality material? Expert service? It's tape, not a jet airplane. They have taught me a lesson though: I put packing tape in my glovebox! read more

This place is a JOKE!!!!!!!!! My daughter MADE, with her hands, a tool holster for her stepdad out of leather. We live 6 hours away and she wanted to send it to him. The UPS STORE guy ( not to be confused with UPS) denied her shipping. He claimed "it's the same as shipping bullets." NO IT'S NOT! It's a leather strap! Like a belt. I'm sick of these libtards freaking out over a strip of leather and comparing it to bullets. How dumb do you have to be? Every time I go here it's busy and the employees are just wandering around not acknowledging anyone. They always blame everything on UPS corporate and say because they are franchised they have their own rules. They are so used to this they know the corporate number by heart. I highly recommend the FedEx of 29th on the other side of I5. They at least try to fix the problem and not just place blame on anyone else than themselves. If I could give no stars I would! Came here to send a return out. There were two people waiting ahead of me and it was during the holiday season. Had a pre-printed label on my package and so drop off was super easy and quick. I got my receipt after drop off, and my package was delivered in a timely manner. read more

Had a horrible experience with this location and their staff. I attempted to send out a very large package and spent almost $200 to have it shipped. The package was returned to the store due to the employee entering the address incorrectly. I was told there was nothing they could do because I visually verified the address, but my eyesight is currently compromised due to medical complications involving my pregnancy. I brought this up at the initial service because I was worried about a situation like this occurring, the employee did not offer any accommodation and told me "it should be fine". Now, due to my visual impairment and the employees lack of consideration, I am out almost $200 and can not afford to re ship my item. When I returned to the store for help with this the staff continued to refuse to help me. This company, or at least this location, clearly disregards people with impairments or disabilities and does not make any attempts to correct mistakes that were made on their end. I will urge my friends and family, especially those who are disabled, to avoid using this company's service to avoid being taken advantage of like I was. read more

The Lacey UPS store is filled with very negative people with very poor customer service skills. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but UPS needs to raise their expectations for how employees treat their customers. I have never left a bad review in my life, and I know I'm probably being a Karen, but after observing the 4 employees in the store treat each person who walked into the store (including myself) with extreme disregard and shortness, I was thoroughly unimpressed and I guess I hope a store manager will see this and enact changes accordingly... perhaps holding people accountable for their attitudes or offering incentives for great customer service. read more

I have been with them for years. The John Steinhart, the manager is excellent. I travel quite a bit and had to ask for mails to be forwarded. He is extremely thorough and gets the job done correctly as requested. I trusted his service over the years and I am grateful for it. I highly recommend this UPS store. read more

Let the buyer beware. I had an incompetent employee handling my shipping. She sold me an oversized box, which required more packing material and additional packing time. She entered two different incorrect addresses for sender and recipient (I gave her my address as sender and I was sending to my address as recipient). She did not ask me to verify the address. Manager Cystal says "sometimes these things happen". This UPS store apparently follows a "Don't ask, Don't Tell" policy. I was not offered alternatives. The empoyee charged for 3-Day Air; I was not offered UPS ground. The package arrived a week later. Manager Crystal says "sometimes a package takes more than a week". What does 3-Day Air mean? I was charged $219. When I got the package, I took my things to a local UPS shipper and got a quote of $78. Manager Crystal says "the charges were appropriate". It seems to me I was taken for $140. This ups is always good I personally enjoy it a lot but today my mom went in to get a few copies and told me the guy with the big loop earrings got mad because it was "to much". She also said that he was throwing them around. I'm not sure why he got angry that's his job and there wasn't like a limit or anything. I went to the Home Depot next door and purchased a 2 packs of boxing take for $10. I understand perhaps a small tape fee but $8 is totally ridiculous. We've had our wine club packages delivered here twice a year for 8 years because it has to be signed for and we can't have alcohol delivered to our work places. The last 3 times we've tried to pick it up they tell us it's not there and argued with us. This time, after checking at another location and double checking with the Tumwater Hub to confirm that yes it is there, they finally actually went and looked. Lo and behold it was there. Then the manager said he called to let us know it had arrived. Upon checking my phone, they had called but didn't leave a message. We will never use this location again. read more

