Any old-timers out there remember when there was an awesome arcade right across the street from this strip mall, tucked right behind the Wendy's? Trust me... when you were a kid back in the Dark Ages (no internet/computer/gaming systems apart from an Atari 2600) - and you lived a town away (where arcades were actually illegal) - it was a big deal. Cut to the present-day when I'm old and boring and need to regularly drop packages off for work (instead of continuing wasting quarters trying to master Dragon's Lair and Popeye and Dig-Dug) - this outpost has been solid. The workers are cool, the line moves at a steady pace, the store is clean, everything is pretty painless. Well, until you venture back outside... the main intersection is 'una locura total' and you're debating which of the three aprons (exits) will be the smoothest to get out of the area and on your way. read more

SERVICE IS TRULY DEAD AT THIS UPS STORE They are trained not to assist the customer. READ THIS!!! I arrived at the store 2 minutes before its closing time on a Sunday. It was locked, but they let me in. I had two items: an Amazon return and a fax. I was directed to self-serve for the Amazon return. The manager refused to send the fax. He stated that I was 2 minutes late and they were closed. If I was 2 minutes late, it was because I was locked out, and then I sent the Amazon package myself. Upon further discussion with the store manager, who was very polite, I was told that he would get in trouble with the owner if he helped me after closing time. Yes, you read that right! The owner would be upset with him for helping a customer 2 minutes after closing. (I continue to dispute the actual time of closing.) Essentially, they are trained not to assist the customer!! read more

I just received a response to my last review stating that my father would have been able to pick up my packages if he had the same address as me. That's exactly the issue here. I called beforehand to let the staff know my father would be coming, and I also provided my ID. We do share the same address because we live together, yet there was still no consideration given. What's most frustrating is that no one even took the time to properly check my ID before refusing to release my packages. I've never experienced these kinds of issues at the South Street UPS location. Instead of making excuses, please focus on resolving the situation and showing customers that you actually care about providing professional service with people with disabilities. read more

Staff is friendly But two things happened in my last trip and I do not think it's okay. I was charged 50 cents because my "purchase" was under 5 dollars for putting it on a card. BUT... The only reason I had to pay anything is because they made me pay for the printing of my return label which I have never ever in my life had to do. And then they charged me another 50 cents on top of the 1.50 for a transaction fee. There is no transaction fee on a debit card pin transaction. That is a complete robbery of a charge and apparently illegal based on my search. read more

Mainly use this location for Amazon returns. My return experience has been superb. It is by far the easiest and quickest transactions ever. I walk in, show them my barcode to scan, hand over package, they print a receipt and off I go. The store itself is not huge as other stores. Yet, employees move so fast I don't ever wait longer then 3 mins. Parking is always available as this store is located within a mini mall containing a lot. The essential oil smell is always a nice touch when walking in. Supplies are always available. Employees are also so friendly and helpful to all. read more

I had to mail out some valuable picture frames to Georgia . I was the only person in the store I was warmly greeted as I was walking in. I explained the situation to the young man behind the counter . We immediately got to filling out the paperwork. He was extremely helpful assuring me these frames would be extra wrapped by him despite I had done so at home. Now I know it was charged on. I ended up paying 90 .00 dollars to assure a Monday delivery. Plus all that extra crap they tagged on . Did I pay the price absolutely but then ups tends to be bougie expensive & this place follows suits. Would I have gone with fed ex absolutely unfortunately I was pressed for time. This place was local and convenient, I thought not realizing your paying for the smiles & the aroma therapy diffusers they use. The customer service is good at tagging on unnecessary costs, they just do it with a smile . My experience was enough to know they exist but would be a last ditch effort . Clifton staples is better suited and cheaper then this place . I rather have value in service that it's not secretly included . read more

On a Saturday, I was attempting to help my handicapped brother ship an oversized item. We tried a different UPS location (in Newark) and we were told they didn't have a box that would accommodate a fishing pole(which was understandable). The woman behind the counter in Newark advised us to try this location instead. We asked her to call to confirm if they had a box that would fit and she refused saying the locations weren't connected. My first thought was why couldn't she just use a phone and call, but fine no big deal. Before loading my brother in the car and heading over, I looked up the phone number and called the store. I got someone named Rafael and I explained that I was shipping a fishing rod and asked if he had a box that would fit. Rafael immediately began to come up with the idea that he may have a solution that required 2 boxes, but that he could help us more once we were there. Upon entry to the store, we were greeted with a smile and courtesy and Rafael went far above and beyond in my opinion to help us get the item packaged, secured and on its way. I am extremely grateful that my brother was able to ship the fishing pole as it was a birthday present for a friend's grandson. This seemed like a giant task until Rafael got involved and provided A+ service. I would definitely recommend this UPS Store. read more
