When I showed them that the price online was only $127, they suddenly dropped it to $197. I accepted because I urgently needed the package delivered. They assured me it would arrive by 09/11-09/12. Now the tracking shows it's not scheduled to arrive until 09/23. When I called the store for help, they gave me zero assistance. All I got was, "just wait". They charged me nearly $200, promised me a delivery date, and now the package is still not here when I needed it the most. This store is irresponsible, misleading, and only cares about charging you money upfront. Once they get your payment, they wash their hands and blame "the delivery." Nobody tells you the truth, and they don't take responsibility for anything. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay away from this UPS Store. They act more like scammers than professionals.

Trust me... when you were a kid back in the Dark Ages (no internet/computer/gaming systems apart from an Atari 2600) - and you lived a town away (where arcades were actually illegal) - it was a big deal. Cut to the present-day when I'm old and boring and need to regularly drop packages off for work (instead of continuing wasting quarters trying to master Dragon's Lair and Popeye and Dig-Dug) - this outpost has been solid. The workers are cool, the line moves at a steady pace, the store is clean, everything is pretty painless. Well, until you venture back outside... the main intersection is 'una locura total' and you're debating which of the three aprons (exits) will be the smoothest to get out of the area and on your way.

SERVICE IS TRULY DEAD AT THIS UPS STORE…read more They are trained not to assist the customer. READ THIS!!! I arrived at the store 2 minutes before its closing time on a Sunday. It was locked, but they let me in. I had two items: an Amazon return and a fax. I was directed to self-serve for the Amazon return. The manager refused to send the fax. He stated that I was 2 minutes late and they were closed. If I was 2 minutes late, it was because I was locked out, and then I sent the Amazon package myself. Upon further discussion with the store manager, who was very polite, I was told that he would get in trouble with the owner if he helped me after closing time. Yes, you read that right! The owner would be upset with him for helping a customer 2 minutes after closing. (I continue to dispute the actual time of closing.) Essentially, they are trained not to assist the customer!!

I've now used this Midtown Post Office three times and I will never bother again...in fact, it might make me move towards using a home service like paypal or stamps.com to print out my own postage... I get it, you have to deal with a lot of pain in the a$$ people in the course of your workday, but that's no reason to treat people like crap, to have a crappy attitude, or to complain to me about your job. First off, bullet proof glass...seriously? This isn't Wells Fargo it's the Midtown Newark Post Office. Anyway, all three times I've been here the lines were pretty long and they didn't move quickly...and all three times I've been here the workers at the windows have just been in bad moods. You'd think when you work at a job that you almost CAN'T get fired from that you'd be in a bit of a better mood each day.

A weekend when most of the folks would be walking in to a post office, this place was a total disaster to serve just two counters for such a long queue of line. There was a nice old lady who was standing for quite some time with a nice fluffy puppy that got everyone's attention and petting. Just as the lady was approaching the counter, the lady from inside gave a stern warning to not have the puppy inside the post office. The poor lady stood there helpless and in disbelief not knowing what to do and the employee wasn't buying any of her pleadings. Later one of the folks standing in the line offered to do her money order on her behalf. When it came to my turn, I had an envelope that had to be pasted and they didn't have a glue to get it pasted. The same lady bluntly kept declining to even answer on why they wouldn't carry a glue. Now, which post office wouldn't have a glue?? I stood for more than 10 minutes and was asked to get it pasted and get back in line. I felt so disgruntled but didn't have a choice but get out of post office, get it glued and got back in line yet again. Thank you USPS for a memorable weekend experience!

You can't even feel good about getting called "next" because your hopes and dreams have already been shattered to the point of "whats the point in living anymore." 2 workers... a huge, bullet proof window... an angry line of at least 20 people on their lunch break... multiplied together: each person should expect a 40-minute-to-life sentence... I'm only glad that most of these lifers make the choice to not bring their children... why am I still in line again (or "on line" as Elliot W. would say)?