He was respectful and patient and helped my mom figure out how to print a label. My parents say every time they go there and see Alec he is very friendly. I've never had a problem with the staff here, they're always kind and helpful! One time one of them informed me the box I packed my stuff in would be way more expensive than a bubble mailer. He could have just got my money and gone on with the day, but he saved me $20! They always help me out and I'm never in there too long which is awesome. read more

I couldn't be happier with this place. I walk in and they know my name and my box number. I'm embarrassed to say it but I don't know their names yet and I've been coming here for about 3 or 4 years now. I don't have to worry about my packages being left on my doorstep being stolen and someone is always here to sign for packages that require that when they are dropped off. I can take off on a business trip for a few days and don't have to put a stop mail slip in like you do the post office. I get all my regular mail here too and its dry and in good condition. I called in today to get help with a package that was sent here although I hadn't requested a pickup point delivery on it. The woman on the phone was very clearly in a rush and after confirming my package was here, she said they closed at 6:30 and hung up. She didn't give me a chance to ask how scheduling a re-delivery would work or to ask about hours on other days, as I had no way of getting there in time today. I have had extensive problems with UPS and it's extremely discouraging to have to deal with rude employees while I'm trying to fix a mess that was created by the company to begin with. read more

According to UPS corporate, and the tracking system, the weather delay did not occur until after the scheduled delivery time had already been missed. That is another thing I told you but you did not want to listen. Corporate ended up reimbursing me for the full amount without any hassle. I went in to get a document notarized. The guy did not seem to know what he was doing, had to ask questions to someone multiple times. A Notary just certifies that they saw someone sign their name, how hard is that. Legally the max someone can charge to notarize in Wa is $10. They charged $10 for something they didn't even know how to do. It was worth about $3 not $10. Go to City Hall they charge $3 there and know what they are doing. read more

I went in to send a package via UPS. I have dropped off packages before with no issues. However, tonight I had a very bad experience. I arrived close to closing time and was waited on by a worker. I'm not sure if he was having a bad day. He was not friendly at all. He first quoted me a very expensive price to send a smaller parcel, $35.00 and tax via Air Mail. I declined. The package was only going about half way across the US...and would not take that long. Especially, now with bad weather not being a problem, Spring time is approaching. There was no reason for an Air delivery. Next, I felt like I was being treated very rude by this person. I chose the more economical route and paid a more "reasonable" price albeit still high. However, the worker made it sound like it would get there in one week. I felt uneasy. I really wanted to leave the store and not go through with the transaction. I felt like I could not trust that my package would get to its destination. I was also made to initial paperwork with the tracking number. I was told that I could not take a picture of the label on my package, for my records. I was told that because the tracking number might get stolen and used. I couldn't believe it....I felt like I was being profiled. The label was placed weird on the package so that it was not laying flat on the package. The label was placed wrapped around the sides. It looked like it wouldn't be scanned properly because of this. I paid a pretty penny for this package. Oh, and I was told that I could not use my phone and record or take pictures in the store...I was told it was Corporate Policy of UPS. I never even had my cell phone out, I was not taking pictures and not recording anyone. I was beyond stunned about how I was treated. I hope my package gets to its destination. Trust your gut and go somewhere else. They made me feel bad. I don't like this. Go somewhere else if you want to be profiled. read more

Holy moly! The owner of this store is a tyrant! I went in the store today to drop off a package for Canada. I am a longtime UPS customer and therefore use their online service to print my labels (and pay for them). I guess that this was a mistake, because then the owner of the UPS Store does not make money off of you. I asked for some UPS plastic shipping pouches, and the owner came up and said no, you can order these supplies online. I was dumbfounded! I've never been denied for something this small at any shipping facility. I said why not, these are free?! Then the three male staff and the woman owner all said "NO, you are wrong, UPS charges us for these supplies, we are a franchise!". I said sorry, but perhaps I can have a couple at least? She begrudgingly gave me some but then started lecturing me about being more respectful. Folks, I am 52 years old, have run my own business for 25 years, and I don't need anyone lecturing me when all I am doing is trying to drop off a package for pickup and asked for some supplies. I explained myself. She did not care. She ended the conversation by yelling at me, telling me never to come back to her store! Unbelievable! I would not patronize this store if I were you.
