The absolute worst post office I have ever encountered. I have been living around here for quite a while and my regular mail comes at 7 PM and my packages sometimes don't come at all. It'll update in their system stating that the delivery was attempted, but I don't have any slips to pick up my package and I'm 100% sure that they did not attempted the delivery due to the fact that I work from home, these guys are at the absolute worst in the business and I would feel much better if they just shut it all down in my area for this branch only read more

It's a shame that I have to drive to another post office when this one is right down the street from me ..This post office never has workers and the line is always out the door. I go in there today and there is one lady working and another lady sitting there in the other window doing nothing ..nothing at all and then she says I'll do anybody who needs money orders and of course nobody needed that . If I could rate with a zero, I would. The mail carriers at this location are beyond lazy. I actually handed a pre-paid Priority Envelope to the mail carrier, who I watched place the envelope in his bag; only to come out later the same day with it returned to my mailbox. These jobs are not for individuals who do not wish to work or provide quality service to the public. Worst post office I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. After waiting in line for 45 minutes to an hour if you're greeted by the older gentleman your experience is sure to get worst, he has the most vile and disgusting way of talking to people and it can easily be perceived as slightly aggressive and demeaning (all other employees are pretty much ok). Now after providing them with proper information to find your package you have to wait another 20-30 minutes for them to come back and tell you they can't find your package. This has to be the worst post office in the world. A bunch of incompetent thieves work here. If you live in this area I'm sure you've had checks stolen by them, lost or what the post worker thieves say (misplaced) packages. The post office really just hires anyone off the street. I can't wait to move out of this area and maybe I'll receive my mail like I'm supposed to. I have filed complaints against this office and it's management in every place I can think of. I am asking fellow Newark residents who use this Post Office to speak up. This Post office is responsible for losing hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise I have ordered over the internet. They have never offered me a resolution or even and apology. Negative stars, if that was possible. Multiple times there were no attempts to deliver packages. Tracking would just update to "available for pickup." If delivery is rescheduled, item gets "lost" and never arrives. Nobody ever picks up the phone and there's no voice mail. Someone out there has their home furnished with "lost" items. read more

I ordered a computer part from Amazon. They listed it as delivered but no package. I had to go to the post office for them to tell me that the mailman called out sick and he was going to bring it. He did not bring the mail the day I went to them but the next day. The package was opened and wet due to the rain. If it were not for the seller sealing the computer part in a bubble wrap and another plastic seal, I would have wasted $120. I didn't want to leave a bad review because I honestly thought it was just a mistake. But for the mailman to just leave my package like that it's just adding insult to injury. read more

I had a perishable item 2-day express shipped to me, via USPS, and on the day of delivery it was not delivered. They said a notice was left, and I did not receive one. I rescheduled a delivery for the next day, and nothing came. Two whole days later, and still no package received. I have been trying to get in contact with this post office, for hours, and they do not answer the phone. Now that it is Saturday I must wait two whole other days for my item to POSSIBLY be delivered. I have no idea where my package is, nor does the USPS website give me updates from the original day it was to be delivered. They do not know how to do their job! In the last 10 days - 2 of my packages have been stolen. The items were ordered off the internet. I've gone to the post office with the tracking numbers that I got off the USPS TRACKING site and was told that the carrier who delivers my mail goes by the name of Anthony. When I put the tracking numbers into USPS - the carrier is falsely indicating that the package was left in my mailbox. After the first package was missing, I stupidly re-ordered from the same company again (thinking maybe this was a fluke) and much to my chagrin this one has been stolen also. I'm now out of $108 and I don't know how to get a refund. This is a federal offense and no one at the post office seems to want to help or cares at all. It's just a job to them. I filed an official case today with USPS (regarding the first missing package) today. They're going to conduct a GPS triangulation to see if they can find location of package number one. Now I realize that I'm going to have to call back tomorrow to file another case for missing package number two. I'm so frustrated and really angry. I wish that I could get assistance from someone who actually gives a damn!!! read more

I called to make sure my package was still there cause I work not so flexible hours and was placed on hold twice for 20 mins than after being placed on hold the lady asks me do I have my tracking number after already asking me my address and name. I've read through the old reviews and clearly nothing has changed about this office in years. I am waiting on a delivery that contains perishable food items (macarons) that I have yet not received. It was supposed to be here about a week after I ordered, and it's now been about 2 weeks. I looked at the online tracker and it said "no access to delivery location" or something but it's literally just a porch. All of my other mail gets left on the porch with no problem. I'm wondering if my stuff will be rotten by the time it gets here. So now the last update available on the tracker is from 2 days ago (they took my item back to my local PO and I was going to have it picked up from there, but it's been moved from there since 2 days ago to a sorting hub apparently). I had my dad go to the office before it had been moved again and he said they gave him some sort of ticket for it and he could come back and get it another day? I am very annoyed. I will start off by saying I have lived in this area for over 13 years and it is always something with the employees out of this Post Office. I've had them lose certified letters , not deliver mail for a few days, and then give attitudes as if I'm in the wrong for wanting to know where my mail is. This current mail person is beyond ridiculous. She delivers our mail sometimes as late as 8pm at night. Now I'm not sure how the route situation is set up but I literally live a few blocks from the post office so if anything we should get our mail way before the sun goes down. Besides that I am writing this review because I'm not sure what else to do. I've complained on the phone and in person. At this point I just want to make people aware that do not set you expectations with the staff or experience when dealing with this office. read more

This post office is the WORSE! The mail carrier that works the commonwealth street is beyond lazy. He never delivery the packages to my house. Instead he just leave a slip in the mailbox. This happens just about every time I get a package via USPS. I have complained several times over the 10 years of me living on this street. NOTHING has been done. It is a major inconvenience because have to take PTO just to pick up a package because it is in my name.
