I wish I would have asked the names of the three young people working. THEY WERE ALL THREE AMAZING!!! I went Monday, January 5, 2026 at 5:30. Closing time was 6:00. There was a line wrapped around the entire perimeter of the interior of the store. I had to get my package mailed, so I decided to take a suck-it-up pill and stay. The line NEVER decreased. As people were serviced more would arrive. They were so efficient at their tasks, it only took 16 minutes to get from the back of the line to service counter. I couldn't believe how quickly I was out the door! The environment was calm and quiet, with those three employees (2 young ladies & 1 young man) steadily working to meet the needs of each customer. It was amazing watching them working (WITH SMILES ON THEIR FACES) through the consistently increasing customer line! No complaints, no grumbling, no fussing...just wonderful customer service and polite interactions! The customers took on the attitudes of the employees and stayed patient and polite! The tone was set BY THE EMPLOYEES! These young people deserve a round of applause and kudos!! They are all assets to UPS! read more

This location is always busy, which is understandable considering it's the only UPS Store within about 20 miles. The line is usually wrapped around inside, sometimes even out the door, but the staff always works quickly and efficiently to help everyone. They stay calm, patient, and willing to assist with whatever's needed. read more

UPS has repeatedly delivered my packages to the wrong address. This is not a one-time mistake. It happens consistently, and it has become completely unreliable. Packages are marked as delivered, but they are not at my home, and I'm left spending time trying to track down items that should have been delivered correctly in the first place. A delivery company's most basic responsibility is getting packages to the correct location, and UPS has failed to do that over and over again. This level of carelessness is unacceptable, and I no longer trust UPS to deliver anything important. read more

This is the only UPS store in the parish so it's the only place I go to when I have Amazon returns. I'm not sure if they have new owners (possibly) but the customer service has gone downhill the last few times I've been here. I watched the employee greet and say "thank you" to a few customers ahead of me when she serviced them. However, when it came down to me she did the opposite. I greeted her "hello" and didn't get a response. I also said "thank you" once she gave me my receipt, still no response. Very rude and the long line was terrible. read more

DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT pay for 2 day shipping!! It's not guaranteed. Says The Hammond,LA location and corporate office. This should be verbally told to customers before paying $30 for shipping. Someone at the Hammond location put my order on the wrong belt which delayed my return. And refused to refund me. I spoke with 6 customer service representative and no one know the policy. I went through the steps to return my item on Amazon which explicitly stated that I needed no label or container as Amazon is going to a less waste form of packaging and the UPS drop-off place in Hammond (by Albertsons) would supply that packaging so I didn't bring anything but the sweater neatly folded and sealed in the bag it came in. I also had the label brought up on my phone as I've done dozens of times at the Ups store where I lived in Denham Springs, LA . The lady said I'd have to step out of the line, emsil her the label, I'd be charged $1 for that service and I'd have to purchase a box from them or agree to have the label put directly to the clear packaging the sweater was in. mind blown, I elected to leave. read more

They remodeled the store but somehow it made servicing customers worse. Always big lines and the lobby area is even smaller than before. A dedicated line for Amazon returns would help. read more

I was yelled at today by the owner of this UPS Store in Hammond, La. I went there to pick up a package and the owner said is wasn't there. I showed him on the UPS APP that it had been delivered to his store. He looked for it and said it wasn't there. I asked him where was it and he lost his temper and started yelling at me to get out of HIS store. He said when he finds the package he was not going to give it to me and he was going to ship it back. The employees and other customers were stunned by his behavior. Absolutely awful service. The distribution center which I'm going to assume is part of this store, are the worst with customer service. I cannot put into words how disgusted I was with whoever called me to take my complaint. This driver put my package in the ONLY wet spot on my porch, threw several broken pieces and styrofoam on my mat and left. The box was torn open and the bed is scratched. This woman who called to take the complaint claimed to "take care" of the issue then followed up with "i know the driver, ill have a chat with him" so basically nothing will be done for his lack of professionalism and pure negligence with other people's packages/money. If someone has a way to have things shipped strictly with anyone BUT this garbage company I'd appreciate it. read more

My experience was okay. They weren't the friendliest and definitely have room to improve how efficiently they run their business. Some workers were standing around when they likely could've been moving the line along. We were able to ship my package in a timely manner once it was my turn, but I think more than one person should've been helping with the line. It doesn't hurt to smile either. read more

This is the worst carrier service I have ever dealt with. They hire drivers who are lazy and incompetent. They do not look for addresses, all they do is driver around and then go back to the Hammond sub station. It's utterly ridiculous that you pay to have something delivered and yet still have to go pick it up. When to call to complain you get told someone will be contacting you and never hear anything! My husband have been doing business with UPS HAMMOND LOCATION for many years. He shipped painting throughout the United States and abroad. Well one day he entered the location in an attempt to ship a painting to Pennsylvania. Keep in mind the painting weighted 8 pounds and was a size 30x40. He was given a price of 147.00. Artis Lewis have shipped this size painting there for many years and have never paid over forty dollars for the shipment! We were charged the max weight amount OF 50 pounds because we were told it was in a RURAL AREA AND MUST BE HARD TO GET TOO!! Well we went to FED EX AND PAID 30.00 for the same painting! My wife and I needed to ship some delicate art across the country. We took our items to the UPS Store in Hammond, LA, told them what we needed and hoped for the best. The gentleman who helped us (I believe his name was Raymond) seemed very capable but we were still nervous. Our packages showed up a day early and everything was in perfect condition. As we unpacked the items we were amazed at the care that was obviously taken. Boxes were custom made with heavy cardboard. Doubled lined. Lots of bubble wrap. One of the items was actually zip tied in place to keep it secure. We couldn't happier. Many thanks to Raymond and his staff for taking such wonderful care of our precious items. read more

I think this store operates about as smoothly and efficiently as possible considering the volume of business that passes through there on a daily basis. I'm have no problems whatsoever with this store; however, because the conglomerate UPS machine has no real complaint department, I'm posting my complaint with UPS on this site so that all of you can beware. I shipped a king cake from this location to my son a short distance away in Starkville, MS on 1/25/2021. Considering the fragile nature involved in shipping a cake, we double wrapped it, put it into a tight-fitting box and the clerk at the store even put it into another box....and wrote "this side up" on the outside. She ensured me that they ship many king cakes and that it would be fine. It only took one day to ship, but it did not arrive fine. I wanted to attached the before and after photos but Yelp wouldn't let me. The UPS people must have treated the box like a football for it to have ended up like this. Totally unacceptable. Fortunately, however, due to the fact my son and his roommates are starving college students, they still devoured it and said it was delicious. read more
